Extremely disappointed with…
Extremely disappointed with Mercedes-Benz UK!
I purchased my 2024 Mercedes-AMG GLS 63 in March 2026, with approximately 18,000–20,000 miles on the clock.
The problems started just 2 days after collecting the vehicle!
Harsh and jerky gearbox changes, strong vibrations, knocking and banging from the rear drivetrain, and various electronic issues.
The vehicle has been in Mercedes-Benz workshops multiple times, including Loughton, Sheffield and Chelmsford, yet the problems remain unresolved.
Even today, my GLS 63 is still at Mercedes-Benz Chelmsford, waiting for a proper diagnosis and repair!
After almost 8 months of ongoing issues, repeated workshop visits and inconvenience, Mercedes-Benz still expects me to pay for a courtesy car while my own vehicle remains in their workshop under warranty!
How is this acceptable?
I have been patient long enough. I simply want my vehicle properly repaired and these issues taken seriously.
Mercedes-Benz UK, is this really the level of customer service AMG owners should expect?

I have experienced problems with quite a delay on a bodywork repair caused by delays in obtaining the parts required, a brand new model. The customer services department have been excellent with their communications and the rectifying of the car damage.
Extremely disappointing experience with…
Extremely disappointing experience with Mercedes-Benz — my EQV has been off the road for six months
I purchased a 2021 Mercedes-Benz EQV Sport Premium Plus directly from Mercedes-Benz on 27 March 2026 for £33,600. Unfortunately, the vehicle developed a problem requiring a replacement electrical wiring harness, part number A4475407291.
I took the vehicle to an authorised Mercedes-Benz garage on 24 April 2026. Since then, my vehicle has remained at the garage for months because the required part has not been supplied.
I find it unacceptable that a premium vehicle manufacturer such as Mercedes-Benz has been unable to resolve this problem within a reasonable timeframe. I understand that parts availability can sometimes be challenging, but leaving a customer without their vehicle for such an extended period is extremely frustrating and has caused significant inconvenience.
I have tried to find the part myself, including searching suppliers internationally, because I want this matter resolved. It should not be the customer’s responsibility to search around the world for a component required to repair a Mercedes-Benz vehicle.
I expected much better service, communication and support from a premium brand. I need Mercedes-Benz to take ownership of this situation, provide a clear and realistic repair date, and offer a fair resolution that reflects the prolonged loss of use of my vehicle.
I am asking Mercedes-Benz UK to escalate my complaint urgently and explain what it intends to do to resolve this matter.
A premium price should come with premium after-sales service. Unfortunately, my experience so far has fallen far short of that expectation.
More than seven months to put right…
More than seven months to put right damage caused during a repair — and still no reliable communication
I took delivery of my new car in December 2025. About four weeks later, we noticed that the front driver’s seat was faulty. I took the car to Mercedes-Benz of Stratford, London, where they confirmed the fault and arranged to replace the seat.
On or around 6 March 2026, while carrying out the seat replacement, the work caused a large gouge in the leather on the driver’s door panel. Two smaller indentations were also left. I was then left waiting more than seven months for a replacement door panel. During that time, I sent repeated emails and received very little meaningful communication or progress. It was only after I contacted senior Mercedes-Benz management that the replacement panel was finally delivered to Stratford.
I booked the car in on Monday for what I understood to be a one-day repair. Stratford kept it all day, but did not return it and did not contact me with an update. I tried calling five or six times. The customer line rang and rang, with nobody answering.
On Tuesday morning, I finally managed to speak to someone and was told that the leather repairer who was supposed to complete the remaining work had not turned up. My understanding is that the car had sat at the dealership all day without the work being done. At the time of writing, I am still waiting for my vehicle to be returned.
This has been an appalling aftersales experience from beginning to end: damage during a repair, more than seven months waiting for it to be put right, repeated chasing, unanswered calls and yet another failed repair appointment. A premium badge means very little when the customer is left to chase for information and cannot get a straightforward update about their own car.
I would not recommend Mercedes-Benz of Stratford to anyone expecting dependable service, proper communication or basic consideration for the customer.
They will rip you off
They will rip you off, they will take your monthly warranty payment and will not cover mechanical or electrical factory fitted parts even though it is clearly stated in the documentation that they do cover
Woolston Mercedes Benz tried to charge…
Woolston Mercedes Benz tried to charge me for servicing when I have a maintenance plans. They tried to say they only accept Mercedes Benz maintenance plans not any other company. I had to get the maintenance plan company involved and miraculously it was accepted. This was after a full day of phoning , not being able to speak to the right person and being told they would phone me back, which never happened.
Shocking service or lack of it.
It appears that they only like dealing with people without a maintenance plans! I wonder why???
Poor customer service
For completeness, I'd like to record my experience with the personnel involved at both Mercedes-Benz Oxford and Mercedes-Benz Winchester. I believe it is important to distinguish between those who were helpful and professional and those whose handling of the matter added to the difficulty and delay.
At Mercedes-Benz Oxford, our first point of contact was Patrick, a mechanic/technician. Unfortunately, I found that the initial handling through him was not helpful and contributed to major delays with my car staying with them for a month with no progress.
