Hard to contact, no customer empathy

Sent shoes with a design fault, couldn't get vendor to agree to supply a return postage label. After numerous attempts to contact gave up and returned at own cost. No refund after over a month. Managed to contact and they stated store credit only due to >30 day return period, despite the fact that their slow responses were the main cause of the delay. Store credit no use to me, disputed CC transaction.

Buyer beware

I ordered some trainers and received the invoice. 2 days later I received this e-mail. Due to an unforeseen inventory error, we are currently unable to supply the following item:

I asked for a refund and have sent an e-mail twice now with no response.
Website chat line also not responding
I will raise a dispute with my credit card company.

Buyer beware.

Placed order for homeyped shoes on…

Placed order for homeyped shoes on December 12 2025 received nothing . $101 gone never recieved any shoes .
Impossible to follow up with them 9 yes 9 emails sent nothing back , called the number just silent on the other end, love chat tells me we’ll get back to you . Do. It shop with MODE ever 😡

Not hassle free returns - faulty product

Purchased a pair of Dr. Martens that were clearly faulty/poor quality straight out of the box, took photos and emailed customer service straight away, they charge $14.95 for a return label, however because the product is faulty and not due to change of mind or incorrect size they should pay for the return label, have called and emailed and they keep saying it has been forwarded to management and they will call, highly doubt that, customer service is very unprofessional and I wish I had seen these reviews before using Mode Footwear, just hoping I can get my refund. Do not purchase from Mode Footwear.
It’s also very misleading that their website states “hassle free returns” and that they have “prepaid return labels” because you have to purchase the label which is not the definition of prepaid.

Happy Customer, will re-order!

Purchased a pair last year January 2024. No dramas, shoes fitted perfectly. Over a year in, needed a new pair. Ordered but unfortunately didn't fit properly. Sent them back and got a refund shortly after. I'm shocked with all the negative reviews.

Untrustworthy-problem getting refunds

I have found Mode Footwear to be very untrustworthy. Exercise caution buying from them online . After returning a $200+ pair of doc martens over a month ago they still haven’t refunded my money despite several emails and phone calls. When you call them they say they will refund but they don’t. Please read all the reviews on this company before making your purchase. There is a problem not issuing refunds. They do not do the right thing by the customer from my experience . I have logged a complaint with PayPal on this matter and will keep following up until my money is returned. It has however been a very frustrating and stressful experience which hopefully this review will prevent others from having to go through.

Good product and experience.

Homyped Superwalk Lace Womens Supportive Shoes: I placed my order before looking up reviews for this company. It was disconcerting to find so many negative posts. After not getting a tracking number within a few days of paying, I was worried I may have been scammed. When I called the company, the phone was answered immediately. The lady told me they had a backlog of orders and mine was due for dispatch on the Friday (one week after ordering). I called again on Thursday and she confirmed Friday dispatch. To my delight, I received an Auspost notification on that same afternoon. My shoes were delivered today ( Tuesday) so 11 days from order to receipt. The shoes came in an original Homyped box and appear to be a genuine product. After my initial concerns, I am pleasantly surprised.

Still waiting on refund!

I returned (confirmed) boots over 2 weeks ago and and still waiting on the refund. Dealing with this company is painful and frustrating. Do not buy from them unless you are 100% sure you won’t need a refund!

Perfect Customer Experience!

The pricing was incredibly reasonable - my new Dr Martens came packaged to perfection and arrived really quickly.

I didn’t see any other customer feedback until after I had purchased. My experience was very different from others reviews thankfully. I’m not sure what or if anything has changed since those past experiences and I was just lucky to receive the service I did - but whatever ensured this particular service for my purchase, please keep that up! It’s the best way to regain customers trust and retain any new customers purchasing from your website. As a new customer myself, I do plan to purchase from here again.

Mode turns an internet 'search' into a purchase without your consent

Mode is a sister company to Brand House Direct, I did not know this. I was online on 3 sites looking up a pair of shoes (Naot) and comparing prices, shipping costs and returns information, I saw Mode and found the shoes quickly, I then looked at 'view cart' and saw them there, the only option after 'view cart' was 'checkout' which on every other site I've used takes me to the checkout which shows the shipping costs, allows discount codes to be entered, and is where i put my details like my address and how I will pay. However, not on Mode, on Mode I got a message saying "Your order has been processed". I thought it was a scam it couldn't be correct, then I saw my street address flash up with a screen showing a google maps shot and also my credit card details (neither of which I had entered into the computer, and I had never purchased with Mode before). I was in a panic. I saw poor reviews online and wished I'd searched before. Only an email existed so I phoned Brand House Direct the next day, the lady said she couldn't help and told me to email, this is despite a clear request for my money refunded. I emailed with details much like the above, and I got an email back saying "Please explain how I can have you" not even a proper sentence. It is unlawful to deduct money and obtain credit card details and guess a person's address for a purchase which they did not consent to, who in their right mind would think a company could guess their details?? I wrote back "Please read my email" and wrote in very simple terms, given my first email was obviously not understood, that I want a refund, I want to know how my details were gained and why an order was generated without my consent without me entering in anything about myself. Very disappointed and already knowing I will have to take this further.

Update (less verbose) - after searching the ceo email online then guessing part of it I emailed the ceo and my money was then refunded.

Never buy off this company

Never buy off this company, I ordered on line they sent the wrong size,I then had to pay postage to return item, then the fun started, you can only contact them via email and they don’t listen to you in the emails, generic reply’s knowbody wants to call you finally get a ph Nu to call them knowbody calls back, most frustrating un professional company I have ever dealt with
No customer service and are pathetic to deal with 0/10 due experience pls stay away from this company its a night mare

I placed an order 10 days ago which…

I placed an order 10 days ago which still hasn't been shipped. Contacted customer service which was useless. They just kept saying 'sorry about that'.

Customer service team from overseas and do not listen.

Since my order has not been shipped I requested a refund which the business will not allow. I so WISH I had seen all their terrible reviews before purchasing.

If I could give 0 stars I would.
