Contacted by recruiter, called me multiple times, arranged an interview which I attended at the time they told me and thought the interview went really well to then be left completely in the dark, sent them an email, completely ignored, sent a follow up email which was also ignored, sent a text message which was as well, ignored. It’s now been 2 weeks of being ghosted which I think is completely unfair and really poor practice.

Useless consultant, phoned me with perfect job, promised me an immediate interview and then ghosted me.
A complete waste of space.

The recruiter KNEW the trouble I'd had been having in this tough market.
Turned out, he also KNEW the client had a preferred candidate, and when I tried to withdraw (sensing lack of client enthusiasm), he talked in into keeping my ring in the hat.
As it happens, despite everything I've been going through, his sole focus was keeping a backup in case the preferred candidate didn't sign the contract.
In the "no thanks" call, which lasted just 3 minutes, he told me he was "glad to get this one off his desk" - well thank you, sorry that it was such a hassle and inconvenience for you. Don't give a second to consider the impact of being kept warm in the background... as long as it's not a burden to you.

Samantha Hughes was really helpful ,she gave me a call to discuss my CV and which type of job I am looking for .she secured me a 12 months contract .she kept in contact with me during working within the transition period .
Ghosted after a week. Tried to contact them on Whatsapp, Email, SMS and phone call with no success. Very unprofessional.

Definitely trust the bad reviews. Been dealing with MP for years when it comes to looking for employment and have NEVER spoken with anyone. Generic emails are sent, you register and no one calls you for an introductory call. Job post are put up and when you apply, its sent into a black hole.
While I understand that there is a high volume of applicants, it feels discouraging to receive only generic replies or none at all. Despite sending emails and making calls, I’ve not received any personalized feedback or updates on applications. Rubbish.

I was contacted by a recruiter at Michael Page in regards to a specific role he thought was suitable for me as I had previously worked in the same sector. He asked me to forward my CV to him so he could arrange for an inter I with the company he was recruiting for. I subsequently forwarded my CV as per his request. I was contacted a few days later and the recruiter explained that the company wanted to set up an interview with me the following week, which I agreed to. I subsequently interviewed with the company in question and was advised that they were interested in progressing me to the next stage of the interview process which would consist of a in person visit to one of the employers office sites. The recruiter called me shortly after my interview with the company and explained that they were impressed with me and that they wanted to progress me to the next stage. The recruiter told me to leave things with him as he would organize the next steps and that he would be in touch the following week. One week past without hearing back from the recruiter so I proceeded to call him back to understand what was happening with the role, I felt I had taken my time to prepare for the interview and wanted to understand what was happening. The recruiter did answer my call and informed me that he was “chasing” the client (the company I interviewed with) and that he would get back to me asap. I have not heard back from the recruiter or the company I interviewed with. It’s worth noting that Michael Page reached out to me in regards to the role and not me to them. To call this recruitment agency unprofessional would be flattering at best! I would expect a response with an outcome of my interview considering I took the time to interview in the first place. Michael Page is by far the most unprofessional company I’ve come across and would advice anyone to avoid at all costs! Do NOT waste your time for an absolutely pointless exercise!

I was contacted out of the blue by this company. I didn't even apply for or am I even looking for a job as.i already have one. I don't know ow how they have my mobile number! They didn't even say who they were in the first message, just "Hi are you free for a chat?" I had no idea who they were. She was just trying to get my details from me. SCAM!!!! Stay well clear off this company

Completely unprofessional, do not waste your time with this company. They just want to collect your details.

Very unprofessional organisation. Was happy to receive contact from them initially, but the agent was very, very full of himself, condescending, belittling, almost to the point of mocking me. He suggested that because of my age I should be able to take his "direct" (abusive) approach. He asked me to tailor and add some text to my CV so that he could progress with potential applications. I spent the weekend making the changes suggested and having them reviewed by friends. I send them them over, but received no reply. Chased politely a few days later, but completely ghosted. As an employer I would NOT want Michael Page representing my organisation.

I contacted Michel age multiple times to get information about my application. No one knows anything. The Person listed below doesn't answer his goddamn phone. Please stop wasting you time with this agency.

This company has been posting one job for months which doesn't exist. As TP doesn't allow links, I can't put it here.
Out of curiosity, I called the recruitment advisor several times over April & May. I never saw that working.
Awful recruiter that I suspect has ghost listings to harvest CV's and personal information. I've seen the same job listed multiple times over the last 6 months, applied every time, called the name on the listing and every single time it's gone to voicemail, left a message with my phone number for them to reply and nothing. If you see a role advertised with them I genuinely wouldn't bother, you'll never get a response and it seems likely the job never existed in the first place.

Have been waiting for an update on my interview for over 3 weeks now. I call them and text them but absolutely no response whatsoever. Would not be interested in using their services in the future.

I have been trying to get a job with their help (not only) for months but no luck. Also they don't have the courtesy to inform me when my application was unsuccessful.

The worst recruitment agency. They “placed” me with an employer over 2 years ago, terms agreed never met. When it came to me passing probation, where was the agent with his fake promises.
Later every 6 months random people from MP contact me with regards to potential job roles. Several times I was just questioned all my personal and working experience, followed by complete silence, no updates, nothing. Another time I was approached my Matt, who wanted me to interview with an Italian brand, the interviews went wild - random questions, strange approach to employment, shady employer and the list goes on.
Yesterday someone called Harry approached me again with a “friendly chat” and wanted to set up a video call: no chance; thanks. No job description just another time waster. Avoid at all costs, whatever they say is a lie.

Reply from Michael Page UK
Didn't have the courtesy to phone and tell me I had been unsuccessful. Received a short email with very little feedback.
The successful candidate doesn't appear to have lasted very long in the position as the same company has readvertised the same position so maybe I dodged a bullet.
The behaviour of this agency however was not professional. All other agents I have dealt with have called.
Would not recommend.

Upfront I would give 0 star
It is once again unbelievable and outrageous how to deal with people who are looking for a new job in such a difficult economical times.Absolute no answers at any time from anyone, there is no option to get in contact with any recruiter via email or phone. The phone numbers do not work (please check the number) or the answering machine is running in a loop. The whole thing has a touch of an unserious business not trustworthy and fake. It's a shame that those companies are on the market. But we are all standing in line and at some point everyone will get caught or the market will be cleaned up.

Time wasters. Too much talk and pointless calls. Recruiters don’t follow up or come back to you with feedback. If they suggest a job to you that you don’t think sounds right for you, they’ll drop their interest in you.
At the end of the day they are clearly more interested in the hiring commission they receive from the employers themselves and finding them as many job seekers as possible to hedge their bets that they get their money rather than working with the candidate to find them the right job.
Don't bother trusting them. If they approach you about a job, get the information (most importantly salary) and apply to the job directly, cut out the middle-man and save yourself some time.
