Utter scam. Do NOT use this lease company
WOW, WOW, WOW - after reading these reviews - they are all correct. Imobilize is an incompetent, unprofessional and inept financier to car hire. Nissan pretend they are not linked but they are as Mobilize letters come out on Nissan headed paper. Mobilize are trying to charge me for a missed service ( I had one service) despite fact I didnt have the car two years. They also claim for some damage on the paint work which is microscopic and not more than wear and tear. Like the reviewer above the miles on a car is what keeps a cars value and they very well know this. In fact low mileage adds thousands to a car. As such, it is obvious this is a money making scam with Nissan and some car manufacturers are complicit by working alongside Mobilize as their financiers - especially knowing all the critiques & complaints about them. This means the car companies dont care about customers of their car brand.
Someone took out a car agreement using…
Someone took out a car agreement using my address — even though I had nothing to do with it. I reported this issue to the company multiple times over several years. Each time, they assured me it would be resolved, but nothing changed. Eventually, I received a letter thanking me for the “final payment,” which suggests the matter may have finally closed — though no one ever confirmed that to me.
What’s worse, the company repeatedly sent me this person’s bank details, including sensitive financial information, to my home address. This is a serious breach of privacy and shows a complete lack of customer protection. The lack of communication, ineffective action, and years of stress caused by someone else’s contract tied to my home address were unacceptable. I do not recommend this company.
Do not use Mobilize finance or Renault finance
Bought a Renault Zoe in August 2022. In March 2025 it broke down and was Towed to a dealer. Nothing happened on the repair for 3 months. In june 2025 I was told that the part would arrive in October 2025. I asked to terminate the contract. I have an email from mobilize saying they would do that. Despite repeated requests, at the time of writing (October 2025) Mobilize have still not terminated the contract and are putting non payment entries on my credit file. Do not use this company! I have filed complaints and spoken to managers. Still no resolution.
This company are a complete joke
This company are a complete joke. I returned my car under the voluntary termination provision. They at first ignored this request. When I told them this was illegal they agreed but then presented a ridiculous list of 'charges' levied against me. Although the law is grey on whether any such charges are legal, I was willing to pay for legitmate damage that went beyond 'reasonable condition'. It took weeks for them to respond, they constantly harrassed with phone calls when I said I would not respond this way, would not directly answer my queries or justify their charges. When I raised a complaint they backed down somewhat but still would not address everything properly, and for want of a £29 excess mileage charge they sent a final communication on my complaint. I referred it to the Financial Ombudsman (also useless) and they initially denied I had raised a complaint until they were sent evidence of their email! I have finally resolved it out of pure exhaustion after 4 months but not to my satisfaction. Throughout they did't address me by name, didn't apologise for problems, sent standard emals and didn't seem to know what they had sent me or what they had said. Completely incomptent. If you are buying a Renault I would STRONGLY advise against using their own finance. Take a loan elsewhere, but I never want to have to deal with this shower ever again
We struggled to pay our monthly payment…
We struggled to pay our monthly payment and missed 3 months of repayment. Mobolize threatened to take us to court so we returned the car to them, which was then sold at an auction. Our total balance was £10,000 and after sales we were left with £4,300. We offered to make reasonable monthly payments towards our debt, sent a letter explaining our situation and my mental health crises which had worsened because of the situation to be completely ignored and rejected. We are now facing a court order.
PLEASE AVOID THIS COMPANY. For your own sake and sanity. They have no sympathy or compassion. Totally robotic never seen anything like it before.
I spoke to a lady I think called Taliha…
I spoke to a lady called Tashneema Hendricks based in Customer service. I had to ask her name 6 times before she give it. She disconnected the call as I was speaking. She spoke over me multiple times. She made me very angry how she was speaking to me as if I was stupid. She expected me to carry a vehicle on an extra year for £1000 when I am currently paying £269. Awful customer service skills and hanging up on a talking client. I hope these calls are recorded.
Avoid at all costs - Unreasonable, robotic, and completely unfair.
Where do I even begin with the appalling experience I've had with Mobilize Financial Services (Nissan Finance)? If you value fairness, common sense, or customer service that involves actual human reasoning, I strongly advise you to look elsewhere. Dealing with this company feels like arguing with a poorly programmed robot that can only repeat one line: "It's policy."
Here are the facts: I returned my Nissan Qashqai at the end of a three-year lease.
My mileage allowance was 18,000 miles. I returned the car with just over 5,000 miles. That's nearly 13,000 miles under the limit.
Their own appointed inspection agent (Manheim) inspected the car and awarded it the highest possible grade: A1. He officially reported it as being in immaculate, showroom condition with not a single fault.
You would think they would be delighted to receive a car in perfect condition with such low mileage, which massively increases its resale value for them. But no. Instead, they sent me a final bill for £210 for a "missed service."
