Updated policy to cover new mobile phone with MPID

Simple and cost effective

Simple, affordable cover with excellent value, especially with the multi-policy discount. I called because I was unsure whether it was okay to insure two phones for two people living in the same house, as the policy mentioned having the same owner of the gadgets. I spoke with Daniel, who reassured me that this is perfectly fine as long as you live at the same address.

I had to send in proof of my phone…

I had to send in proof of my phone three times before it was accepted. In the last email they said to remove case and screen protector. The screen protector is see-through, they can clearly see my screen isn’t cracked - this wasn’t at all necessary and there were not instructions to say a case needed to be removed

fraud avoid this company!!!!!

I had a very disappointing experience with mobilephoneinsurancedirect
I held a valid policy, paid all my premiums, and even received a replacement device earlier in the year. When I later reported the phone as lost, my claim was rejected on the basis of alleged “continuous usage” issues, and my policy was cancelled. There was no allegation of fraud or misrepresentation.
The term they relied on was never clearly explained, and rejecting the entire claim for this reason feels unfair and disproportionate. I have now had to send a formal Letter Before Action and may need to take the matter to court.
I would strongly advise others to read the policy terms very carefully before purchasing, as my experience has been extremely frustrating.

Following review of the information provided by the network, we were unable to evidence this requirement in your case, and as a result the claim was declined in accordance with the policy conditions.

We would like to reassure you that this decision was based solely on the policy requirements and there was no allegation of fraud made against you.
