I’m disappointed with this company

I’m disappointed with this company. My dress shipped on September 20th, which was at least 15 business days ago, and I still haven’t received it. I ordered it specifically for a wedding tonight. And the tracking number they sent me doesn’t say anything about where the package is or when it will arrive. Don’t order from this company.

Disappointment

I've read the reviews prior braving myself to place an order... It's the worse decision I've ever made. Should have trusted my gut feeling & acknowledged other reviews of the poor quality of the products & communication. I was keen to receive my order but stunned with disappointment of the poor quality & fit. The company did not respond to my message of wanting to refund the parcel. I'm stuck with 2 expensive dresses. Warning to all who wants to order from metisu.... DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY

Like the American president this Chinese company is all gimmicks and cheap, superficial appearances... if you want authentic, quality clothing that doesn’t pander to idiots online... go to a real store where you know the labor isn’t forced for pennies at factories across the world.

Yellow Leaf Pattern Lace dress- poor quality

I bought the Yellow Leaf Pattern Lace Overlay Maxi Dress from Metisu. I did not realize it was from China, and it took almost 1 month to get my order. The dress is 52.00, I bought a small. Although the fit of the dress was very nice, the dress is totally see through. It is made with very cheap fabric underneath, as well as the actual lace. The arm lace had a defective flaw in it and the lace itself had this weird silver sheen to it. Because of the silver sheen when I tried it on, I felt like I was wearing a princess costume like Belle, from beauty and the beast. Because of the poor return policy, it made no sense to return it, to only get a small portion of my money back, so the company can then again profit off it and sell it. I just donated it. I will never buy from them again. It's a shame the concept of the dress was awesome and the pictures of all the dresses on their site were beautiful. It seemed like a great value, but the old adage you get what you paid for was true, execpt in this situation the quality of the dress should've been priced at $15-25 not $52. Quality of the Dresses are not as they appear in pictures.

Bad product and bad service

Bad product and bad service.
Bought a green dress and it came pretty quick. The material was not as expected and look bad on. So emailed to get a refund, which took a lot of emails going back and forward (a bit of a struggle). In the end got my refund accepted so sent it back (cost me over £15 via Royal Mail). It had been nearly two months and hadn't heard back so emailed them. They said the warehouse had received it and my refund would be in my account within the week, it's been about 6 weeks and I've received nothing. £40/50 down the drain.

Top Notch

I bought a dark blue, off the shoulder ball gown for a wedding in which I am a groomswoman and a pair of dress pants. I hadn't seen any updates from shipping for a month and was starting to sweat about not getting my items in time (as they are coming from China) so I contacted them. Immediately they sent another package with the same items to ensure I received the dress in time. I received them quite quickly and with time to spare! The original package is MIA....
I have also received a dark blue dress from them for a birthday last year...and it is awesome!
The quality for all 3 items is quite remarkable and worth every penny!!! I will definitely be buying from them in the future! <3

Delayed shipping, poor quality, impossible return service, no refund received

I ordered one item online which took nearly 3 months to arrive. The item was not worth the price, & due to the event it was needed for being missed, the item was returned to the address as stated on the website returns section. This is a different address to the contact information on their website- be aware. This was posted at my own cost, & Proof of postage was sent to metisu, however 3 months on they are still claiming they have not received the item and have no intention of providing a refund. They also claimed the town on the proof of postage was incorrect/missing, but the section they pointed to is the section that the post office teller manually enters a reference on the proof of postage receipt, and is not the address. So clutching at straws to make this my fault. Absolutely terrible. Steer well clear!

Do not trust Metisu, especially on clearance items

I am not new to Metisu but only saw the real face of the company upon purchasing a clearance item. After analysing several other reviews with pictures from people who bought items on sale, I know I am not the only one caught in this.
First of all, the item is completely off size! If it were my first purchase, I wouldn't even know and would have blamed myself for very poor judgment and calculations. But I have other items from them (bought full price) and the fit is like day and night. I have compared dress measurements and their size table and it really doesn't match. Way way way too small, I cannot even get into the dress! I bought size L and it is labelled as L BUT in reality it is more like an S as per measurements and it is not a stretchy one so a very important defect. So my guess is that it is a faulty item, no wonder a left over.
Naturally, I did contact customer service, they replied, but obviously blamed it on me that I probably didn't choose the right size and that all styles are different. Yeah, right, I am not new to their sizing and I have eyes so it is not even close to the pictures on the website: Metisu's original pictures or to the ones that people post themselves in reviews. I tried to explain to them that it is clearly a faulty dress in numerous back and forth emails until I just got tired and accepted defeat. To make matters worse, one other sale item that I purchased did not arrive. When inquired, they told me it became out of stock after I purchased it. They did charge me for it though and when contacted pushed me to change for some other item. I refused and fought hard for a refund which I got in the end.
However, the main trick is that they do not accept returns on clearance items. Fair enough, you can see this in many other places. But it is not a normal practice to sell items with major faults and errors in sizing, these should have been written off and not at the expense of a (once returning) customer. Funny fact that you no longer can leave a review for clearance item on the website!
People, stay away from them. Foremost from clearance items for sure! The risk is not worth it!

