I have had a negative experience since I opened this account! No one speaks English with the costumer service reps! I do not recommend this checking account for any one! Do Not I repeat Do Not sign up for this bank! No normal bank operators under the shaningans I have delt with and still because my account is blocked.

Terrifying Experience as a Parent
Horrible experience and even worse customer service.
My 5-year-old’s Modak card was left at the mall on 12/30 and was immediately reported. I was told the card was closed and unusable. A new card and new digital numbers were issued that same day.
Authorized Amazon purchases were made on 01/02 and 01/03 using the new digital card — those show correctly in the transaction history.
Then, at midnight on 01/04, an unauthorized charge of $20.43 appeared. We did not approve this. My child is 5 and cannot make purchases without a parent.
When I contacted customer service to dispute it, I was told the charge was “authorized.” They then claimed it was authorized on 12/25, which makes no sense — that was the day my child received her first card and no purchases were made. That original card was also reported lost and closed on 12/30.
There is no explanation for how a charge could post on 01/04 from a card that was supposedly closed, yet customer service refused to take responsibility.
Due to the contradictions, lack of accountability, and poor support, I am reporting Modak to the appropriate consumer protection agencies and removing all of my children’s funds from this platform.
I would not recommend this service to any parent.

Originally i got the card for my oldest, and then we added my middle child and now my youngest one has one. We love that we can keep track of their spending habits and they can see how much they earn in chores and extras on their own phones. And the help desk has been fantastic for the few times ive had to use it due to lost/stolen cards. They were quick to respond and very helpful on making sure the stolen cards were deactivated and that their money was safe.
No communication
I got my kiddo a card, for some reason the company mailed out a new card that we never received. Found out my old address was still on the account. We tried the crappy chat system you guys have and have never received a response or email. We are not finding a way to update or mailing address. We have tried to contact the company to have a new card mailed out to us and we needed 2 of them since my daughter lives in 2 different homes. There needs to be a better system with communicating and if there is a way to get a response.

Card was great, app was neat but then I was charged 5 times for an auto recharge and turns out there's no real customer service. Should have checked the reviews I suppose

Great App! All four kids and this mom is loving the app and the straightforwardness. Its simple and uncomplicated unlike some other financial apps. The support has been great so far with questions. I would recommend giving Modak a shot!