I have spent weeks trying to reason with them, presenting them with their own A1 inspection report as irrefutable proof that the car's condition is perfect. I pointed out that based on their own excess mileage charge of 8p per mile, I have effectively handed them back an asset worth over £1,000 more than they were entitled to expect.
Their response? A series of copy-paste emails completely ignoring every piece of evidence. It is impossible to have a rational conversation. They just repeat that servicing is required every 12 months "regardless of vehicle condition or mileage." It's a shocking lack of commercial sense and basic fairness. They are happy to financially benefit from my meticulous care of the vehicle, but refuse to apply any discretion whatsoever.
This company is the definition of unreasonable. They hide behind rigid, nonsensical policies and their customer service teams are clearly empowered only to send out template responses, not to listen or apply logic.
I have refused to pay this unjust charge and am now escalating my case to the Financial Ombudsman. Do not be fooled by the glossy marketing; this company's end-of-contract process is designed to extract money from you without any regard for fairness or the facts. Avoid, avoid, avoid.
Nothing but stress and hassle!
I had to voluntary terminate my contract they tell you after you have had the car half the term you can voluntary terminate and that would be that, however I was given a £1500 bill for the remaining balance as I hadn’t paid half the term, even though I had my car for nearly 3 years and it was a 4 year contract. Anyways… I accepted this bill as not sure what else I could do, don’t get me started on the inspection, an extra £400 they added onto this bill, saying I didn’t have full service history for the full 9 year the car has been around… even though I had the full service history for the time I had the car. It took MONTHS for them to send me the invoice baring in mine during this time they had already SOLD THE CAR WITH OUTSTANDING FINANCE! I did question this however again do not understand anything and went with it, I disputed the first invoice and managed to save £210… still my outstanding bill has went to £1700+ .. I asked for a new invoice to be sent. This invoice was never sent, weeks had past, in the meantime I’m receiving letters to pay and phone calls to pay, I rang up again asking for this invoice, they said they will send it through email. I tried to pay this invoice through credit card but declined twice, I had to move money around and pay fee’s for transferring credit card money to my bank, only way I could pay it! Went to pay the money then my account got locked and I had to ring the fraud team! They eventually opened my account again and told me to make sure that the bank details were legit and correct, funny enough.. TWO completely different bank details from the first letter to the email!!! I rang at this point, they told me I needed to ring the customer service line… they apologised.. I know it’s not their fault but this has been ongoing for months and it’s extremely stressful when it shouldn’t be! He then gives me ANOTHER bank details, that’s THREE completely different bank details! Who am I sending this money too?????? It’s been nothing but hassle and unnecessary stress and I would advise if you are getting a car on finance make sure it’s NOT with this company, you learn from your mistakes unfortunately. I am STILL waiting for this new invoice to be posted…wish me luck
The service from Mobilize Financial…
The service from Mobilize Financial Services was uniformly abysmal. There was no sympathy with or understanding of our situation. Our car, a Dacia Duster, suffered a catastrophic engine failure after only three years (and 31,000 miles), yet because we had gone just over our warranty MFS decided to throw the rule book at us and insist on the letter of the agreement (in this case a hire purchase agreement) instead of honouring its spirit. As it happens, their hard line goes against key tenets of trading standards in the UK. One can reasonably expect a brand new car to last more than 3 years. If it doesn't, one can reasonably expect assistance and be offered a termination of the agreement. Instead, we have had to continue paying monthly instalments of £222.94 for a car we can't use, nor can we give the car back while it is unusable (the new engine it requires will cost over £10,000). Once the monthly instalments end in six months' time, we are liable for a further one-off payment of almost £7,000. Because we live in a rural area, we have now had to spend thousands on rental cars and taxis and the resulting financial stress threatens to bankrupt us. Both my wife and I have suffered anxiety as a consequence of the situation and our stress has affected our two-year-old daughter as well. Not once has Mobilize offered to provide a courtesy car or any kind of assistance. They have not even allowed us a voluntary termination of our agreement. (Indeed it took them 14 weeks from the start of our complaint to tell us formally that they were not going to help us in any way.) Their one and only concern throughout this whole sorry affair has been the money coming from our bank account into theirs. Indeed, we have been warned that our credit rating is at risk if we stop our monthly payments. We have now appealed to the Financial Ombudsman and, if that yields nothing, we shall have to take the case to law. Shame on Mobilize Financial Services. They should remove the word 'service' from their title until they have learnt what it means. The fact that Renault and Dacia use Mobilize makes those companies untrustworthy too in my book.
Incompetent lease company
Incompetent lease company. If something goes wrong with your vehicle they will never ever cooperate and try to resolve the issue or protect consumer rights. They actually rip you off and will not come to conclusion where you can decide what to do next.
Worst company I ever encounterer
1 star as unfortunately I can't give any lower rating (despite they would deserve it).
