Lets see, delayed for two years, until rules changed, sent court on them because they did not even start to look at it, got denied because “they did not call me in for person check” moaned about, i’ve been here for two little time, mind me that was 7 yrs already, skatteverket confirmed that i own stuff, pay stuff and on top of all are EU. Appearantly they “check” skatteverket which they don’t, informed me to be ready to leave when “visa” ends.. (VISA, i’m EU) court only informed they deal with it, no communication after.. seriously, if you can, don’t start with them, it is literally ridicilous how little they follow their own rules and how much it seems is decided according to dice throw. I sorta feel i was racist handled also since i was born on russian times and they do not understand history.. pretty sour about it, got denied BECAUSE haven’t been enough time here (7years, even skatteverket confirmed) and they can’t communicate when they miss stuff (passport, which they got), assume (VISA, EU does not need it), take action (Court) and even then halfarse job.. I would give zero stars, to all of them, nothing they preach about apply, not even homepage info.

Applied for a category and they rejected in 6 days (quit fast as they got money immediately rejected because that's the goal), first they asked for NFC passport verification which I don't have they said no problem they will give a date to visit personally in embassy but instead they just rejected if I asked for refund they never even effort to reply even that category didn't have that rule "fee not refund if rejected" that's totally insane.

One of the worst organizations i ever encountered in my life. They don't believe in any form of structure, deadline, transparency , accountability, communication, feedback,... nothing at all! one must be some evil person to be able to work there otherwise anyone with some level of decency and self-respect will refuse to work at such organization.

I had a very disappointing experience with Migrationsverket. The entire process was extremely slow and stressful. I submitted my student residence permit application months in advance, completed biometrics and an interview, yet I was left waiting with no clear updates or timeline. Every time I contacted them, I only received generic replies like “your case is in the queue” without any real information.

The lack of transparency, communication, and efficiency made the process incredibly frustrating. International students invest a lot of money, time, and energy to pursue education in Sweden, but the way applications are handled shows little respect for that effort.

Migrationsverket needs to improve its communication, speed, and fairness. Based on my experience, I cannot give more than 1 star.

The Swedish Migration Agency has shown a complete lack of empathy and professionalism throughout my entire application process. They play with people’s emotions and never seem to care about the mental stress, financial loss, and academic damage their endless delays cause.
For months, I sent multiple emails asking for updates, but never received a single reply. Because of their slow and careless handling, I lost an entire academic year and countless opportunities. It feels like they treat people not as human beings but as case numbers, with zero understanding of how their actions affect real lives.
Sweden might be a developed country, but the migration system is broken, heartless, and needs serious reform. Students and families deserve respect, transparency, and timely processing—not this endless cycle of silence and frustration.

I am giving 0 star since there is no option for it I gave 1, One of the worst agency in the world. In 7 years time of living I waited for my decision for work permit, study permits application over 4 year's. Then they rejected for no reason. Mental health, physical health all was sucked. Not only me, they made almost 100% of the immigrant as fuc***ked as their own life. So Future immigrant or tourist, decide wisely.

Even visiting Sweden is a nightmare!!! Backlog of tourist visas not being approved etc. hahahaha! There are hundreds of other countries to visit on my list except Sverige hahahahaha!

I'd put 0 stars to this country. This is a freaking country, with freaking migration systems. They got stupid immigration policy, they judge the people in an insane way without looking what kind of people they are. The migration organization rejects accepting well spoken, good people with good reputations and accepts terrorists. They fill up the people with hope for even some years saying they're good to be accepted to their county and then end up saying "you don't qualify for it". This is insane!! You can not play with the fates of people!! Take my friendly advice and NEVER, EVER go to this country, you're gonna end up with this again.
I wish this county filling up with terrorists, who will act their way and the migration organization will understand what they did. Swedish migration organization, wish you hell!! God will judge you!!

Jag skulle ge 0 stjärnor till det här landet. Det här är ett jävla land, med jävla migrationssystem. De fick en dum invandringspolitik, de dömer folket på ett vansinnigt sätt utan att se vad det är för människor. Migrationsorganisationen avvisar att acceptera vältalade, bra människor med gott rykte och accepterar terrorister. De fyller upp folket med hopp om till och med några år och säger att de är bra att bli antagna till sitt län och slutar sedan med att säga "du är inte kvalificerad för det". Det här är galet!! Du kan inte leka med människors öden!! Ta mitt vänliga råd och åk ALDRIG, ALDRIG till det här landet, du kommer att sluta med det här igen.
Jag önskar att detta län fylls på med terrorister, som kommer att agera på sitt sätt och att migrationsorganisationen förstår vad de gjorde. Svensk migrationsorganisation, önskar dig helvete!! Gud kommer att döma dig!!

They are bad and they don't want anybody from abroad to move and live in Sweden with spouse! Especially the women who have Swedish boyfriend or husband have to wait so long more than one year or two years. They don't care about your problem. They don't even care about your stressful from waiting unlimited time services. For my case have been waiting for 14 months. I and my husband got married and have marriage certificate (familje bevis) we have been in relationship more than 4 years before I apply for UT Visa. My husband has salary about 45K SEK WE BOUGHT THE HOUSE! We really love each other. But Migrationsverket is making us sad and stressful.

Shities institution in Sweden. Shame to have such a racist, discriminatory and incompetent public authority. Shame!!!!

Violated the rights of a 12-year-old child. I'm the only parent. The child was refused and I was given a residence permit for two years.What
should I do with my son in the opinion of migration unit? Leave alone in Russia? Because I have no one to leave my son with. So I can't come to Sweden to see my partner. We both can't see my partner me and son. Because we are denied a visa because of my permission and son's refused. And my partner cannot come to a country that is waging war. The court will consider my son's case for 17-21 months and by that time my residence permit will not be valid. I ask for the help of all those who are not indifferent, I still believe that there are people in this country who are ready to act in the interests of children and not against them!

Applied for premission to stay inside sweden for my girlfriend and her son (12 years old). My girlfriend was approved for two years, her son was denied. What is the suggestion from migration unit we will do? leave him alone inside another country? Its nothing human about this place or this decission. They searched their best to find reason to say no. I am a Swedish and i guess they think its better i move, even tho its from my tax money they get salary

Worst embassy ever. I applied for a resident permit and after a long 4 months they rejected without any reason. They didn't ask for any particular document or conduct an interview. They just slept for the entire time and at the last minute of my registration time, suddenly got rejected. I didn't get time for appealing my case too. I just lost my precious 1 year due to them, because of their unprofessional approach. They didn’t deserve even 1 star!

Very very bad service... what people are doing in their offices during opening time?!

Worst institution with a worst staff. People are waiting from years and they just play with the mental health of poor people. The worst thing about waiting time is you can’t travel outside Sweden no matter what emergencies. They don’t even deserve 1 star review.