By contrast, Alex, the Parts Manager, was extremely helpful. He took the time to listen, explained the issues clearly and made genuine efforts to assist us as well as making me an offer and giving me a bit of compensation for the delays. His approach was constructive and professional, and I would like that to be recognised, it only took two days after speaking to him to receive my car. Unfortunately the issue wasn't fully solved. And that's where my next issue lies.
I then contacted the company again where I spoke to Matt, the Service Manager. Unfortunately, my experience with him was very different. I found his manner rude and unhelpful, and his involvement did not give me confidence that my concerns were being handled with the seriousness and professionalism I expected. He suggested that I bring the car back and pay for another set of diagnostics as well as fixing issues that I had already complained about the first time I brought my car to them.
After speaking to Matt I decided to contact another dealership, Mercedes-Benz Winchester, the experience was considerably better. The manager, whose name I unfortunately do not know, took ownership of the situation and arranged for Rebecca to assist us.
Rebecca, in a customer/service representative role, was extremely helpful, supportive and professional throughout. She communicated well and treated our concerns seriously.
I also wish to acknowledge the technician and reception team at Winchester, who were consistently helpful and professional in their dealings with us. Mercedes-Benz Winchester gave me the support I required when I approached the Oxford team. The services that they offered were excellent and they did a better job than the Oxford branch.
I am sharing my experience not to personalise the complaint unnecessarily, but to give Mercedes-Benz an accurate account of the customer journey. The contrast between the two locations was clearly different. At Winchester, I felt there was a genuine effort to assist and move the matter forward. At Oxford, parts of the process left me feeling that I was being passed around without clear ownership of the underlying technical problem.
Rossetts / Mercedes-Benz Vans
Rossetts / Mercedes-Benz Vans
I made a formal complaint regarding my new Mercedes-Benz Vito 119, supplied by Rossetts Commercials Worthing.
The vehicle was registered on 30 April 2026 and I believe I collected it on or around 8 May 2026. Approximately 10 days after collection I reported a serious concern with the way it drives.
When travelling uphill the van loses power even with the accelerator fully depressed. When travelling downhill it gains speed to the extent that I have to keep my foot on the brake. This happens most of the time and has caused me concern about the safety and suitability of continuing to use a brand-new vehicle.
The vehicle was returned for investigation and a diagnostic test was carried out on 26 June 2026. I was advised that no fault was found (case 2379473).
A further visit was subsequently arranged so that I could demonstrate the issue during a road test with a Mercedes technician (case 23983093). Importantly, the behaviour I had complained about occurred during that road test. I was told the uphill behaviour was “kick-down” and that the brakes should be used when travelling downhill. That explanation has not resolved my concern about the severity of the behaviour.
The matter has continued under case 22452723. I have also raised it with Auto Union Finance and made clear that I do not consider the vehicle fit for purpose/satisfactory or safe for me to continue using in this condition.
The vehicle has now covered only approximately 2,034 miles and I am currently not using it because of these concerns.
I do not accept that the absence of a diagnostic fault code, by itself, adequately addresses the behaviour that I reported shortly after taking delivery and which was demonstrated with your technician present.
I have asked Mercedes to undertake a senior review of the complaint and provide me with:
• their records of the diagnostic investigation and road test, including relevant job cards and technician notes;
• their technical explanation for the behaviour experienced;
• confirmation of what further investigation or remedy they propose; and
• their proposed resolution of this complaint.
My preferred resolution is for the vehicle to be returned and the transaction/HP agreement appropriately unwound with compensation for the awful treatment I have had. I have separately made a formal complaint to the HP finance provider.
I await Mercedes/Rossetts' position and proposed resolution.

Gillian at Mercedes-Benz Sheffield was Brilliant!
Gillian at Mercedes-Benz Sheffield was brilliant. I've had a few issues with my car recently, and for some reason my car wasn't booked in when I took it in this morning, however what could have been a poor experience was turned into a positive one. Gillian was friendly, knowledgeable and showed empathy and my car was repaired. Now that's customer service!
Big name non existent in service!
Big name small in service!! I have bought a brand new car 2 month later issues. Brought in to their garage only to be told nothing wrong the same issue is ongoing since then. Now 8 month later the car with a 75 plate would not reverse! Called their road site assistant waiting for over 4 hours for them to arrive only to be called that the person who was meant to come has been called for another emergency!! Shock!! Pure shock!! Thats for a car that I paid 46K for!!!

Bought an SL amg 43 from the Coventry branch of Merecedes Benz...sales ok to begin with but when home only to discover 2 days later that the offside rear tyre should not have been fitted. This was a track slick tyre ( treadless on the outside) and having taken professional advice and inspection this could have caused a serious loss of control in the wet as it was incompatible with the other 3 road tyres fitted...the slick tyre cannot be mixed with normal road tyres. It was accepted by Merecedes this was an error and would reimburse me the £400 it cost to have it replaced... also it would have failed an MOT and yet they sold the car to me with a new MOT. I have still not recieved recompense after 6 weeks!
Spoke to Roger at Mercedes -Benz
Spoke to Roger at Mercedes -Benz, Blackpool very helpful and informative.
