Our experience with McLeod windows got off to a bumpy start as our original dealings with Aidan led to our order and subsequent installation being delayed by several months. But the reason why I feel confident in rating our experience as a 4/5 is because Marcela and Kevin stepped up to make sure that the initial mistakes were corrected. I'd also like to rate our experience with the installers as 100 out of 5!!!: Tarras and Marion were exceptional. Tarras's communication ahead of time as to when they were coming and his ongoing communication to update me on slight changes in their arrival time was greatly appreciated. and their work was exemplary! they were professional, clean, respectful and timely. Thank you to Kevin for personally coming to my home to meet me and to thank us for our patronage. and thank you to Marcela for taking my numerous calls and for her many communications throughout the process to keep me informed. with gratitude Mark and Sandy

My affair started in February 2025. I noticed fogging occurring between the sealed glass panes of our entry door. While not detrimental to keeping out the weather, it was important to maintain the thermal efficiency of the door.

A couple of years earlier, I had McLeod Windows and Doors (a certified dealer of Koltech Windows and Entry Systems) replace other glass units throughout my home that had failed in a similar manner. Their work then was exemplary, efficient and cost effective. Having a solid reputation and a previous history of excellent work, I gave them a call to discuss my door unit. I spoke with Aiden Ballard about the work and discussed that replacement would be necessary until the weather warmed up.
I called Aiden again in mid March to discuss the project further and requested a rep come to my home to measure the glass for replacement. Aiden came out to inspect the job and stated that his installer would need to be involved to get the correct size required (standard procedure). It took two weeks and a second phone call to Aiden to get the installer to arrive at my home to measure the door glass. A quote was generated and sent to my attention which I verbally approved.

By mid May, I had yet to hear from Aiden regarding the replacement unit. After making contact with Aiden, I found out that the order had slipped his attention. He quickly prepared a contract and sent same to my attention which I signed and I returned same to Aiden. Aiden assured me that the manufacture of the door glass would proceed expeditiously. A 50% deposit for the glass manufacture was made May 27th.

May turned to June and then July. By July 11th, I decided to call Aiden to determine the status of my order. Aiden was away from his office and not due to return until the following week. Others from McLeod Windows were also away. I finally got to talk with Marcela Gonzalez. She noticed that my order had been fulfilled in June and notification made to the installer for completion. After talking with the installer, my glass unit was installed the following week.

What gets me and the reason for my poor review is for a simple order and install, it required 5 months and repeated calls to McLeod Windows and doors to get any action on my issue. Never once did any person from McLeod Windows take the initiative to follow up on any aspect of the order except for payment. I would not recommend McLeod Windows for any future glass installation work until they resolve their internal issues.
