We bought a gas stove top
We bought a gas stove top. It has 5 burners. 2 have never worked. never. They refuse to replace it. The customer service people on the phone are ignorant and rude. shocking.
Miele dishwasher - worst to repair
Miele dishwasher here. Two technicians visited from two different companies both telling me Miele is the most difficult company to deal with when it comes to ordering parts and repair. What a bad decision for me to be stuck with a Miele.
Poor business model.
Poor business model.
The vacuum I ordered did not work. I took it to vacuum repair store, as directed by Miele, who also said product was faulty. And, Miele CHARGED shipping to return this product that absolutely never worked.
Horrible support, should have bought Wolf
When I purchased about $15K of kitchen equipment, the miele support folks told me I had to purchase the extended warranty before my warranty ran out. The items had a 2 year warranty. 3 weeks before it runs out I call and try to buy the extended warranty but they tell me no, you only have one year.
So I get a response from email support and they explain to me that it had to be purchased in the first year, as if I had not already said that in my message.
So they are refusing to take another $1k from me for 3 working units still under warranty. Clearly they don't have much confidence in their equipment.
Our dishwasher almost cause a fire
Our dishwasher almost cause a fire. Woke up with smoke filled house. So far the technician has been here twice and couldn’t fix it. They are ordering more parts that are now on back order. The warranty is awful. They could of just replaced it but no they want to spend weeks ordering parts and trying to fix this machine. I will never buy from miele again. Not to mention I’m 9 months pregnant and have been washing dishes for my big family waiting weeks to get this dump fixed. Shame on you Miele.
We bought a $10,000 freezer in 2018
We bought a $10,000 freezer in 2018. It already went out and Miele service said they can't fix it. Third party that was recommended said it needs to be replaced. Truly insane for this high end of a product.
Miele is the WORST!
I have owned Viking, Wilf, Subzero, LG and Kitchenaid Appliances. Miele is absolutely terrific!! Do NOT BUY them. The service is the worst. Within one year several of the lights were n the fridge go out. They should last for year and complicated to replace. The range has always made a “pinging” sound 4 different repair guys can’t figure out why. Just terrible quality and service for products that are priced like their are premium. Service is a joke. Honestly, shocked at how bad these products and service are. I am also a designer and will never recommend Miele to anyone!
Just bought a C1 Cat&Dog vacuum
Just bought a C1 Cat&Dog vacuum. Received a C1 (not Cat&Dog and about $450 cheaper). Called the customer service number and the person was very nice but obviously powerless. After a few hold periods for this person to speak to "his mentor", they decided it would be OK to return my vacuum since it was apparently Miele's mistake (note sarcasm). Never apologized for sending me the wrong, cheaper vacuum which causes me inconvenience. I guess I should be happy with the simple fact that they decided I was not a crook. They "process the return" and say they are emailing me a return label. I wait an hour, still no return label - keep in mind I have to repurchase the vacuum I want and there is a sale that is about to expire in a few days. I call them back and another very nice person tells me it is in queue for management approval. WHAT? He assured me it would be approved and the return label will be sent within the next day. I'm not holding my breath. I guess it's time to buy a Dyson.
Miele thinks it is too good to give me the sale price
I purchased a Miele Boost vacuum on May 23 and discovered that a 25%sale started May 24th. Most stores will honor a discount within 10 or 14 days of a sale, but according to the customer support team, Miele will not. They claim that the sales price is "automatic" and they can't begin to give it to me now, even though the sale is still going on! I even would take a Miele credit because the accessories that the Boost comes with are not great and I would like to buy some others. Again, Miele won't do that. I could return this vacuum and buy it again as the sale is still going on--but this seems like a huge waste of time and money and carbon footprint. What's their problem?
Service call in March still waiting for service in June…
I made a service call for fixing leaking fridge in March. Today is 1 of June, nobody fixed it. Miele does not give a service itself as it was before: they outsourced it to certain Elrctroexperts - the company impossible to reach and difficult to deal with.
Customer Service no longer available
We’ve owned Miele appliances for 20 years, they always need repair/service which we’ve dealt with but things have changed. Our dishwasher broke and we have been waiting a month just to get a call back. We call almost daily and Miele customer service is out of control, clearly a serious problem getting help for service calls.
Oven has been making a noise since day…
Oven has been making a noise since day one. Only one repair person in the area that works on his own schedule. Extremely informal repair process. 2 visits, not fixed. Process has taken over 6 months and still no results.