Mercedes Benz Ipswich
Mercedes Benz Ipswich : I booked my car in for a service using the pick up and return service which they offer for an extra payment . Received a text message from them last night reminding me of this happening today . This morning I was ready and waiting for someone to pick up my car as per the arrangement but nobody showed up . So I tried calling the Ipswich branch and absolutely no answer no matter which option I tried . I even tried using the new sales option thinking that they would surely answer that as they would be anticipating a new sale from it , but even that didn’t work . I was eventually put through to some call centre and when I explained the situation they had no idea what I was talking about . Eventually the call centre got back to me and told me that there has been “ a system error “ and I would have to reschedule for the end of October . I used to work in customer service and the “system error “ excuse is book 1, page1 , paragraph 1 in the vast book of excuses ! Try a different one next time ! I then went on to rebook an appointment online, this time using the drive there myself and wait method …lo and behold the next available appointment is for next week , funny that ! I sent an email to the branch and absolutely no response back from them . I’m on a service plan at the moment but once that stops I shall most definitely not get my car serviced by that branch and will probably use an ordinary service garage instead . I’m sure they will give me a better service than Mercedes Benz ! Selling luxury cars with a bargain bucket rate aftercare ! Absolutely shoddy , avoid at all cost . Not one apology received and I’m not holding my breath for one either . My advice to anyone thinking of using this service or anything else from this branch would be : go elsewhere !
I had a really great experience 😌
I had a really great experience with Zak at Mercedes-Benz Liverpool. He was absolutely amazing from start to finish — friendly, patient, knowledgeable and never made me feel pressured into making a decision. He took the time to go through everything with me clearly and made the whole experience really enjoyable. Although I've decided to hold off on changing my car for now, I would definitely come back to Zak when I'm ready. Thank you again for all your help!

So many bad reviews there is no point me wasting my time saying what probably others have said already. Shocking.
My car was only two months old and…
My car was only two months old and broke down on the way to my best friend’s wedding whose wedding cake I also made and had with me. The battery in the car died completely - I couldn’t call Mercedes through the buttons in the car and couldn’t get hold of roadside assistance either. As I was parked in someone’s paid parking bay, I couldn’t leave my car abandoned as I would risk getting it clamped so had to have it towed home for £280. As the fault was Mercedes’, I complained as I wanted to be reimbursed for something that was out of my control and they said no as I ‘chose’ to have it towed. It wasn’t about choice at all. I had no other option. I am now going through the financial ombudsman. The newer cars just seem to be getting worse and worse as well as their customer service.
Awful experience with mercedes derby!
Awful experience with mercedes derby!
I bought a car less than 18 months ago that now needs 4.4k worth of repairs and even though they sold me on the car as having a warranty that covers everything and that the car was fully serviced and mot'd yet they have refused to do the repairs or even contribute towards the repairs. Ive had no car for 6 weeks and no curtesy car has been provided or even offered during this time. Do not buy a car with these people, you will regret it massively! Worst service ive had in my 20 years dealing with garages
Terrible Customer Service
Terrible Customer Service!
Having purchased a brand new Mercedez GLC 4 Matic in January from LVC Auto Whitefield a Mercedez showroom, the heating stopped working 2 months later. Numerous trips to the service department which originally fobbed us off with ‘Resets’ and ‘it’s working’ zero communication between one visit to the next. They then said it was a ‘Mercedez issue’ and referred it to them. Chasing it weeks later they hadn’t.
Eventually they swapped the heating system where, upon collection, stated it was now working fine. Surprise, surprise on checking it on the trip home it still wasn’t working !!
Since the end of April, at which time they were waiting for ‘advice’ from the manufacturer we’ve heard nothing.
Upon chasing it at the end of August their only reply was ‘sorry we’re still waiting for advice’ !!!
So from new the heating system has worked less than a third of the time.
My request to speak to the General manager in the initial correspondence in April has been ignored, he’s obviously far to important to speak to customers and discuss their problems.
My request for a like for like loan vehicle have now been rebuffed. So ‘tuff’ to the customer, put up with the fault and maybe in the future together with Mercedez we may decide to address the problem, you just put up with the problem it’s nothing to do with us it’s the manufacturers issue. Taking zero responsibility for the vehicle ‘THEY’ sold me.
Looking forward to the Autumn and winter weather.
I only gave the review a one star as it’s the lowest possible to give.
Terrible customer service for breakdowns
I called out Roadside assistance regarding my MY24 EQB 250+ (2 years old owned from new) due to the AC Charging failing to charge the car. The fault was confirmed by the engineer as the car and not the charging unit. Mercedes then inform you to take it to nearest dealer for repair and a courtesy car will be arranged. However, the dealer takes absolutely nothing to do with the courtesy car and fobs you off back to the Mercedes roadside call centre. The call centre then tell you the dealer should confirm the courtesy car for you but can only do this once you arrive. When you inform the dealer they still take nothing to do with the courtesy car so you get stuck in a loop being passed from pillar to post. Stuck with a broken car and no clue about how to get a courtesy car - absolutely horrendous service for customers who have purchased brand new and still within warranty.