As I relocated abroad I have sold my car 2month ago, which had a battery lease from Renault. The new owners were willing to take over the battery lease, filled the forms to transfer the agreement and I have sent it to Mobilize as it was my obligation (and basically, from there on they should have handled the transfer within a reasonable time). For a week zero action at all. Then I called, from already abroad, was passed over from one incompetent CS employee to another until I finally landed by Scott who took actions (the only competent person by this terrible company). Papers sent to the new owners, who sent all info back via email. BUT wet signature was demanded by Mobilize,so the new owners asked,if they can have the forms via post,as they have no access to a printer. For 3weeks zero actions again from Mobilize, until I called why don't they react towards their customers. Luckily I had directly Scott on the line, papers finally sent, new owners sent all back filled and signed end of May, now almost end of June still no new contract in place, Mobilize don't communicate towards the new car owners despite all the correspondence, when I call they promise actions they don't fullfill but they demand I pay the one month bill for something I don't have (which I won't pay,as it is open due to their lack of actions and their competence).
Reading all the reviews about them it seems their terrible attitude towards customers is more a common practice than an exception. The company should be closed down and their licence to operate should be rewoken.
WORST Service Ever
Don't go near this company even if your life depended on it.
My car finance was through Nissan Finance which unfortunately led me to this company who are without doubt the most useless, incompetent bunch of idiots I've ever experienced. My car finance was settled early, it took them over a month to collect the car as they kept saying they didn't have my details on file. They claimed I was missing services even though I provided them with the copy of the service the car had a week before collection. After taking the car they then billed me £3000 for excess mileage which claimed I'd done 38000 miles over my agreed limit. The car had only done 38000 miles in its entire lifetime... I've emailed and rung constantly for 6 weeks now but just receive threatening letters whilst they ignore every bit of contact I attempt.
AVOID this business at all costs.
61 minutes on wait call.
After part-exchange my car with a dealer , try to check regarding the settlements payment , call 0333…0000, : you’re next customer to answer, please wait .. .. 09.58am .. hold till 10.59am line disconnected.
Tried another number end 8392.. just few minutes get connect with human chatting . What to say.
Worst finance company ever.
Diabolical company, cannot explain why I don’t have an online account (that’s if they bother to respond to emails or calls) and always “receiving high number of calls.” How Nissan ever got involved with this pile of shit is beyond me!
Very poor
Very poor - do not have your finance through them. I have unfortunately had to be a customer as Nissan Finance, who I originally had my car finance through, somehow moved to Mobilize. Since then, I have had constant issue, from failure to take monthly regular payments despite it being set up for 3 years! Letters telling me I am in arrears, when I am not, telling me I owe them 1p or I will be subject to a bad credit rating and the list goes on. Honestly, I can not wait to give my car up so I can be rid of them.
Oh and to note, my husband also has a car lease agreement through them and he has had almost exactly the same issues, except they put a late payment on his credit file, when it was their error for not taking payment so he had to fight them for months to get it removed. They take up time, effort and unnecessary stress to resolve their incompetence!
Never again!!!!!!!!!!!
They only get 1 star
They only get 1 star, as its the lowest I can give.
Paid settlement quote in full on May 20th (was actually the day before, but there website shows it as 20th)
The website shows that there is a balance of £0
The statement shows that there is a balance of £0
I have a payment reference number
I have had confirmation via email that my account has been closed as FULL payment has been made
Yet, I'm still getting hounded via TXT and paper mail for payment.
Getting through to these
Terrible
Terrible, shouldn't be allowed to work in the finance industry. Never had access to online account, they can't explain why and when you ask for a statement they send you only what you've paid in, no interest amounts or final balance etc. it's like they have no clue what they're doing which is terrifying
Most unhelpful helpline ever
We had a EV battery lease through RCI which became Mobilize. Our car's motor 'died' but the battery was fine. The EV engine would need replacing at a cost of £7k - not worth it obviously (car is 8 years old). Trying to get out of the lease agreement has proved a nightmare. The Mobilize "helpline" were as unhelpful as it's possible to be. They insisted the only option was to buy the battery or sell the car & lease to another person. They could not see the issue The battery costs thousands of £££s and who on earth would buy a dead car??? We did our research and found they were not being honest with us! You can have the battery remove and then Renault ship it to France. All you pay for is for a Renault service engineer to remove the battery.
I have had a car loan with this company…
I have had a car loan with this company for over a year.
I tried to set my account online to keep track of payments, no chance, keeps telling me they have sent an email with an access code and never did 10 attempts.
Tried phoning their customer service and found impenetrable at the stage where you speak your agreement number, 3 attempts.
Sent 2 emails, both keep getting sent back to me.
Look in the dictionary under useless and there you find Mobilize fs UK.
Took over a month to post v5 on to new…
Took over a month to post v5 on to new owner and cancelled road tax as soon as payment for vehicle received. Thus new owner could not tax it for over a month. Useless, after having my business for over ten years.
