The experience was very efficient

The experience was very efficient, from ordering to delivery. The bed itself is exactly as described, and looks stunning as well as being super comfy.
Communication was good from supplier and courier who kept me up to date with delivery times, and was punctual

Great all round

Very easy to order from, delivery was in 3-5 days and the driver kept me upto date throughout so perfect if your like me and not wanting to wait around. Quality of this bed for the price is of a good quality I was really impressed with it we also purchased the pillow top mattress which is one of the best nights sleep I've had. Overall putting the bed up was straightforward and very sturdy. I would definitely recommend this company for your next bed purchase!!

Divan bed base

We received our bed base and are pleased with its performance. We would have preferred to have help with taking it up the stairs to our room, and for the delivery not to be so early. The actual order to delivery went very smoothly and we would recommend Modern Beds.

In addition to my review on 24th September.

My partner wrote an accurate review of our position with our compliant thus far to date however Modernbeds.co.uk keep removing the reviews as the order was made under my name. This was even after the reviews accuracy was verified by trust pilot. After 10 days saying our refund had been processed and at “the maximum” it would be back in my partners account within 7 days we still have not received our refund. If there is an excuse to be made then this company will make it…

My partner has emailed them again this morning (11/11/2021) asking where our refund is. I can hand on heart say I have never been messed around by a company so much. They respond to reviews with inaccuracy. What’s also interesting is no one “employee” ever deals with you. What’s also interesting is the multitude of positive reviews they get hi-lighting the particular point that someone has commented negatively about that prior. I’d be interested for trust pilot to look into the legitimacy of these. All we want is our money back. If this company were as good at customer service as they say they are then they would be doing everything they can to get me the money I spent with them back to me.

I will keep writing honest reviews on my experience with this company until the nightmare is over. I have full evidence to support this. (Wouldn’t surprise me if they stop emailing me back) If the issue is not resolved by tomorrow I have already been in contact with my solicitor and will be commencing legal action.

Really pleased with my purchase from…

Really pleased with my purchase from modern beds. The delivery time was a little later than it suggested it would be on the website, however this was only 1 week later. Was given plenty of notice for delivery and then given a time slot on the day of delivery. Really pleased with the bed. Seems to be made well, looks lovely and mattress is very comfy.

An update on my review from the 29th…

An update on my review from the 29th September.

After having no other choice but to cancel my order after waiting for it for over 3 weeks with excuse after excuse I have been told a week ago now that my refund would take a week at the most to process. I still have not received a refund or my money back.

The company have responded to my previous review saying Trust Pilot are investing it as I have “spammed them” yes Trust pilot have investigated it and VERIFIED my review as I have all the evidence to prove the terrible customer service.

I will keep writing truthful and honest reviews about my experience while I am being continued to be treated so disgracefully.

P.S the company keeps trying to say I’ve had previous reviews taken down (I haven’t) they have all been verified and trust pilot are welcome to investigate any review I write as I have all the evidence to support what I’m saying. From the companies responses to other peoples reviews they seem to have a habit of not taking ownership of their poor service and trying to bend the truth making the customers to look bad.

Never again

Never again. Website is misleading. I ordered a bed with clearly stated floor standing headboard. I was disappointed when I received a normal headboard, aplenty it was my fault as I was meant to know that I had to order differently to get the floor standing headboard. Customer service is shocking. Telling me the only way I can get a refund as I’m unhappy with my purchase is to take the bed back to the warehouse myself.
The bed wasn’t cheap and I haven’t got what I wanted.

I am sorry but if you check your order and the order confirmation email that you received from us, you selected the 24" headboard and not the 54" floor standing headboard. This divan bed is available in 2 different headboard sizes, and you selected the wrong one unfortunately.

We have tried to assist by even offering the 54" headboard at a discounted rate. As you wanted to return the item ASAP we gave you our return address, as you were not happy with the collection timescale that we offered you.

OMG! I LOVE THIS BED.

OMG!! I LOVE THIS BED. We ordered the SuperKing its lovely, was worried buying a bed without trying for comfort but I'm so glad I did it's so comfy and high, headboard and footboard look amazing, quality is good and sleeping well. This bed is amazing! Definitely recommend it.

Cheap beds that will break within months

I purchased a divan base and matching headboard for my 14 year old daughter in February, delivered March. I wasn't impressed with the cheap flimsy construction of the bed at that point but we were in lockdown, there were no shops open and I didn't have a choice but to keep it.
By June the bed base had completely broke after one night my husband sat on the bed, next to my daughter. I wanted a refund but since it was more than 2 weeks since the bed was delivered, they would only offer a replacement, so I had to take that grudgingly. Within 2 weeks the replacement bed also broke, when my daughter had her friend stay over the night. These beds are just not built to take the weight of more than one average person at a time. I had to fight to get a refund, and they only gave in once I threatened to make a claim through my bank, claiming it was more than 2 weeks since I bought the bed (technically I only had the replacement bed 2 weeks). I wanted the headboard returned with the bed since I purchased these together, so gave the base and the headboard to the delivery driver when collecting. They have since refunded the base but not the headboard and now claim they do not have the headboard and won't refund my money. I had months of hassle and am still out £120.
Bottom line, these are cheap, nasty beds that won't last. Don't waste your money buying, go to a local shop instead.

In response to the comment about the bed breaking in an unnatural way, I have never heard such drivel in my life. My daughter weighs 9 stone. My husband 14 stone and her friend also about 9 stone. If lying on a bed is unnatural then these beds are absolutely not fit for purpose. Buy elsewhere or regret it months down the line. Also nothing but thieves, accepting return of the headboard then claiming they never received it.

As stated via email we inspected both of the beds that came back to us and both were damaged in an unnatural way. Yet we still provided a replacement and then issued a full refund.

You agreed to keep the headboard via email, and therefore we only arranged the collection of the bed with the couriers. You only told us about the headboard a few days after collection. The couriers checked their paperwork and spoke to the driver, and he confirmed only the bed was returned. Your paperwork as well showed only the bed was collected.

We have tried our best to assist with this.
