Don't get me wrong the food was nice, maybe overpriced for what it was but I had ordered a kit that contained a margarita glass. The glass arrived broken. I emailed immediately and was told another would be sent later in the week. Now they've shut up shop, changed the name to 'The cuisine co.' And om sending another email to ask if they were honouring the replacement as it had been a week and I'd heard nothing I got an automated reply saying closed indefinitely, all orders have been fulfilled. So I'm not impressed.

Great food, quality ingredients

The lamb birria taco platter was amazing! it came with everything that you needed and took all the hassle out of making tacos. The instructions were very clear and easy to follow.

The flavours were amazing, it gave an authentic Mexican taco experience! Then tasty churros to finish off.

Highly recommend!!

Tried mexi-kit for the first time as a valentines meal treat. Honestly the food was better than any Mexican restaurant I have been too. Much fresher, tastier, more authentic, easy to cook and prepare and just delicious. I am so happy with the taste and quality of the food and I am already thinking about what to order next! Beautiful food.

The food was so delicious! Instructions could be a little clearer but I’m not a cook. My husband seemed to understand them fine.

They aren’t a cheap meal BUT a takeaway in Surrey is £50 for 2 people. So actually to not have a rubbish/average takeaway and plan to have this instead I would 100% do it all again!

Ordered from the new menu and I was not disappointed. Now usually I’d go for something with heat however I thought it fair to choose something that I wouldn’t normally consider. Ragas con crema quesadilla.
The great thing about the Ragas con crema is that it’s a gateway for people that want to join in but are worried it would be spicy. On its own a pleasant creamy mixture. However when you order from Mexi-kit you always get a selection of dips which are some of the best I’ve tasted. Happy to say that the ingredients are just enough. No food wasted.
Of course the elotes are my chosen side and they are the best!!!!!
I’m so full that the churros will just have to wait.
Part of the new menu means a couple of freebies. Now I’m a massive fan of jarritos drink but I couldn’t refuse a couple of bottles of spicy sauce.

Now I know some folk will mention price, and yes the kits are at a higher price point. However you’re paying for a quality premium product. I’m sure if Dan could make them cheaper he would. Having said that - drop me a message and I’ll give you my £10 voucher.

Great food and a real treat to have at home - we had the Beef Taco kit which was amazing and a good portion size.

Not worth it at all! Extremely disappointed. Ordered the Quesadilla kit, the beef was horribly tasting and dry. We also ordered 2x packs of Churros, the instructions say to separate the sugar, but the sugar was already all over the churros, we heated them for the time suggested, the sugar then burnt, so tasted awful. Really packaged slapdash, one Churros in a vacuum packed bag, the other loose in a similar bag with a hole in it.
Overall the taste was really disappointing and quite disgusting.
Cannot recommend enough to steer clear.

I love Mexican food and supporting small businesses. This an honest review, I was so disappointed, I am sure that this in not what normally happens but it happened to me and this is how it was dealt with.
I purchased the QUEDABIRRIA kit, double portion x2 for delivery on Friday, needless to say my whole family was super excited about our weekend treat!

When my kit arrived it had NO tortillas or CHEESE. I contacted Dan by email, what I am supposed to do with just meat? but after saying “I am not sure what happened there” suggested that I went out to the supermarket and purchase flour tortillas and mozzarella cheese!

As I said to Dan if wanted to eat that or go out on a Friday night to the shops I wouldn’t have ordered from you, the appeal for us apart form the birria was the authentic Mexican corn tortillas as advertised in his website.

Dan offered £25 to spend back into his business I paid nearly £80 for my order. I declined the offer, Dan offered to refund for the items I didn’t get, I.e the cheese and tortillas, he didn’t say how much or when the refund will be made.

My order was placed the 15th of January for delivery on the 20th, asked for the refund on the 20th, never heard again.

I contacted Dan this Wednesday asking for an update on the refund, he replied saying is on it way an it will take 5 to 10 days.

Today is the 28th, 10 working days since I first place the order and 14 calendar days! Still not even sure how much is he refunded. And to be honest and I don’t care anymore Dan can keep the money, it’s not worth my time or energy anymore.

Something that was also quite unprofessional was that the packs of the food where not labelled (the salsas where) so I didn’t know what was what. Dan responded saying they are in the process of changing the menu and forgot to label things.

I also order churros with Biscoff and milk chocolate sauces for dipping. Again, the pots where not labelled but it wasn’t milk chocolate, it was white chocolate maybe? Cannot tell….

The website says you will get onions, coriander and Mexican lollipop, the least of my worries, but just to note none of those things where there either.

We order 4 jarritos that did arrived and where not broken. Thankfully.

A small note on the how to prepare cards: they are not very clear, maybe look into help with translation and grammar. So it reads better and is more professional.

So sad this was my experience with Mex-Kit.

Excellent food really tasty. Sharing everything in the middle of the table gave a lovely relaxed eating experience, fun too Also very good customer service from Dan he found easy vegetarian recipes for me to cook for my daughter in law so she could have the full experience as she doesn’t like jackfruit which was the vegan option and great news for vegetarians he told me they are bringing out vegetarian options in February I am already deciding what to order next. Oh I nearly forgot- I don’t really like desserts but those churros- gorgeous.

This is honestly one of the best meals I have ever made at home, it was incredibly simple and the food was soo good.

The food was fresh and clean tasting and very delicious. Easy to pull together and all the salsas were unique and very tasty. This made for an excellent new year's eve meal treat

Our third box and they are always fabulous. Have recommended to so many friends and family members.

We got the taco meal with chicken, beef and pork. Chicken was the only one with much flavor. The salsa's were pretty good though.
Also, we got the meal on the last day of the good by date. So we threw it in the freezer for a few days. These were vacuum packed which was a bit surprising.

Overall not worth the money.

I ordered 2 of the taco platters for a Christmas eve family meal. The boxes were delivered on the Friday. On checking the beef and churros were missing. I contacted the company via the online form. Less than an hour later I received an email from the company apologising for the missing items and was told they would get them sent out to me to be delivered Saturday. A short while later I received an email from DPD saying they were expecting my parcel and another email from customer services saying the items were on the way and they had put a couple of extras in as an apology. Box arrived the next day with everything needed. Made the tacos tonight and they really were delicious. Everyone enjoyed them, even the mother in law who doesn't do 'weird food', the pineapple habanero sauce tasted amazing but is VERY hot. The tacos were soon gone and everyone had enjoyed a delicious meal. Definitely worth the price and we will definitely be ordering again.

The kit is complete, no need to add your own ingredients everything you need is included. The directions are easy to follow and the end result is delicious. I have travelled to Mexico on several occasions and lived in Texas for many years and this is the real deal! One caveat, it does take quite a lot of work to assemble especially the beef birria tacos but it means you eat family style, cooking as you go. I would suggest the salsas and sauces come in different amounts of heat, I found the pineapple habanera to be too hot but so tasty, whereas other family members love the heat.

We got the Birria tacos and they were absolutely delicious!! Will definitely be ordering again!!

Wonderful food, easy to make and really tasty! Such a treat.

I ordered the beef birra quesadilla kit but we ended up eating them as soft tacos, which worked perfectly. The order contained plenty of tasty and fresh ingredients! I was a bit concerned that the meat may be fatty but it wasn’t and tasted good quality.

The salsas were so amazing! Quite spicy but very addictive.

Highly recommend and look forward to trying other products from Mexi-Kit.

We really enjoyed our order; the beef was cooked beautifully, the dips were amazing and lovely fresh tortillas. Everything arrived well packaged, generous portions and instructions were easy to follow. We have already placed a large order for New Years Eve celebrations.
