Visited Merityre in Chertsey to get two new front tyres and to check wheel alignment on my wife's car, the service there is excellent.
I have used them before but had to leave a review this time, as literally all the staff were so friendly, professional and polite. They advised within 30 seconds which tyres we needed, offered all price range alternatives, plus they said they will perform the free wheel alignment check too. The tyres were done within 20-25 minutes. The wheel alignment within another 10-15 minutes. An all around quick & brilliant service, we will always go back there.

I have been using Merityre for years and can honestly say they are a real good bunch. I typically use the Andover and Basingstoke branches depending on who has what I need in. But they can get tyres to either branch the next day if needed. I recently had 2 new tyres fitted along with a new battery and 4 wheel aligment. I dropped the car off to them and they called me when it was ready. Excellent service and friendly staff and also very competitive. Also, they don't treat everyone like morons and only do the work that needs doing, unlike some other outfits out there that you hear horror stories about.
Petersfield branch. Excellent service, staff friendly and very helpful.
Great local branch in Wallington. Don’t use the other major company that we all probably know. Find these guys honest and don’t rip you off. Thought I needed a new back box possibly. They put the car on the ramp and said it was just the heat shield that had come loose and tightened .No charge. Will keep on using and recommending.
Thanks Merityre
The guys at Witney were brilliant! Quick, efficient and very polite. Bought a new tyre online, after I got a puncture, at a really good price. Thanks guys! I know where I’ll be coming in future :)
In August, I purchased 4 new tires from the Witney branch of Merityre.
I purchased a brand for the rear and a better, more expensive brand for the front as the tread pattern was better for bad weather. These were advised by the salesman at the branch.
Around October, I went back to my branch to ask them to check a vibration, perhaps a balance weight had come off. They inspected my tires and their most senior specialist took my vehicle for a drive and told me it was my steering rack. I questioned this as I had recently had it MOT tested. It has since been confirmed not to be the rack.(read below)
At the end of November, I suffered, what could only be described as a catastrophic failure to a front tyre.(at motorway speeds) Steel belts blown out and tyre deformed etc!
It turned out that they had fitted tires manufactured 8 years ago, to the front.
The manager admitted that they don't check the date as they rely on tires being sent to be within industry guidelines (approx 3 years old max at many other retailers) also he admitted they were dangerous. I asked for prompt action as I am a tradesman and my vehicle was deemed unsafe to use. Merityre didn’t want to except responsibility and blamed, firstly their supplier (I was even told to give the supplier a call myself) as their supplier denied supplying them the tires at the first instance.
It was extremely serious and trading standards were involved.
Eventually, their remedy was to fit 2 new cheaper tires (without consulting me) and eventually offer me just £50 compensation for my garage bills and 4 days loss of earnings
I, of course contacted Dene Arnold at head office, where I found his attitude unsatisfactory, as many others have.
I would advise anyone who has purchased tires through this company to double check the manufacture dates and if you are using a vehicle for business, be wary of any redress as the head office may not take the matter seriously.
Grateful for the reassurance given by Johnny and the team at Merityre, Sunbury, with my daughters car exhaust. It is due to the honest, nothing is too much trouble, approach that I don't hesitate to go to them. Recommend without a doubt!
I took my car to have a replacement exhaust, when i gave them the key, the actual key key was folded inside the case, on return if the car and key, the actual key was out, on getting home i discovered they had damaged the key fob, to a point the key part will not retract the holder part was ripped it looks like it was trodden on,, Merit Tyre denied responsibility... nothing unusual.. hence i will not be using them if they cannot even be honest.
Good luck to anyone else using.
I have used the Little Chalfont branch of Merit Tyres for almost 20 years during which time the service has been nothing other than outstanding. Price competitive and informative in the context of routine maintenance and in particular tyre condition. Staff have always been courteous and, most recently yesterday, willing to check tyre pressures at no cost.

