Pathetic customer service and mobile banking services

I want to raise a serious concern regarding MCB Bank’s customer service and their extremely inconvenient mobile banking policy.

I have been a loyal customer for the past 5–6 years, but one issue that has consistently caused frustration is their process whenever I change my phone. Every single time I switch devices, I am forced to visit a branch just to access my own banking app.

What’s worse is the complete lack of coordination. When I visit the branch, I am told to first call customer support to unbind my previous device. Then I’m asked to visit the branch AGAIN on another day for biometric verification. This means multiple unnecessary steps, wasted time, and zero consideration for the customer’s convenience.

I have raised this issue multiple times, but nothing changes. Honestly, why on earth—in this digital era, where AI is everywhere and other banks are offering seamless at-home biometric verification and digital onboarding—am I still required to physically visit a branch every single time I make a simple device change? Why is this even a thing?

During my recent visit, I asked why I can’t use the app on multiple devices simultaneously, especially when I actively use more than one phone. The only response I got was, “It’s company policy.” No flexibility, no solution.

What shocked me even more was the attitude. When I expressed my frustration and said I might discontinue using their services due to such policies, the representative casually responded, “That’s your personal choice.” No attempt to retain a long-term customer. No accountability. Nothing.

Is this really the level of customer service we are expected to accept? Policies are one thing, but the way customers are treated is another. This experience has been disappointing and honestly makes you question why supporting local services often comes with such compromises.

MCB seriously needs to rethink both its policies and its customer service approach.

MCB is easily the worst ever bank ever…

MCB is easily the worst ever bank ever served in Pakistan. I opened a freelancer bank account, visited the branch twice to get my biometrics done (the second time for app access). From then onwards, they would email me every week to get my biometric done otherwise my account would be blocked within 2 days. The first time this happened, I went got my biometric done for the 3rd time. After only 10 days, the received the same message again to get my biometric done, I ignored it, and my account was blocked within 2 days. WOW! So their system wouldn't update on my biometrics and I need to keep doing this every week! are you serious? The customer service also sucks and wouldn't resolve the issue permanently.

This Bank is completely unreliable

This Muslim Commercial Bank is completely unreliable—pathetic customer service, a broken online system, failed OTP delivery, and absurd login restrictions make it one of the worst banking experiences ever.

Car Finance

Malik Imran - Manager Collection Operations, Lahore, Pakistan

The above mentioned individual has been creating hurdles for me to get NOC for a Vehicle that I have paid all the installments long ago. I had applied for the NOC in July 2025 and it is 23 Sep 2025 today.

Everytime I contact him - he comes up with a different excuse. It has been more than 5 times I had contacted him for my NOC.

I had got an other Vehicle from MCB as well and getting NOC for that was also a nightmare.

Becareful people if you are getting a Car finance loan from MCB.

MCB worst of the worst . . .

Evidently MCB goes all out to make sure that you cannot access your account. In my over 60 years of experience with banks on three continents, MCB is by far the worst of the worst

Worst Banking

Worst Banking Experience – Stay Away from MCB

MCB is hands down one of the most pathetic banks I’ve ever dealt with. Their customer service is a complete disaster – untrained, unresponsive, and shockingly careless. Calling their helpline is a waste of time; only to be greeted by someone who has no clue how to resolve your issue.

Their branch staff? Equally useless. Arrogant behavior, zero professionalism, and no sense of urgency. You walk in with a simple request and end up spending hours just to get basic work done.

MCB’s digital banking is another nightmare. Their app and online portal constantly crash or show errors, and their so-called IT department never fixes anything on time. Whether it's failed transactions, blocked cards, or login issues – you're on your own.

If you value your time, money, and peace of mind – AVOID MCB at all costs. This bank is a disgrace to modern banking standards.

Debit Card not recieved 1 month

I ordered my MCB debit card over a month ago, but I still haven't received it. Whenever I visit the branch, they claim they haven't received it, while the customer care team tells me it was delivered to the branch. The service quality is disappointingly low."

I don’t understand what went wrong with their customer service staff recently seems like they have hired incompetent staff who do not even bother to read customer email or complaints properly and keep sending generic responses or they are not competent enough to read and analyse emails.