Ordered the Blizzard CX1 Vacuum
Ordered the Blizzard CX1 Vacuum. Got a delivery date of 5/9. On 5/15, I contacted Miele to inquire about the shipment; they said that 'there was a glitch in the system, and that it should ship out in a week'. I requested to cancel the order.
Now, on 5/19 I got a notification from UPS that my package was awaiting pickup at a shipping center, an hour away from my house. Called Miele again, and they told me that my only option was to go pick up the vacuum, and (pay) to ship it back to them to generate a refund.
Calling Amex to reverse this payment, since Miele is unwilling to cancel the order or resolve the issue. Worst customer experience possible.
Do Not Buy a Miele Appliance!
We purchased a $13,000 range 2 years ago and just found out that to fix the oven (which now doesn't work at all and we've barely used it), it will cost us $3,500! The customer service people are extremely unhelpful and don't even seem to understand the problem. They just keep saying the same thing over and over again. Do not, under any circumstances, but a Miele appliance!
The worst customer service I have ever encountered
Wow, all the reviews are absolutely correct. Customer Service will jerk you around for weeks and then to find out that they won’t even help. I had an unauthorized installer install a washer and dryer for me. I didn’t know he was unauthorized. He was the salesman at DCI resource home. He didn’t know what he was doing and then I had to write the check directly to him. No one will help me. Miele says it’s not their issue even though this guy is posing as an authorized installer. Horrible Customer Service and extremely disappointing. They even lead me to believe they were going to help.
Hats off to Corey in Quality Assurance
Hats off to Corey in Quality Assurance. My saga began when I sent me coffee maker for repair because of a water leak. When my machine was returned, it did not work at all. After returning it two subsequent times with no resolution, a complaint was filed and Corey got involved. What a breath of fresh air. After months of dealing with this, Corey expedited a return and got me a replacement unit within days. Thank you Corey!!
Outright mendacity about avaialability of parts for an old dryer, leading to a $251.72 futile repair evaluation
In preparation for selling the apartment of my mother who died last year, I was trying to get her 25 year-old Miele clothes dryer repaired, so I called Miele USA. After describing the basic problems, which are an erratically functioning on/off button and a flaky door lock, the first thing I asked the customer service representative is whether they would have parts available for a machine that old, and I emphasized that I did not want to pay for a service visit that was doomed to futility by the age of the dryer. I was repeatedly assured by the their representative that all parts necessary for such a repair would be available irrespective of the age of the dryer because of Miele's commitment to support of their products. The outcome of this interaction was a $251.72 bill for an on-site evaluation that led to the conclusion that the machine could not be repaired because they Miele no longer stock the parts needed to repair the lock. Totally sad that accountability, not to mention honesty, is an archaic value, at when it comes to Miele USA.
Poor replacement/return experience
I bought C3 Homecare+ vacuum and it was delivered today. It didn't work properly out of the box. I called the customer service and asked for replacement. They said that they do not do replacements "if it is not damaged but simply fails" and suggested to do a warranty repair (for a new just delivered item!!! If I wanted a refurbished vacuum I would not pay a full price of $1700). So I asked for a return instead. The return policy is following: they would give you an address and you'll need ship the appliance there at your own cost. I'm very happy that it's just a 30lb vacuum and the shipping will cost me "only" $130.
I was hoping to get an excellent product. Instead I'm loosing time, money and most of all my mood is ruined.
No exchanges. Ridiculous returns.
Mistakenly ordered the a performance pack of vacuum bags and filter in the wrong size. I called to set up an exchange for the correct size. Miele doesn’t do exchanges. They informed me I would have to return them at my expense and then place a new order, and that it was not possible to honor the original sale price on the replacement order. Then even the return was a total hassle. They don’t offer a return label. I had to repack and ship them. In the original box that would have cost $40. I found a slightly smaller box and it cost me $18 return shipping. When I called I told them in the future I will just buy third party bags and and am done buying Miele products. The company could not have seemed to care less.
Please buy at your own risk this is a…
Please buy at your own risk this is a fraudulent company that will not back their inferior products. Please, please designers, homeowners let’s boycott this company and hold them accountable. I bought a Miele cooktop and was given a cooktop thats defective with safety concerns and not useable. They are refusing to stand by their warranty, refund my money or replace or repair their product. Is this Canada or some third world country where big companies are never held accountable?.If you have a legitimate complaint against this company pls speak up
