Choosing Mindbody as the reservation platform for our Pilates studio has unfortunately been a very disappointing experience.
Because Mindbody is one of the biggest providers in this space, we expected a smooth onboarding and reliable support. Instead, we faced multiple issues from the very beginning, many of which are still unresolved.
Before signing, we were told we could have our own branded app. After signing the agreement, we were informed that as a freelancer we are not eligible due to Apple Store policy. This was a key requirement for us, and other platforms confirmed this is actually possible regardless of legal structure.
The onboarding process was also problematic. We are based in Amsterdam, yet we were assigned an onboarding representative in a completely different time zone, making communication difficult, with meeting slots as late as 9 PM. In addition, VAT settings were configured incorrectly, resulting in incorrect invoices during our first month. The system does not allow proper invoice cancellation, which created unnecessary administrative complications.
We also discovered ourselves that there are two different versions of the Mindbody website integration widget. We were not informed about this and implemented the wrong one, which negatively affected the checkout experience and likely caused us to lose customers.
We have repeatedly requested proper support or a dedicated account manager to help correct the setup, but most responses have been automated emails asking whether we still have the same problem, without any real resolution.
Customer support has been inconsistent, with different representatives giving conflicting answers, often saying that limitations are simply “how the system works”.
Overall, the experience has created unnecessary operational difficulties at a critical stage of our business. We hope Mindbody will take responsibility and improve their onboarding and support process for new studios.
Big name, disappointing experience - we should have chosen Bsport.

Complete bs no help at all and only has caused me anxiety and fear of my finances. Thanks for absolutely nothing. I wish I could get the heck out of this stupid contract but I cannot without paying an over $500 fee. What sales scandal. Would not recommend to anyone.

The thing that makes this product so great is clearly the tech support. They have all been incredibly helpful and know how to navigate the software like pros.
The negative side is that much of the navigation is not intuitive and difficult to correct errors without the aid of their tech support.

I've spent enough time on a small issue. Unable to even find a way to reach customer support. Send you to a do loop with no way to actually get there, or so buried you can't find.