Went in at 12 noon for two tyres, ordered through blackcircles.com (who are excellent by the way)
Told them I was urgently needing to collect my son from nursery at 2.30 (which was a little-white-lie - I needed to collect him from school at 3)
...and could I have a 4 wheel alignment as well please?
The teenager fitting my tyres was more interested in his sandwich. At one point I watched him take a bite of his sandwich.... take a slow walk to my car.... and then take a slow walk back to the sandwich, without even touching the car - he didn't know it was my car, and that I was watching from outside while I was on the phone.
It took over two hours to fit two tyres, and my car was on the ramp the whole time
They put it up on the ramp and took the wheels off, so I couldn't go anywhere.... and left it unattended for nearly half an hour
In the end I only JUST made it to the school at 2 minutes past 3 (good job I gave myself a half hour margin, otherwise my 5 year old would have been unattended)
I went without the 4 wheel alignment - no time.... and they said it WASN'T POSSIBLE to change two headlight bulbs... ON AN AUDI !!!
It's not like I drive something from Communist Russia... or China.
I saved money with blackcircles.... and lost over two hours of my life with Merityre
2 hours that I'm never getting back
I had the other 2 tyres changes recently - I used someone else.

I don't know of they've improved, because I haven't been back there since.

Marlow Branch - Richard & co were helpful, friendly & efficient. I had two new tyres fitted & a wheel alignment check - all took less than an hour.
I always go here for new tyres or to have my tyres checked. As a women I never feel intimidated or cheated they are really friendly. i can highly recommend 👍
Merityre Great Bookham . The guy changing my tyre was great but the guy on the desk was a bit abrupt condescending and put my back up. I certainly didn't feel welcome 😂🤣.but as I say the lad who changed my tyre was a lot more friendlier

Visited the Hook depot last week as it is the nearest tyre fitter to home. I had a puncture on a run flat. I usually use Protyre in Bracknell and have done so since 2005. It was a Friday and they appeared busy. The customer service was good considering the 'pressure' they appeared to be under (you could sense it!). I was advised I needed a new tyre and was offered a Bridgestone or Pirelli. I wasn't quoted a price or other tyres (nor did I ask). I should have asked. I think a customer should be quoted before agreeing to work. I waited in the reception area while the work was carried out, pleasant enough, with TV, drinks/snacks and air conditioning. However, the management of incoming calls to reception seemed wanting. Lots of different people milling about but at times the speed of answering the phone was painfully slow. I'm more used to seeing someone permanently on reception duty and quoting and invoicing at the same time. I had asked to be informed of the cause of the puncture and was advised it was a split, possibly caused by deflation, when the job card was brought through. I was not shown the damaged tyre (usually I am shown my damaged/worn tyres). When presented with the invoice it was more expensive than I thought it would be but the job was done professionally under 'emergency' conditions, so I accepted that in the circumstances. My 3 Stars (Average) is attributed, in the main, to 'Value for Money'.
Company appears to be purchasing data and marketing people through the post, this is illegal as well as harvesting such information, i have never used this company, looking at their reviews i would never use them, And they are sending me marketing paraphernalia through the post with my name and address on it, they claim they only send out marketing items to people who use or have used their service such as MOT in the past 2 years, I have NEVER used them so under GDPR rules they are acting illegally and it will be stopped

Went to Merityre Thame after running over a deer and wanted to check the car was safe to drive. The staff kindly put the car on a ramp and inspected. Gave me good advice but didn't force me into unnecessary work. No charge. Good service all round. Thanks.
I went to merityre Hazlemere last week with a puncture and a slow puncture without an appointment as I needed the puncture repairing immediately. The guys attended me immediately and fixed both the tyres (replacing one and repairing the other). They also advised that I would need to change another tyre very soon. The service was good and the price was reasonable. Good service, thank you.
I went for a nail repair (abingdon merityre), and as I am young (18) they tried to make me replace all 4 tyres saying they were in bad conditions although i just had an MOT check 1 week ago. They never repaired my tyre...
I then went to the nearest garage and they repaired it for 20£.

Basingstoke. Had a tyre change today due to a large thorn. I would like to give a better review because the guys were all very friendly and welcoming but...
From arrival I wasn’t instilled with confidence as one asked ‘is the old one in the boot?’.
Putting it on the ramp the drivers door was then banged against the ramp.
On collection I found the locking nut still in the wheel, despite its fluorescent bag being back in with the spare. There was also a big scrape across the wheel and no effort to clean the white paste off.
Nice blokes, but I’d say the youngest who did the job still needs mentoring.
I used them this week to fix my front brakes. Absolutely brilliant and highly professional. I went in Saturday and asked them to check the brakes. They did and informed me I needed new pads and discs on front of the car. They said they would be in Monday and they would call me on Monday morning at 9am. At 9am I got a call and they said come in when you can. When I got there they said it would be one hour and what the price was. One hour later they finished the job. At all times polite, courteous and informative and kept to their word. Well done and thank you.
