Deliberately abominable customer service procedures.

Customer Service call options designed to prevent any contact with a human being. All concerns are directed to one of Microsoft's tech support pages which, more often than not, are useless at dealing with all but the most basic and commonplace problems. Called in order to resolve an evident fault with their account recovery system which prevented me from accessing my account. Not only was the problem not resolved, Microsoft customer service seemed designed to offer no possibility of a resolution. Unless customers are allowed to voice problems directly I find it hard to imagine how they would detect problems with their services and thus improve them. The whole experience has made me much less trusting of Microsoft products. Unimaginably poor, especially considering they have the resources to provide excellent customer service. Shows what they think of their customers

This is why I stick with Linux. Shocking

This is why I stick with Linux - or my Mac.

Absolutely shocking service. The guy on activation line tried to make me pay 219 for a new Windows 10 pro licence after upgrading my motherboard knocked out the licence. He tried to convince me that even changing a hard drive would disable the licence. Seriously?

I asked to speak to his manager - no surprise he cut me off. Yayyy the calls are recorded ... that'll be going nowhere then.

Sadly my son wants to play PC games, so ... :-/ I ended up just giving in since it was late and buying a new licence from SOftwareGeeks (5* btw ;-)

Unacceptable. Seek Business with G Suite or AWS Instead

If you continue to do business with Microsoft thinking they are still the standard, you will be extremely disappointed almost immediately after your company launches. Microsoft's Blob Storage with Azure's feedback portal and forums and literally riddled with integrations AWS has already built. Microsoft's Enterprise Suite pricing and allotted resources are an absolute joke compared to Google's G Suite. Moreover, it is way clunkier, more riddled with bugs and app crashes, and extremely antiquated. Finally, in the era of smartphone assistants one would think Outlook Calendar should be able to sync with Google Calendar. I'm assuming Microsoft is on it's last legs due to terrible innovation, a culture of slacking and mediocrity, and just never getting around to improve customer service and read feedback because they're not letting Google Calendar sync with Outlook likely out of fear it would make them truly worthless and obsolete.

;tldr: Microsoft is half a decade behind it's competitors and forces those unwise enough to pay for their services to use their canker sore of a platform instead of more productive and innovative platforms.

Pathetic customer service

If you want a terrible all round online shopping experience that includes being misinformed every time you call "customer support" and sending emails that never get read or responded to, Microsoft provide just that experience.

I ordered a Surface Pro 4 with Type Cover yesterday evening (10/4/17). After verifying the purchase with the bank, the money was taken from my account, but things started to go downhill afterwards. There was no confirmation email, nor could the order number be found if I tried to track the order online. On speaking with a representative, they said they'd look into the matter to find out what was happening. This morning (11/4/17) I still hadn't received a confirmation email, so got in touch with Microsoft again to find out what was happening. Just after coming off the phone, I finally received the "confirmation email" along with a phonecall verifying the orders. From the phonecall, I confirmed the details and was assured an email with shipping information would be sent over.

I instead received an email stating there was a problem with the order, which meant trudging through multiple options on the phone to try and figure out what was going on. The representative failed to give a valid reason to why the order couldn't be processed, nor did they apologise for the inconvenience.

The money was luckily returned to my account, where I went to a local retailer, bought the device and received excellent customer service. I would stay away from buying from Microsoft store. Even if you have the funds in your account, they'll find some way to mess things up and not take responsibility. Avoid them at all costs.

Customer Support

Was told that a replacement would be be sent by return. Microsoft received the faulty Pro 4 on Wednesday, still no information regarding receipt of replacement. Spoke to 'customer support' cannot throw any light on where the replacement is and when it is being sent out as different department , Customer services in Romania and Repair department in Germany obviously don't talk to each other and it is the customer that suffers. Not very happy

Microsoft behaving like the worst kind of spammers

Has Microsoft just invested in Apple or something? I was happy with Windows 7. I left work on Friday with Windows 7 and on Monday suddenly I have Windows 10. I do not want Windows 10. I did not want Windows 10. Worst of all on Friday I was at a funeral so I couldn't clear the W10 upgrade push boxes.

Microsoft you just tricked me into "upgrading" to Windows 10. This is how spammers behave. If you are going to do this kind of thing why don't you sell porn or viagra or Nigerian money scams or something?

I have been with Microsoft since the days of MS Dos. I joyfully remember editing my autoexec.bat and config.sys files. I have shunned Apple products. I will not be buying Microsoft products again ever.

Shoving Windows 10 down your throat

Microsoft is taking away free will from PC owners. It's a PC-dictatorship. Every time I turn on my PC, I go into my processes and end the process "GWX.exe" to not be bothered by it. Every day, I get the notification that my free copy of Windows 10 is ready. I always decline and close the process again.

Today when I was in the middle of a game, my PC suddenly closed all my software and a window appeared on my screen saying that Windows 10 is starting to install.

I quickly flipped the power-switch and shut down my PC, only to restart it and I had avoided the installation. Luckily.

Microsoft is shoving Windows 10 down our throats and people are just accepting it. Microsoft is an evil, horrible and dishonest company that will stop at nothing until everyone has Windows 10 and they have all our personal information to sell. STAY away from Microsoft and Windows.

Horrible customer service

So I get on the phone to ask a simple question about my new tablet and I have to go through like 6 or 7 people before I could get to someone who could answer my question!!! Then they start asking me for my email and name (which had already been done by three other people in the same call)!!!

Now my tablet will not connect to the internet (I am on my laptop atm) and I DARE not call them again and online support is little to none!
