Worst invoicing company I've ever used. I received payment from one of my clients via Gusto. Melio was the processor on it and they sent me an email asking information about my company. I replied with the information. The responded a day later asking for the same information. I responded again with the information worded differently thinking maybe I didn't respond correctly. The next day I got the same email. Contacted support and what did they ask? They asked me to respond to the email they had sent requesting information. Still unpaid from an invoice that was paid 5 days ago.

Horrible platform and customer service. We’re having to get the feds involved with a matter dealing with their practice. They will lock and freeze your accounts and use generic responses “unable to verify”despite having a good standing account for 4 years. They give you no options to cure and this is consistent with other complaints. We now have vendors receiving payments late at the hands of Melio’s incompetent staff. Stay away find an actual bank to handle your bill payments.

I am writing to formally complain about Melio’s failure to comply with my verified request for account deletion and removal of all associated personal information, submitted on Nov 28, 2025. Despite repeated correspondence, your team has refused to process this request, citing the inability to verify an account that was intentionally created with fictitious information for testing purposes. Under applicable data privacy regulations, individuals have the right to request the deletion of personal information collected by companies, even if the data provided during account creation was not accurate or was fabricated for testing purposes. By refusing to honor my deletion request without providing a reasonable alternative method of verification, Melio is in violation of these legal obligations. Your communications indicate that no deletion will occur unless a government-issued ID or other verification documentation is provided. Since the account contains fictitious data and does not correspond to any real individual or entity, it is impossible to provide the requested documentation. Furthermore, your continued failure to act exceeds the legally mandated period for responding to such requests and demonstrates an unreasonable verification requirement that does not reflect a good-faith effort to comply with privacy regulations. As a result of your refusal to process my deletion request, I am formally requesting that Melio immediately delete all accounts associated with my email and permanently remove all data associated with these accounts from your systems, including emails, test data, and any internal records, and confirm in writing that this deletion has been completed. If Melio fails to comply with this request within 30 days from Nov 28, 2025, I will escalate this matter to the appropriate regulatory authorities for investigation and potential enforcement action. I expect a prompt written confirmation of receipt of this complaint and a timeline for compliance with my deletion request.

Unacceptable and disrespectful customer support. My account was blocked and they refused to re-verify it, despite all required documents being provided. As a result, I was unable to pay a vendor. Worth noting—it’s an Israeli company.

Poor product. I reported an issue on September 11th, and as of November 19th it still hasn’t been resolved. They use Wise to send all their payments, so instead of signing up for Melio, you can just work directly with Wise - it’s easier and honestly cheaper. Their support team is fine and the account manager tried, but whoever handles their technical side is doing a terrible job. I’ve wasted two months trying to work with them. I’m just trying to save you the hassle.