Stay Away - poor quality, unreliable sizing, impossible return experience. Learn from my terrible experience!

UPDATED BELOW I saw two beautiful dresses on Metisu, and ordered them online going with a larger size than I would normally order based on their dimension guides. The dresses arrived and were not at all as pictured. They did not fit (i.e. were not the proper dimensions) and were also not the same cut of dress as the ones represented. When I contacted customer service they emphasized that the dress description listed them as "high waisted" even though the pictures on their own website were not of dresses that were high waisted, and therefore they would only issue a refund if I returned the items, which I was happy to do. HOWEVER, they do not cover the cost of return and they presented me with ridiculous return instructions to a place that two USPS representatives told me was probably undeliverable, but I followed all of Metisu's instructions (spending additional money beyond the order that needed to be refunded), and never heard from them again. Yes, you will get a dress from them - but it will be of poor quality, and not necessarily what you expect... and if you want to return them for a refund, you will basically be set up to fail (at least from the US). I should have just donated them and not spent the additional funds on returning them. When the images and descriptions on their own website don't match that should definitely raise a red flag. Their customer service representatives did reply to me, but it was one lame excuse after another, no resolution, accusatory in tone, and ultimately totally ineffective. Learn from my mistakes (and the $133 dollars and 2 months I've wasted on this) - Stay Away!
UPDATE: Upon posting the above review, I was contacted to be told that my return had indeed arrived, and I received a refund of $91 (original purchase less original shipping fee). I was asked to update or delete this review. I am updating it to be fair to the company, but I have little doubt that I was only contacted and only refunded because I posted this review and therefore cannot recommend them to others in good faith. If you decide to shop with them, I can only hope that your experience is better than mine!

I have learned from this don't buy from China…

I purchased a dress on line for a wedding. I had no idea this company was located in China. The dress size ordered was XL, when it arrived it was marked XXL, but it appeared to be very small. The bust measured just 34 inches and the waist was about 5 inches too high. I returned the item costing me more money. The company acknowledged receipt and claimed the size was correct. Since when has a 34 inch bust been XXL? A partial refund was made not a total refund. A bad experience, out of pocket, will never buy from China again. Unable to leave feedback for a returned item! The quality looked good, but no good if the size is not compatible.

Stay away, from Metisu, poor quality, nothing like the pictures

I ordered a dress and a coat from Metisu using the measurements given on the website. When they arrived, they were too small and very badly executed. They looked nothing like the photos on the website. When I contacted them, they said to send photos to prove this. When I said I wanted to return the items, they initially persuaded me to keep them and get a discount. When I declined, they gave me an address which I used. It cost me £17 to return the product but it was worth it for the £78 I had paid. However after weeks of them saying they hadn’t received the package, I finally received the package in the post. Fortunately I had put a return address and the post man just said the package was returned but didn’t know why. In short, I still have the items but I’ve wasted a further £17 trying to return them.

Customer service is a work in progress

My dress was delivered to the wrong house. When I advised them that I hadn’t received it they kept saying that the delivery company kept saying it was delivered so they wouldn’t do anything about it until I got some papers from the delivery company showing it was not delivered to me. I then obtained the paperwork proving my package was delivered elsewhere and they STILL refused to either refund me or reship the dress to the correct address. Instead they said I should ask the delivery company for my money back. I told metisu that I don’t have a contractual relationship with the delivery company but I do have one with metisu and I expect them to either refund or reship and they are still refusing to do so.

Update: I filed a paypal complaint documenting that this package was not delivered to my address. Now Metisu says they will replace the dress. If they do reship it to me I will update this review to note such. However, at this time, I still do not have the dress.

2nd Update: Metisu has apologized, sent me a shipping confirmation for a replacement dress, and advised me that they will use this experience as an opportunity to improve their team’s customer service training. It may not have begun as a very positive experience but I do appreciate that they are trying to improve and acknowledge when they have erred. I’ll probably give them a second chance.

3rd Update: I received my replacement dress in the mail today, and it is beautiful.

Customer service

I ordered several dresses for an event, but then found alternatives in a local store. I contacted Metisu customer service asking for refund and cancellation of my order and they were so helpful. They responded within 24 hours and gave me a full refund and 20% discount code for next time. I will definitely order again and am surprised by some of the negative reviews.

Don't buy from China

I bought a dress that didn't quite fit. I returned it, but found out that you have to return it to China. I paid $25 to ship it because I would at least get $20 back, but I never received a refund.
