About Midea UK & Ireland Having achieved over 20% market share in Europe by 2017, Midea, the world’s largest air conditioning manufacturer realised that further growth was going to be difficult, especially in countries where the status quo had remained relatively unchanged. This was specifically true in the unique UK market which needed a strategic offering that wasn’t based on price alone. Midea understood the reluctance of UK installers to change manufacturers, due to a fear of poor support and after sales and the apparent need to meet alternative brand targets, believing this will support the competitive tender for pre-specified business.

unprofessional, unhelpful

Purchased a vacuum cleaner which stopped connecting to the wifi so couldn't use maps on the app anymore, checked their troubleshooting steps on the website which didn't resolve my issue so I contacted support by email who repeatedly asked me for an error code, I didn't have one as the issue is with their hardware and not the app, after days of them asking for a non existent error code they finally claimed they knew what the issue was from the error code I didn't give them then advised me the same troubleshooting steps I had already tried. I asked them to show me the error code and they changed their mind and told me to email another address to arrange a refund, I send an email and get a message back to say this email doesn't exist. Incredibly unprofessional.
Edit: now they've told me to contact the support team through the app which is how I raised this request in the first place, not only do they not know their own contact details they aren't even aware of what department they are in.

Selling air-conditioner without parts to install it

I bought an air-conditioner from them. It says it’s supposed to have the parts to install it to your window but the parts were not there now. I’m being told that the parts were not supposed to be there despite the manual saying that in Europe you get these parts with it now I have to buy the parts separate so I can install it Well do you sell an item like this and not have the parts to install? It makes no sense.

Great Support and Great Product

I purchased a Comfee 7000, and the unit has been working very well. I recently had an extension carried out, and during the boxing, I lost the hose that connects to this unit. I looked online and could not find it, and the universal ones will not work and will require tape, etc., which is no use. I spoke to the Midea UK Technical team, and Rob was very helpful and knowledgeable.

He was able to assist with my issue and source the part I needed. I would give 10/10, but I can only give 5 as a maximum.

I would 100% return and buy again and thank you for looking after me (after sales).

We brought a smart fan and it worked…

We brought a smart fan and it worked very well. When we came to buying new filters we couldn't get them anywhere.
We phoned the customer service but it was worse than awful. We were told they didn't sell spare parts, they didn't know anywhere where we could buy the filters and were told that head office knew there was a problem, but obviously weren't concerned about their customers.
They are still selling this model for a lot of money knowing that people can't buy the filters. How disgusting is that!
