Recommended to those dedicated to their education!

I am the owner of a dance/ Yoga studio in Draper, UT. I recently achieved the 200 hr program.

I have enjoyed the Kaivalya Yoga Program - I found the information to be thorough, organized, and presented in a way that was easy to digest and absorb. Although online education feels harder for me as a platform (I still prefer the classroom!), the professional Mentors all offered helpful, implementable feedback and were timely in responding to my questions. Alanna is radiant through the screen. I did appreciate the ability to receive the training on my own time.

I am glad to have this information as a resource to continue to improve my teaching skills. I appreciate the added strength, grace, flexibility and alignment that yoga enhances in movement. Within my dance classes, new yoga knowledge has enhanced my verbal cueing & vocabulary, movement flow, alignment, and helped with balancing & cooling techniques. I would recommend this program to someone committed to their education!

Look elsewhere

Information in the YTT modules is cursory. Fortunately, Alanna adds "freebies" in the form of her various other online content. The overall course is simple, however the graded tests present a huge roadblock. It takes 48 hours or more for graded assignments - turns into basically a week of waiting if you need to redo a test. Lead mentor, as previously mentioned on here, is snippy. Also, to call them a "mentor" is a misnomer. They are basically customer service reps. This YTT is a good bang for your buck, but I have been encouraging everyone I come into contact with to look elsewhere.

Does anyone that has signed on for this…

Does anyone that has signed on for this course have the customer service number.
My payment was collected I had access for a few days now I am denied access.
I have been emailing to get some assistance but not having any success.
If anyone has a customer service number to pass to me that would be great.
FYI:
I did not forget my password.
I’m sorry that’s what you were told.
There were many issues with the site not working properly.
The denying access was just one of the issues though.
It was a lesson learned.

Kandy, we're sorry you forgot your password and my understanding is that my team worked closely with you including walking you through steps on resetting your password over the phone and via email to get you back into your program.

Community

Alanna creates community when it comes to yoga and so much knowledge goes into the process of yoga. I am so excited and happy that I chose the Kaivalya Method. It's convenient, nonjudgemental of body types, and her method covers everything from philosophy, yoga to entrepreneurship.

Great Quarantine Past Time

The Kaivalya Yoga method was a great quarantine past time. I had been looking into doing YTT for a long time but never had the opportunity to embark on this journey until now. The 200hr training is broken into 3 sections and there are plenty of resources for in-depth learning. If you want more information about this YTT there's a 1hr info session that Alanna runs with a Q and A after.

In general I am very happy I decided to take 200hr

In general I am very happy I decided to participate in 200 hr training. There is some room for improvement:
1. Some assignments are not very clear. Sometimes I just submitted the video or written assignment and waited for the comments to exactly know what was needed
2. I was disappointed with the last full 60 minute class in module 3. I didn’t like the fact that it was only a compilation of all shorter videos we had seen before.
3. Some graduates are announced on Facebook and some are not, how does Andrew choose the yogis to be announced and how does he choose those that are missed?

Useful information but needs improvment

Useful information and good for the price if you want to get your yoga certification quickly. I believe there should be a cap on the amount of people let into the program at one time. There are too many students to give proper attention and to have needs met. The mentors were very nice and helpful but the lead mentor was a bit snippy and could use work on his communication style. The company needs to remember people over profit.

Good!

Training is self paced, thorough, and rigorous. There is a lot of personal study and research in addition to videos. Feedback is quick, and I appreciate that the mentors developing the assessments keep working to improve the process. I’m grateful for this opportunity during the Pandemic.

Highly recommend!

I am very satisfied with the 200 YTT for the Kaivalya yoga method. There is a ton of student interaction through the Facebook group, and the mentors are great. The material is easy to follow and very thorough. The quality of instruction is great and you get a ton of feedback. A lot of the online programs I looked at seem to leave you on your own, but not this one. I feel like I'll actually be ready to teach and be confident when I finish. I plan to sign up for the 300 hour course as well to get the full 500 hour certification.

Love the ability for Online Teacher Training…

Love the ability for Teacher Training at "your schedule" with Kaivalya online training!
There are times when a loved one is sick or work schedule takes you away from the tight time requirements needed to complete the Teacher Training at other institutes.

A little unclear in direction.

Completed half of the first module. There are good videos but I’m unclear of exactly what to be studying. The assignments also aren’t working on my mobile, despite the claim that it does, so that had broken up the flow of the course for me. Too early to say what the rest of the course is like.

I greatly enjoyed this training!

I greatly enjoyed this training and loved the organization of everything, most assignments and modules made perfect sense and i feel really prepared and excited to teach now! Only complaint would be the requirement that our final sequencing video include an inversion, i know it's adaptable but i had a lot of trouble finding a friend who practices yoga and can do an inversion, ended up working with a friend athletic enough for the inversion with no yoga experience, so i would have preferred more flexibility in what i could include in the 30 minute sequence.

I am so glad I signed up for this particular YTT training. The information is broken down and taught in an easy to understand way that builds as we go. I really appreciate Alanna’s teaching style and humour. The mentors that help grade are helpful and approachable.
I definitely found the right YTT for me and I highly recommend if you’ve been thinking about signing up that you do it!

Great course for beginners and advanced alike.

The course work is lay out in easy to follow steps with a ton of information. She presents the classwork and lessons in a loving manner, and you can truly feel her heart through the screen as she teaches. The Anatomy section is very thorough, which is great since you want to know what is going on and how to help your students when you need to modify and not to injure anyone.
