I call this Recruitment Agencies looking for jobs and the person answered the phone was very rude and very disrespectful women!!

Reply from Michael Page UK
At least three times I reached out and applied for roles my skillset and background aligned with. Radio silence. The one time a recruiter did get back to me, discounted me for the flimsiest of excuses despite, again, having all the skills being asked for.

Absolutely terrible agency. Once a week Michael Page will post a fake job vacancy, these are spotted easily - high pay and vague description. After applying you'll soon find out that for some mysterious reasons that position is not available. MP uses these fake vacancies to gather applicant information and harass you with irrelevant offers. No ethical ground.

Definitely some sort of scam!
I completed a “screening” with a guy called Samuel who was so cheerful on the phone, told me my answers to his questions were great and found out I was through to the second stage interview literally minutes after we had finished🚩. Basically lead me on to believe if they put me forward to this mysterious leading finance company (which they would not tell me the name of)🚩 I would get the job.
However, in order for them to guarantee me getting the job I had to have this certain course on my CV🚩, HE gave me a website to search up and told me to buy the course which was over £500!🚩
When I told him I would not be purchasing and to put me forward without it, I never heard from them again.🚩
I don’t know what kind of operation they are running but it’s not a good one.

I was contacted by a recruiter for a position I was told was "ideal for me". An interview was arranged and completed with everything looking great. References obtained. Then nothing, totally ghosted. No response to my interview (still don't know where I got the position or not) emails and telephone calls ignored by the recruiter. Absolutely shocked at how fast I went from hero to zero with not one single word of explanation or feedback.

I got ghosted by two Michael Page recruiters, they came promising the stars and moon, enthusiastic about my CV, one of them went as far as scheduling a teams call with me only to cancel 2 minutes before the meeting started, whilst I was in the teams lobby, then sent an email asking me for dates so we can rearrange this call, so I sent the dates, because urgent meetings can happen. I never heard from either recruiter.
Glad I found this forum, I find comfort in knowing am not at fault.

Joe Whyms and Leighton are a pleasure to deal with, and they are supporting me to find a new role. I have always loved to deal with them, but hope to find a role in this awful market soon.
Just a really poor candidate experience. Calls and applications going unanswered, agents telling me they were 'very busy' with month end and didn't have time to talk, general unprofessional and generally uninterested comms. Failure to provide post interview feedback. Even stranger because as a senior HR professional I would have thought that they might be thinking ahead to my hiring plans for the future, but apparently not.

Unprofessional recruiters. They promise you to send a job spec, but they never do. They ask you questions and then disappear. Not worth wasting your time.

I am writing to provide my enthusiastic feedback for Beth Fitzgerald, a recruiter at Michael Page. Beth's exceptional talent and expertise have been truly remarkable in my recent job search journey.
Beth possesses an in-depth knowledge of the role, industry, and market trends, which has been invaluable in aligning my career goals with the right opportunities. Her engaging and supportive approach made me feel genuinely understood and valued. Beth has an extraordinary ability to grasp the nuances of my interests and position, allowing her to offer tailored advice and guidance that is spot-on.
Furthermore, Beth's talent for making change happen quickly and effectively sets her apart. She demonstrated remarkable efficiency and dedication, ensuring that every step of the process was smooth and seamless.
What truly distinguishes Beth is her ability to connect on a deeper level than any other recruiter I've encountered. Her energy and passion for delivering results are contagious, and she consistently goes above and beyond to support and advocate for her candidates.
In summary, Beth Fitzgerald is an outstanding recruiter with a unique blend of expertise, empathy, and determination. I am deeply grateful for her unwavering commitment and exceptional service.
Sincerely, Rhiannon Lloyd
Regan at the Michael Page Liverpool office was fantastic, they had a job that matched my CV, emailed me to discuss and arranged and interview swiftly and professionally.
Kept up to date regularly with the progress of the application.
She was friendly, enthusiastic, professional and polite, highly recommend this company for recruitment.
I received a phone call from Lindsay MacLeod from Michael Page Recruitment regarding a potential new role which I was very interested in. She was very enthusiastic about my potential for this role.
Lindsay advised she also has a few other roles that may be suitable to my experience. This got my hopes up as I thought I would have potential interviews for said roles. I never heard from Lindsay again after this initial call.
Multiple emails, and phone calls spent trying to get in touch with Lindsay were left unanswered.
This is very poor and unprofessional for someone with hopes of securing a new role. I feel she has being very misleading.
I would advise anyone to avoid using this recruitment agency and Lindsay in particular.
Based on the online reviews this is a very common theme for Michael Page recruitment agency.

I’ve used Michael Page to recruit for jobs and they are very attentive and helpful, although the quality of candidates they put forward aren’t always the best.
That changed when I decided to look for a new role myself. Despite contacting the people I knew to be contacts for me (due to their role in my recruitment), they never replied to my request, I’ve applied for jobs they’ve advertised and never heard anything. In the end, I went with another recruiter who couldn’t have been more helpful and supportive.
This isn’t the first time I’ve found them unhelpful. In the past, I’d had an initial conversation with somebody on the back of a recommendation. He said he would be in touch with some opportunities and I never heard a thing back, even when I chased. I will never use them again for recruiting or personal recruitment support.

My experience concurs with the other negative reviews for the Michael Page agency on Trustpilot. If you are waiting to hear back from their recruiters for their advertised roles that start ASAP, you will be disappointed. There is no attempt to reply to candidates via email, telephone or their initial applications. In effect, candidates are 'ghosted'. Very unprofessional behviour.

Received a message early one Sunday morning via LinkedIn from a Victoria Natillio. The job role was nothing in respect of my professional qualifications. She had obviously taken no time to check. When I pointed out the error. She replied “oh Douglas having a bad day”. Rude obviously and unprofessional. She then blocked me to prevent a reply. So I hope her employer reads this to understand how certain headhunters work behind the scenes
I registered with them months ago, hoping they would help me find a new role. Initially, they seemed enthusiastic and promised to match me with suitable opportunities. after the initial consultation, I heard nothing back. I tried contacting my consultant several times, but they were always unavailable or in a meeting. I felt like they were just stringing me along

I was called on Thursday morning by one of the MP team. Firstly i don't know how they got my number i've never worked with them. Secondly, the woman who called me hadn't even bothered to look at my linkedin to see where i worked or what i did which was immediately off putting. How are you calling someone to ask if they're looking for work if you haven't done basic research? Secondly to then start asking if I wanted to use you guys for recruit and not listen to me telling you all of my companies recruitment goes through HR was really frustrating and again super off putting. Just doing basic research on who you're calling legitimises your ability otherwise you come across like any other recruitment company who just fling applicants at roles without any actual consideration or thought.
I'm sure i'm not alone in expecting a recruiter to have actually looked up who they're calling before calling them, that's what linkedin is for.

Applied for a role, but never heard back. Felt like my application went into a black hole!
I have had over 20 emails from your company in the last 24 hours (I would attached a screen shot but there is no option to) I am blocking them but they keep coming. This needs to stop. I don't know who you use to chuck out your marketing emails but can you please contact them and get the to remove my email address with immediate effect!

While Michael Page UK like to give off the appearance of a professional outfit, they are anything but. Job hunting is a time consuming process. It's really disappointing when recruiters knowingly mislead candidates (by phoning them and asking them to update, tailor and submit CVs for live roles) when they have *no intention* of submitting them or follow through. Their direct competitors are far more courteous and professional - and see results, get the rates requested and don't waste people's time.
