Don't be taken advantage of

Throughout the entire year reports of faults with the house took multiple weeks and often months to be repaired - and after repairs usually persisted. The house itself was at least decent value for money. Attempted every trick in the book to try and scam us out of the deposit including never sending us an inventory for the duration of our tenancy and claiming that wear on the shower was caused by deliberate damage instead of wear and tear - despite us leaving it in a better state than that in which we found it. I cannot dissuade people more from using this abysmal provider.

Mighty student living retain deposits…

Mighty student living retain deposits unfairly. They charge over £60 to repaint a wall, their company benefits form any works. The whole process is a complete rip off. Avoid this company completely. There are many better ones in Lancaster.

**Avoid at all costs**

**Avoid at all costs – appalling living conditions and completely unprofessional management.**

My daughter’s experience in this shared student house has been nothing short of a nightmare. From the start, her room was *damp and mouldy*, with a *leaking roof* that was never properly fixed despite repeated reports. The conditions were unacceptable for anyone to live in, let alone a student trying to complete their final year of university.

We raised these issues multiple times via email, only to be *ignored, dismissed, or strung along with false promises*. Communication from the landlord/agency was evasive and unhelpful – they clearly had no intention of taking responsibility or making meaningful repairs.

The damp and mould have caused serious health issues, and the constant stress of living in such a neglected environment has completely ruined what should have been a memorable and exciting final year. Instead, it’s been miserable.

It’s shocking that in 2025, students are still being exploited and forced to live in *unsafe and degrading* conditions like this. If you're considering renting this property or dealing with this landlord/agency – *don’t*. They do not care about their tenants and will not support you when things go wrong.

We have now instructed a legal team to pursue this matter following advice from the local council and The University.

Avoid at all costs!

Where to start? Absolutely useless student management company, both for the student and the landlord. Providing no support and just pushing tickets from one support employee to another to delay doing basic fixes. (Such as preparing our back garden access that resulted partial fault in a break in of the property) Avoid using if a student, very well known for maxing out deposits and not even using the money for the "damage fixes" that they mention instead just pocketing extra profit each year knowing most students woulnd't bother to argue.
