Meatspace VR in Wembley was incredible

Meatspace VR in Wembley was incredible. I've been to a few VR experiences around West London including Ealing.....but nothing comes close to the Boxpark Wembley one.

VR Zombies was incredible! Proper immersive and graphics were gnarlyyyy!

Scam Meetspace VR

As of today I have had to escalate this issue with Meetspace VR Wembley:

You have failed to act on my final demand. The £56 duplicate charge remains unpaid, despite your previous assurance that the refund had been processed.

I am now preparing to initiate legal action and file a formal complaint with Trading Standards and the Financial Ombudsman. You have 48 hours to return the funds to my account or provide evidence that the refund has cleared.

No further warnings will be given.

Great new owners

The original company went out of business at Christmas and I was owed £100 on a cancelled booking. I did not hear from the administrators but the new owners Co reacted me and despite no legal obligation they refunded my money. Good luck to the new owners and if this is an example of their customer service they deserve to be successful.

Could have been amazing but they stole from me

My party was part of the batch of people who had sessions cancelled in December.

After being told that it was rebooked for another date, the ticket was closed. It however had NOT been rebooked.

I asked for a refund, one was promised. A refund was not forthcoming.

The MD John Lilley got in touch with me by phone, which I appreciated, and explained the situation and promised that I would receive a full refund. This was on the 2nd January.

It is now the 19th February, and I am still chasing the refund.

This could have been amazing, and by all accounts people who weren't stolen from have had a great time. Until they fix their processes and comms, I must advise to avoid this company.

Shocking Customer Service and imaginary refunds!

UPDATE:

I have been contacted today personally by an MD who has explained that due to some issues it's not my place to share, it is possibly the Chargeback might fail. I have the personal email and telephone number of this person who has assured me that they will ensure it is dealt with correctly and asked for patience as they sort this out.

That is customer service and I will update again in the future!

Booked with my Partner and Son to attend on 30/12/24....

Was contacted via email (which went to my junk folder) on the 27/12/24 stating the building would be closed for health and safety reasons and this would affect my booking.

I was offered to rebook or be refunded.

On 28/12/24 I requested a refund via email and was told via email the refund had been processed and be with me in 5-7 days (no mention of working days).

On 8/01/25 I emailed stating I had not received my refund yet and where was my refunded. I received a reply via email the same day stating the refund could take up to 10 working days, longer due to the Bank Holiday.

There was no reference to having been told 5-7 days originally.

I then emailed on 17/01/25 - 14 working days after the refund was supposed to have been processed asking for an update on my refund as it had not been received.

This email was not responded to.

I emailed on 20/01/25 as I had still not received either a reply to my email of the 17/01/25 OR my refund. I laid out the dates of communications and the amount of days I was told the refund had taken. Also that my previous emailed hadn't been answered. I stated if I hadn't received my refund by the 21/01/25 I would request my bank to initiate a 'Chargeback' on the payment.

Today is the 24/01/25 - 19 working days after my refund was apparently processed, As I had still not received the refund OR any further communication from meetspaceVR (ft Zero Latency) I have just had to go through the long chargeback process with my bank to obtain a refund and of course nope that meetspaceVR (ft Zero Latency) doesn't dispute the charge back.

The fact I had still not received my refund and meetspaceVR had stopped communicating with me makes me wonder if my refund was actually processed at all!

While I do understand that meetspaceVR had no control over the circumstance that led to my booking being cancelled. meetspaceVR have control over the subsequent communications and customer service.

Avoid this company at all costs

I would like to rate this company zero stars. They cancelled my daughter's birthday party in Nottingham I asked if the booking could be switched to their Birmingham site which apparently wasn't allowed so low and behold I was told all I could do was pay again for the Birmingham branch and await a refund. It is now 4 weeks since they cancelled my booking and I am still waiting for a refund. If you call their telephone line nobody answers, so I have emailed but the responses are vague and unhelpful. I have asked for an email address to speak with someone higher but this is not available. I now only have 1 option available I will have to report them to the ombudsman. This company is awful not only with dealing with customers but also the health and safety of the venues was dangerous and concerning and therefore will need to further discuss this concern with the correct channel. As a parent I would never take a child back here.

MeetspaceVR (Nottingham Venue Booking) - A Disastrous Experience

I am writing this review to express my extreme disappointment and frustration with MeetspaceVR. Our recent experience with this company has been nothing short of appalling.

We had booked a VR experience to celebrate a birthday, making additional bookings at a nearby restaurant to accompany the event. However, on two separate occasions, our VR booking was cancelled with a mere 24 hours' notice.

Despite the clear impact of their cancellations, MeetspaceVR took no responsibility for the situation and simply blamed the venues landlord (Intu Victoria Centre).

After having had to ask, they offered us extra credits to rebook. However, they later reneged on this offer and proceeded to issue a simple refund of the initial booking fee, completely ignoring the promotional offer that could no longer be redeemed. To add insult to injury, they have since increased their prices, making it impossible for us to rebook without paying more.

The phone/online customer service we received was abysmal and inconsistent. Their attitude was callous and indifferent, with no empathy for the stress and inconvenience we had experienced. Despite being given multiple opportunities to rectify the situation, they chose to alienate a group of loyal and repeat customers.

I strongly advise anyone considering booking with MeetspaceVR to think twice. Their unreliable service, poor customer support, and lack of accountability make for an entirely unsatisfactory experience.

My daughters knowing I am a gamer got…

My daughters knowing I am a gamer got me this Meetspacervr reality experience for Father’s Day last year, l booked it for Tuesday the 11 June. Not sure what to expect but it was an absolutely brilliant experience. The host Leo was funny and assisted us with our kit, I was in a team of 3 as my friend was unable to make it. As for the gaming experience I felt like I was in an actual Zombie game. The team I was in were a couple and we got on well. It is an experience I would tell any gamer of someone who wants a scary realistic game experince to do. I will be definitely doing it again. Big shout again goes out to host Leo and Meetspacervr.

I booked an experience and paid only to…

Revised from 1-Star to 4-Star. As a gesture of goodwill, I should get a full refund in 72 hrs or less.

I booked an experience and paid only to find out my weekend had been cancelled. This was within 10 minutes of booking. I emailed them right away only to be told about a no refund policy. Not at all customer friendly or in keeping with customer service in 2023 - avoid. A gift card has been offered but sadly this fall so short of 5-star customer friendly policy.

Blew our minds…

Incredible experience with brand new kit! Really well looked after by Chris and his team during the crazy heat.
Works best with a group of friends and was really surprised by the graphics, immersion and there was no motion sickness. These are not your home VR kits! Thanks Chris!
