Menu Tile at Wold Top Brewery

Menu tile has given our customers a positive experience in contactless ordering and payment. Justin has been great in getting Wold Top Brewery set up so that we could run our events safely and effectively. Menu Tile is easy to use and brilliantly clear - it was exactly what we needed for running our events here at the Brewery.

This company is just using scare…

This company is just using scare tactics trying to cash in on Covid. Taking digs at JE uber DR thats the director. 1st rule of business dont sell on price.

I call BS on Uber Eats’ latest “Support Your Local” campaign.

Today I received a marketing email from Uber Eats titled “Support Your Local (from your sofa)”.

You may know, I am the owner of Hull-based tech company, Menu Tile. As a small business, enabling restaurants to offer customers collection and delivery for a 2% commission on orders, it makes my blood boil to see a company like Uber Eats charge 13%-30% for their service.

I find it unethical for Uber Eats to curry favour with consumers by appealing to their good nature (i.e. wanting to support their locals), when in reality they’re lining their own pockets by charging exorbitant and extortionate fees to the very same restaurants they claim to support.

Being in daily contact with venue owners, I know first hand that the fees incumbents like Uber Eats, Deliveroo and Just Eat are charging restaurants, who already operate on small margins, can be crippling.

The sad part is, most customers have no idea that the majority of profit from their order is going to big business - not the small business owners in their community they’re trying to keep afloat.

Please think when you use these companies, who are you really supporting?

Flexible

Better to deal with smaller companies like this. The month to month payment gives me the flex I need to cancel anytime. none of these disgusting “no get out clauses”. It’s a good system staff find easy to use and we’re seeing new customers come in

Helpful staff
