This is a great product - already making a difference to our previously drafty Victorian house and so discreet that the appearance of the original sash windows is hardly changed. Joe and his team were thoroughly professional, as well as always being on time, friendly and helpful. Definitely to be recommended to anyone who doesn’t want to replace their original period windows.

The whole experience of working with Mitchell and Dickinson has been first class. From our initial contact with Kirsty through to the installation of the secondary glazing by Arturo and Jack, the professionalism of the company has been apparent.
A special mention for Arturo and Jack, who worked so hard and were a pleasure to have in the house.
Mitchell and Dickinson are not cheap, but you have to pay for quality and we are delighted with our Sitting Room and Bathroom which are now so much warmer.

Mitchell & Dickinson restored 9 Georgian / Victorian windows that were in very bad condition and installed secondary glazing. Luke, Zack and Alistair did fantastic work, restoring the wooden frames and leaving each room clean, neat and tidy. All work was delivered on time (in fact, slightly ahead of schedule) and the team frequently went above and beyond to make sure it was the best job possible. N.B. This is not a cheap solution, but you definitely get value-for-money.

Mitchell&Dickinson has just completed the refurb of 5 large sash windows, 3 of which dated back to the house date of 1852! It is an HMO for 6 students and the craftsmen (for they were!) left it much cleaner than when they arrived. In a difficult situation, they focussed their work on one room while maintaining the security of the property and respect for belongings. The project was completed on time and within budget. We are planning for the second tranch of work for next years. Excellent result - thanks to Gary, Harry and Leo and the others!

Excellent products and craftsmanship - we are very pleased with the result. Some disappointment and frustration with the delays and rescheduling, but the outcome seems to have been worth the wait.

Finished product looks excellent in that you cannot even see the secondary glazing which is just what we want, and our drafty house is now nice and cosy. Do not give any credence to bad review. Absolute cowboys do not use, they damaged my home and cost me hundreds of pounds to repair. Their representative was rude and unhelpful.

We hired Mitchell & Dickinson to install some secondary glazing to our home, a late Georgian listed building in Hampshire. The work is not cheap - we were taken aback when the initial quote arrived and we then scaled back the number of windows we wanted to have done. But from the moment the team from M&D arrived in June 2023, they were magnificent. They are real craftsmen, and we were amazed at the work that went into refitting our French doors and windows and then draught proofing before the glazing panels were fitted. Thanks to the subtlety of the system and the matching of paints, the glazing is as unobtrusive as it is possible to be - it really is hard to see it is even there. It took a team of three - sometimes four - two full weeks to do the work which is a testament to their skill and professionalism, and also makes it easier to understand why the work is expensive.

Arturo and Harry spent two weeks with us refurbishing, draught-proofing and installing secondary double glazing and stylish new window furniture on all our sash and casement windows. Surprisingly, the secondary glazing makes the original windows look so much better, and they now smoothly glide open and closed, and there's no draughts. Arturo and Harry are both passionate about their work and their company and pay great attention to detail to ensure a perfect finish, and they left the place spotless.

A right Charlie is normally a derogatory term. Not this one. Charlie Chuck Chuckles, as his nickname goes, perfectly personified his personality. He was a ‘right on’ Charlie… effusive, punctual, polite and professional as team leader on a glazing revamp of my cottage in East Sussex. I thank him and his co workers for their diligent efforts.

This would have been a 5 star review if there hadn't been a long delay between paying the large 50% deposit and the work starting.

EVERYTHING else was totally 5 star.

Brilliant from start to finish! Paul and his team were incredibly professional. They were considerate of all the household requirements, understanding the special needs of one household member. They quite literally turned the place upside down but everything tidied away at the end of every day. The end result is a set of 6 totally refurbished listed building windows that are a joy to open! and you would never have known they were there as they cleaned and tidied everything! I cannot express enough my gratitude to all the team and would recommend them in an instant.

I'd like to thank all of the Team at Mitchell & Dickinson, it was a sterling job from start to finish, communication was fabulous. The craftsmen were consciencous, helpful and pulled out all the stops to get a replacement glazing sheet when one had been scratched in transit. So they completed the job in the original estimated time without any compromise on quality. My grade II listed flat is now quieter and looking forward to a warmer winter. I can't recommend these guys enough, thank you Lucy, Rachel, John, Alex & Joe :)

We are delighted with the work that Mitchell & Dickinson have carried out on the nine arched windows in our Grade II* listed apartment. The skilled craftsmen (thanks, Will and Phil) were a pleasure to have in our home, and they negotiated the issues of limited space and two dogs better than we could have hoped. The apartment is significantly quieter when the windows are closed, and we look forward to a cosier winter. Mitchell & Dickinson may be more expensive than rival companies, but we were happy to pay a premium for peace of mind and the knowledge that their after-sales service is top-notch. Our thanks go to the whole team: the office staff, the surveyors, the craftsmen. It has been a pleasure!

Top class service - the chaps doing the work (Luke,Zac,Jack & Harry) were extremely professional, worked like Trojans & were very accommodating on a challenging window fit & restoration. The finished product is excellent - we are so pleased & would highly recommend both the team & the company. As another review said, would very happily use again if they go in for other types of listed building repair or restoration.
Not a cheap product but absolute quality.

We had sash windows insulated - which involved releasing the ones that were painted shut, adjusting all to fit well, fitting brush draughtproofing, fitting secondary glazing, reweighting, refitting and retouching.
Similar work was done to multiple casements, including sealing some shut.
The front door was also insulated as it was badly fitted and leaked like a sieve.
The secondary glazing is wonderfully discrete - not at all obtrusive.
The team were polite, efficient and clean, leaving no mess behind.
We are already noticing the difference to both thermal insulation and noise reduction.

I have recently had Mitchell and Dickinson refurbish and fit cozy-fit glazing to the two sash windows on my Grade 2 listed building. I found the all of the people that worked on this from the office staff to the three guys who did the work to be extremely helpful and informative. The work was undertaken with the minimum amount of fuss and everything was left clean and tidy. The work was of a very high standard and I would highly recommend them to anyone who requires this type of work to be undertaken

We would highly recommend Mitchell and Dickinson. We had restoration work carried out on the wooden window frames in our listed cottage, and cosy glazing fitted after.
Kevin and John, the two craftsman, were punctual, discreet, informative and highly skilled. We are delighted with the cosy glazing which has solved the problem of draughts and heat loss, and they look good too. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend Mitchell and Dickinson, or use them again ourselves.
