This financial company

This financial company, including the dealers who sell their vehicles are the worst choice one can make in England. Here in England and specifically in Mercedes Benz, England the customer has absolutely no rights, if you take a car and financing it is as if you got sick from cancer, you have no salvation except to lose your health or a huge part of your money. Thanks to them I realized that in my life I will never think of a Mercedes and buy too.

No empathy from MBFS regarding Covid Situation

Lost my job due to Covid. I have asked Mercedes Benz Finance to show sympathy to my situation, but instead are hounding me for money. Had initial holiday payment then they cancelled it and added the missing payments to a new monthly cost... I asked if the balloon payment could be reviewed, but no, not interested. I can't return the car as less than 2 years in to a 4 year PCP. Dealership says the value of my GLC 250 now worth only half what I paid for it. Difference is -£13k...even though I have already paid £12k in monthly costs. Now in no-mans land with MBFS wanting payments to continue and without the ability to return the car. We have had to put our house up for sale as a consequence of this poor customer service and little empathy to our situation. Having had Mercs for the last 12 years, I will never again entertain MBFS or MB as a Co.
I have asked for a senior manager or the CEO to contact me, but they are not willing to speak to me. Dreadful customer care.

Absolute incompetence

Absolute incompetence. I do not take any pleasure in writing a review like this, but there needs to be some accountability. Poor customer service and no process in place. I don't want to go into all of the details, for they are numerous, but I have been waiting on a title for over 10 days after wiring the payoff. Then, I was told the "overage" from the payoff would be sent out by FedEX overnight on this past Wednesday and today is Saturday- have not received. I called today for tracking number and was told have to wait until Monday. I have spoken to countless number of individuals and have wasted an untold amount of time. All I have heard is apologies and "this will be a learning experience for our team." And, then, nothing gets completed. Good luck trying to get in touch with a manager. I have been a good, loyal customer of MBFS, but I do not have anything positive to say about my experience. I would avoid dealing with MBFS at all costs. You've been warned.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS.....

Absolutely disgusting customer service and complaint handling with Mercedes Benz Finance, DO NOT EVER deal with them or even get a Mercedes unless you want deal with rip-off merchants and be left with regrets and unnecessary bills.

Below are a summary of the issues I faced during my agreement with them between 2018-2020:

1. Delivery date of the vehicle was scheduled for 8th August 2018, I took a day of work on this day to be at home for collection. No body turned up on the day, not even a phone call to tell me why the driver hadn’t arrived. I had to start chasing at 16:10 pm in the afternoon to find out where the car was, and then was told the driver will be coming tomorrow now (9th August 2020) with no reasoning behind why he hadn’t turned up. As a result, making me take an extra day of work for nothing.

2. When the car finally arrived a day later than scheduled, the state of it was utterly disgusting – (attaching pictures for your reference) and just when I thought things couldn’t get any worse, there was a staple pin hanging out of the driver’s seat – (attached picture for your reference). I then complained and was told to take it to a local dealer to get it fixed, I took it to Mercedes Stratford, and it took a whole day for them to replace. Again, making me take another day of work. How can a brand-new car arrive so dirty and damaged?

3. My lease end date was 7th August 2020, an inspector came from BCA logistics as they are the Mercedes Benz Finance authorised collectors. He said it would cost me £170.00p in total (£85.00 per wheel) and marked the severity as “Under 2mm deep over 20% rim or on spoke”. In the contract agreement it clearly states that “Minor scuffing or damage under 25mm to the vehicle alloy or steel rim edge or wheel face.” is ACCEPTABLE. When I made a formal complaint, they acknowledged that no charges were due. Even the inspector himself in his words said, “Mercedes are out to make money from everyone”. I wish I had recorded his words on video.

When I made a formal complaint about all the above issues, they replied saying they will not be upholding the complaint. For point 1, they said it’s a different entity that is responsible for delivery even though the contract is with Mercedes Benz Finance. They take no responsibility.

For point 2, no acknowledgement what so-ever of the condition the vehicle arrived in.

Complete and utter shambles of an organisation and advise everyone to look elsewhere. Even giving it 1 star is a joke in itself.

DO NOT LEASE FROM MERCEDES

At the end of the lease they collected car, inspected it and found only superficial dames to the alloy wheels that then said was non chargeable.
20 days later and another 100 miles on the clock, the car is reinspected and has a large scratch and dent in the bonnet. Luckily, I had videoed the car an hour before they collected it, showing no damage, thinking this would be the end of the matter, but they still want me to pay for the damage. Numerous calls (you have to phone them!!) and emails and 4 months down the line from returning the vehicle I'm getting nowhere. Shocking. Information passed to BBC Watchdog and now with my solicitor.

Mercedes-Benz Financial is a CON

Mercedes-Benz Financial is a CON, never lease a car from them.

I've leased 2 cars from them, stupid me not learning from first time. Each time, when returning the car, they do not inspect on collection as promised and then don't send you any information about any charges for months and then make demands for £1000's for fictitious amount of damages.
Debt collectors are then involved threatening court action. Calling the service centre is useless as they are always busy. Emails are ignored and not responded to.
I've persevered with repeated calls and emails and for the last invoice, got it dropped from £4000 to £1700 but still for fictitious damages.I complained and they offered a discount but refuses to accept my photographic proof that there's nothing wrong with the car.
MBFS is setup to con you out of your money when you return the car.
