Frimley branch (updated).

Ordered two tyres this last Thursday in person, booked in for fitting the following afternoon.l duly arrived only to be told that they were backed up and they weren't likely to be fitted that afternoon. It was then suggested that if I came back for 8.30 this morning (Saturday) they would be fitted promptly.
I was there for 8.15am along with about four other customers, in fairness to the guy behind the counter dealt with us all in a polite and speedy manor. Unfortunately he seemed to be hindered by a chaotic ordering and booking system which left at least one customer with no tyre to fit to his car. My tyres were fitted within 3/4 of an hour which was ok by me given the number of customers but when I got home I noticed that the paint on one of the rims had been badly chip which will require repainting. The fitter would of known this but nothing was said. Not good enough at all, I will not be using Merityre again and will warn other potential customers. The wheel damage issue has now been resolved to my satisfaction with thanks to Dene Arnold at Merityre who handled my complaint in a professional and speedy manner.

Had an appointment a 2pm for 2 tyres

Had an appointment a 2pm for 2 tyres. Couldn’t find my booking and it’s now gone 3.30pm and I’m still waiting. Tyres are being done but a very long wait considering it was pre booked last week. Staff are polite and helpful but not very efficient time wise

BUYER BEWARE

over the internet, I purchased 2 Michelin tyres for my Kia Proceed GT From the Purley branch. I chose merit tyres not on price alone, but because they included a FREE wheel ALIGNMENT CHECK.Overall price was competitive. Initially all ok with tyre fitting. Then a young employee advised me that no wheel alignment could be done because my car was not on their system - he said I had a new model not yet on their system and would need to go to Kia to get the job done. I asked to see the manager. To be fair - he sorted the problem out . The young employee - had got it wrong - as I understood. NEXT the alignment check was carried out and I was advised there were problems - which they could fix - a a price 0f £88 (4 wheels). BUYER BEWARE - FRRE ALIGNMENT CHECK IS JUST THAT A CHECK. i declined the offer and had alignment elsewhere - at a significantly lower price.

I use the Southfields branch and I would just like to thank Scott and the team for all their fine work on my Fiat 500 and Ford Focus, always a offer of basic to better tyres for me to chose and fitted quickly and efficiently. Also I recommend sneaking off to Olly’s cafe for a breakfast bap and cup of tea whilst you wait.

Price changed from £64 a tyre over the…

Price changed from £64 a tyre over the phone to £90 a tyre when I got there, they said they’d misquoted over phone, then wanted to charge me £10 a wheel to remove the locking nuts even though I had the key in the car and I used it many times, they said the key was worn and didn’t want to use it. I ended up with budget tyres, slightly over priced as well. I would never use them again and recommend people use an independent tyre supplier. I was a tyre fitter 30 years ago in a big chain, and looks like the same crap service still exists as our managers did then.

Very happy customer

I use Merit Tyre in Chertsey. Puncture in front wheel. At my last service main dealer told me that two front tyres would need replacing shortly. Checked with Merit who said there was no issue with the tyres and sorted out my puncture. They are what I want from a company - friendly. professional and honest!

Merityre - Woking, St. Johns

I got a flat tyre and was on the back of a recovery vehicle. I rang ahead at a few garages to see if they could fit me in on the day to get a new tyre and Merityre was the only garage that were welcoming and told me to just come down and they will get it sorted.
Garage and staff are well presented and put a new tyre on within the hour. Very happy customer and well come back again for further services and work on my car. Thank you very much.

Great service at Hook

A warning light was showing in my car that the tyre pressure was low so I popped in to the Hook branch on the off-chance that someone could take a look. The member of staff I spoke to was polite and efficient, he checked my tyres straight away, gave me some advice and charged nothing. I will definitely be back when I need to order new tyres.

Merityre Purlrey On Thames.

Merityre Purley On Thames.
These guys go Above and Beyond.
I have been going here for the last couple of years. Staff are always courteous, polite and know their stuff.
I had some issues with Tracking/ Alignment/ Balancing, on my VW campervan, and I told by the Manager to take the vehicle back for further works and they charged me minimal amount with the forefront of getting the job done and ensuring I was happy with the end result.
Thanks again, and I'll be back for more tyres when I need them.

First class service!

I’ve been using Merityre for several years now, taking both our cars to be re-shod on a regular basis.
I’m unsure about the manager, who it seems can never be bothered to smile, however, the forecourt team at Purley on Thames are exceptionally customer service orientated, especially ’Dave’, and the young lady who replaced a faulty valve. Friendly, professional and efficient!

Merityre Wandsworth are the best!

Excellent, excellent, excellent! They replaced my tyre valve within a few minutes and were very polite and courteous throughout. I highly recommend them, and am now going to be a regular customer :-)

Nearly 2 hours to fit 2 tyres..

Nearly 2 hours to fit 2 tyres... Staff seemed to be more focused on smoking cigarettes. Will NOT be coming here again - disappointing, slow service & poor staff attitude.

Farnham Merityre - top local customer service

Amazing service. I rang Merityre when my wheel locking nut had issues - they advised a specialist whom i then used. When i subsequently needed a part for the wheel - from ringing Merityre to them ordering over the phone and then them calling me and fitting it...1 hour! That is local service for you.

No room at the tyre centre

I am sure, reading the reviews, that Merityre is a fine and well run company, with customer satisfaction as part of their company ethos. However, it is because I am sure they have customer satisfaction at their hearts that I report the following in the hope that remedial action is taken.

On friday last (Yes, the 13th!) I suffered a burst tyre passing over a pothole on Petersfield Causeway. half a mile away, at the bottom of the causeway is a Merityre outlet. I gratefully limped on to their forecourt at twenty past five, it was dark, wet and miserable. Entering into the
shop area I was met by a very pleasant, well mannered young man, who listened to my tale of woe. Merityre Petersfield closes at 6 o' clock. The young man informed me that they had two to do but that somehow he would get me done, this, considering that I had not of course been in a position to arrange an appointment, was very welcome news. At this point the duty manager entered and ascertained what was going on, took over from the lad and priced up my tire (£20 over the top but that is another story). He then instructed me to be on the forecourt at 8:30 the following morning! I pointed out that my car was on the forecourt, with a badly shredded front tyre. No matter, he was not going to let it be done and that was that. I avoid confrontation and was forced to limp home (another mile, on 3 tyres and a rim. Fortunately, inspection reveals no damage to the rim. So, to the lad who tried to help me and in the true spirit of customer service. my genuine thanks, you tried to do the right thing. To the "Jobsworth duty manager" In my humble opinion, you have much to learn, lets just say that a similar thing happened, at this time of year to Mary and Joseph - "No room at the Inn".

Pretty pleased with my visit today. Battery checked OK but getting near the end of its life. New batt fitted after an extensive wait (which I had hoped to avoid).
Apparently I was 'in a queue'. So 1star knocked off for indifferent customer communication; otherwise I would recommend -decent pricing too.
