A good way to keep myself safe.
I was told all about Medialarm247:and thought it was better than the system I had. It arrived promptly and set it up. I accidentally pressed the button twice and I was answered immediately. When I explained it was an accident they were fine. Since having the system I have put a key safe outside so this can be used by a few more people than I had originally Fortunately it hasn't had to be used. I do feel safer now especially when I go into town

Prey On The Elderly And Vulnerable. AVOID
Shocking Organisation! AVOID.
My elderly mother has dementia and is vulnerable. We had been considering a Lifeline through a care programme at her GPs but decided against this for now as she is not alone very often.
I am her daughter and was appalled to find an alarm had been delivered to her home coincidentally sometime after, but not connected with her GP appointment. I checked. On further investigation I found an unopened photocopied, unsigned, unprofessional letter from MediAlarm247 confirming her order and that £89.99 had already been debited from her Bank Account and a Direct Debit set up.
I followed this up immediately speaking to a James at MediAlarm247 who advised that a call had been had with my mother on 10/1 followed by and ‘onboarding call’ on 22/1 and another call on 29/1. After pushing for information James advised me that a marketing company contact people so how did they get my mother’s number, James would not or could not answer this question and I have received no reply from the organisation on their email. James did however play back one of the phone calls with my mother (not the first) and I was devastated to hear her frail voice being pushed and bullied into giving her bank details (from a man which sounded like those from a scam call centre), full name and address to sign up for this alarm. When I spoke to her she was so upset and said she did not want the alarm, never wanted the alarm so why are these people permitted to pressure elderly people into signing up. The caller(s) should have picked up that my mother was not able to be answering these questions, the answers she gave about her health were not correct because she does not have the mental capacity to answer them. It is clear they are only interested in making a sale.
After my call with James he refunded the first payment of £89.99 promptly but when I called back and insisted on details of how they obtained my mother’s telephone number and recordings of all the telephone calls he said I would have to prove I have Power of Attorney. I also pointed out that in between our calls I had read other reviews on this platform and all he could say was ‘we have a lot of positive reviews’. No remorse, no concern about the unethical way in which they obtain their custom.
I have reported the organisation to my mother’s bank, the direct debit has been cancelled.
I also will be approaching Trading Standards and possibly Watchdog.

I am so pleased with the service and set up from Medialarm, they have been a god send. After finding my mother recently after a fall which resulted in a fractured NOF, I can’t tell you how much better I feel to have the reassurance that help is available at the press of a button.
From the very first phone call, the team were incredibly kind, patient and informative. They explained everything clearly and made what felt like a stressful situation so much easier to manage. The installation and set up was straightforward, and they took the time to ensure we fully understood how it works before leaving.
The equipment itself is brilliant. It is simple, clear and easy for my mum to use, which was my biggest concern. After losing a lot of her independence, my mother now feels more confident being at home alone and I feel reassured knowing that if anything happens again, she can get immediate support without having to reach a phone.
The response team are amazing too and very professional and reassuring.
I honestly wish we had arranged this sooner! Medialarm have made such a difference to our family and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to anyone with an elderly parent or vulnerable relative. Worth every penny for the peace of mind alone.

PLEASE READ. IMPORTANT INFORMATION
I recently spoke to Caitlin and Kevin, both of whom were professional, patient and genuinely helpful. This was because I had received a scam call for someone saying they were MediAlarm247. The number called from was not recognized so clearly a scam.
I was concerned to read some of the negative reviews here, as several appear to relate not to this company, but to individuals falsely using its name — something that sadly seems to be happening more frequently, particularly to vulnerable people.
Some reviews describe relatives being persuaded to hand over bank details to people they later could not trace. That is frightening, but it’s important to recognise that these experiences do not appear to involve this company directly.
My own contact with the company was reassuring, and both Caitlin and Kevin took the time to explain the situation clearly. I would encourage anyone reading the reviews to bear in mind that criminal activity carried out by unauthorised third parties can unfairly distort public feedback, and criticism should be directed accordingly rather than at a legitimate business.

Conflicting information re returns
While the welcome documents listed a return mechanism, I was later told items could not be returned. My son returned the item, and the return was accepted. I did not feel it was value for money, but as I did not use the device, do not necessarily judge them by this post.

A horrible experience
This company caused untold distress to my elderly step father who lives alone.
They pressured him into giving bank details and key safe code (which he knew he shouldn’t do, but couldn’t get them off the phone).
It took a lengthy phone call with the bank to assure him that all was well and they hadn’t emptied his bank account.
Then a month later he received a letter stating that a yearly direct debit had been set up! This was without his consent and caused more distress.
Fortunately we were quick enough to cancel this with his bank and no money was lost.
What a despicable way to treat elderly vulnerable people. I would never recommend them based on the bullying tactics used to gain clients.

Cold Calling and Pressure Selling
This company cold called by elderly Aunt and kept her on the phone for over an hour. Pressured her into giving them her bank details and set up a service that she does not need. She already has a telecare service from her local council. I e-mailed Medialarm247 after their paperwork arrived, but they failed to respond to our request that they cancel the service. This morning (05/01/26) I find that they have set up a direct debit on her bank account. We have cancelled this and reported the matter to the bank.
This is disgraceful behaviour from a company that purports to help to elderly and vulnerable people.

I'M AFRAID I DON'T BUY YOUR STOCK INSENCERE RESPONSE. YOU HAVE "APOLOGISED" TO EVERYONE WHO HAS COMPLAINED ABOUT YOUR SALES TECHNIQUES, BUT HAVE DONE NOTHING TO CHANGE THESE. YOU ARE CONTINUING TO COLD CALL ELDERLY PEOPLE AND PRESSURING THEM INTO BUYING YOUR SERVICE. I HAVE ALREADY E MAILED YOU TWICE (22/12/25 & 05/01/26), QUOTING THE PLAN NUMBER, AND YOU HAVE FAILED TO RESPOND. IF YOU WOULD BOTHER TO SEARCH YOUR INBOX WITH MY NAME (SEE ABOVE) YOU WILL FIND MY E MAILS AND YOU CAN RESPOND TO ME.
Further Update - So I e mailed this company again (3rd time) as they requested timed at 14:02 on 06/01/26. Guess what? Yup no response. Hopefully they will respond to Trading Standards!
