Superb service.

Phoned them for a non standard order. Spoke to Joe. He sorted it out quickly despite the fact it was non standard and needed special order and manufacture. Plus he asked about my deadline and delivered for me in record time.

Definitely recommend - flexible and personal service and quality product

I would highly recommend this company. The quality of the goods I ordered (dado rail) is excellent and the order was carefully and robustly packaged for delivery.
There was a difficulty with the timing of the delivery - I stress - not the fault of Metres Direct, but of the couriers. However, the excellent, good humoured and friendly communication by Sales Manager, Joseph, removed the stress from this. The man is a star. I wish customer relations were as good as this in all companies I deal with.

UPDATE: I have now been contacted by Meters direct and am expecting delivery today. Seems they have been extra busy & not able to keep on top of emails to communicate with customers. They have apologies for this, so I hope it doesnt happen to other customers.

I ordered some skirting, window sills etc on 27th April, a month later I haven't received anything, no replies to emails no replies to voice messages.

Fantastic quality product with amazing service even in these really difficult times. Amazed how their team managed to get exactly what we needed when we needed it despite the pressures of COVID19 restrictions! So pleased with our oak!

Great service - although they produce a very standard product, they're super-flexible and really help with any queries. I underordered by one metre on one profile and they really helped sort it :) Great company!!!

The first thing that attracted me to Metres Direct was the range of products that they had. The order process was fairly straightforward, although I did call them to check I was ordering the correct quantities - all of which was handled well.

I ordered just over 15 metres of ogee skirting board in MDF with a primed finish. The boards arrived on the stated day and the delivery company called me prior to delivery. The boards were as expected and the primed finish was a good time saver and worth the money spent.

The new boards look fantastic and I couldn't be happier with the service and quality of products from Metres Direct.

Excellent customer service and products. Joe in sales went out of his way to make sure I got my bullnose window boards in time for our fitter.

Absolute shambles!

Their website and order process are nice, easy to use, and with great options... the rest is terrible.

I ordered 15m of MDF skirting (with a very simple profile), with matching architraves for 3 doors - all primed and painted - totalling around £280. Their website page, and the order summary page clearly states it will be between 3-6 days which is no problem - after all paint takes time to dry.

After the order I didn't heard from them for 6 days until I called them on the 7th day. Whoever picked up the phone simply said "hello". No introduction that you had reached Metres Direct, or anything else. I enquired about my order and he said it was going for cutting today - which is strange as I would have thought they cut the wood first and then paint it before shipping - and the product will be out to me on Wednesday.

I explained that Wednesday was no good, and could they instead ship it Thursday or Friday. On Thursday I get an email saying the order is with Tuffnells and to expect it tomorrow. Nothing ever arrived, I called Tuffnells who said they couldn't find any delivery against my name or address but do I have the consignment number. The last email I got from Metres Direct did not provide a consignment number when they said they had shipped my order.

Raised a complaint with Paypal as was not happy. Metres Direct said they had shipped it Thursday and will contact Tuffnells to see where it is. Had enough and asked for a refund which they provided with no further comment. Which honestly, while I was asking for a refund I find it incredibly strange that they refunded a custom product which they said was with a delivery company and should be on its way to me.

Metres Direct, some pointers:

- Keep your customers updated with the status of their orders
- Train your staff how to answer the phone
- Manage expectations about delivery times.
