Last year, we decided to have PV panels and a battery backup system fitted. We had two possible strategies, featuring either a roof or a garden installation and approached different companies for a quote. Straight away, it became apparent that Mole Energy had a grip on the requirements and were the only company to see why a roof mounted system was the only feasible option. Their quote was clear, easy to understand and although it was not the lowest, it was very competitive and it was the best presented, giving us confidence that it would met our needs. The site survey confirmed the proposal and their surveyor explained what the installation would entail and where the equipment would be sited and why.
The actual installation only took one day and was carried out in a very capable manner by technicians, who clearly knew exactly what they were doing. Beforehand, I had concerns because we had a slate roof but there were no issues at all. Shortly after the work was done, we received all the necessary paperwork and certificates to connect our system to the grid, as well as an insurance policy to cover us for the guarantee.
A few weeks later, Mole Energy returned to fit a Tesla Powerwall 2. Again it was fitted in a very professional manner and the operation of the battery was explained to us and the use of the app to control the unit was demonstrated.
After installation, I switched the system to self-contained while our supplier completed the admin to switch us to an export tariff. We ran for over a week, taking no electricity at all from the grid, but rather producing a surplus, despite some fairly indifferent weather.
In summary, we are very satisfied with our installation, in terms of the performance of the components recommended by the company, the service provided by their office staff and by quality and professionalism of their technicians.

You hear lots of solar companies about with all sorts of offers and its important to do your home work , we are so pleased that we picked a local company in Mole Energy Limited , we went with 10 panel array with the Tesla power wall battery, as we have a lot of power cuts in our village . We had to wait, however not too long as they were busy, ALL staff were excellent , helpful, respectful and delivered 1st class service and good quality products . Thank you

We had a scary experience a couple of weeks ago when I heard an enormous crash, but could not find anything wrong in the house. In the morning we discovered our solar panel system’s inverter had fallen off the garage wall! It could have caused major injury had anyone been walking past it, so luckily this had happened at night.
Jo at Mole energy was extremely kind and helpful, even though this was a busy Saturday when we begged for emergency help! She managed to get Matt here later that same morning to refix the inverter back on the wall and check over the whole system before assuring us all was well.
We are so grateful to Jo and Matt for putting us back together and giving us peace of mind; many thanks to everyone for a truly professional response.

customer service absolutely sucks. Follow-up on requests is none existent. I've contacted mole energy twice through mole valley farmers (agent). .installation was not a good experience either installers have an attitude. sales are good though mole energy

I have been very pleased with Mole Energy both in terms of the installation of solar panels and Tesla Powerwall batteries and in the after care customer service. I have had a Tesla battery issue & Mole Energy were on it right away when I contacted them & replaced the battery as directed by Tesla.
Installation team of our panels and Tesla battery were first class and the scaffolding team. However the communication from Mole is terrible. Always had to chase up emails with phone calls and these were often not returned. I appreciate that they are busy but this does not help the customer. Now on Sat our solar panels stopped charging. They were installed last Aug. The Solar Edge inverter had a red light and flashing green & blue. Contacted them yesterday, Mon, as no out of hours!!!!! Someone was meant to call me back. At lunchtime today, Tues, had to call again. Apparently someone needs to come out. The wait is 4-6 weeks. This is not acceptable as we are losing a lot of money. Very unhappy about this and would certainly not recommend Mole Energy to anyone due to their terrible customer service & aftercare.

We started looking into solar energy at the beginning of 2022. Our initial experiences, with predominantly local companies, weren't good; lots of promises and no action.
Then we approached Mole Energy. They were upfront about how busy they were. We went into a queue for a phone appointment and that took about 5 weeks to happen. That call was very encouraging. We explored what sort of system we wanted and were given a price subject to survey. The survey was fine and when the surveyor was on site we were able to agree changes to our panel layout. Panel installation was completed on schedule in October 2022. The only minor hiccup we had was that the changes to the panel layout the surveyor agreed with us hadn't been passed on to the installation team. A phone call and a discussion quickly resolved that.
We knew from day one of our order that the Tesla battery wouldn't be installed at the same time as the panels. It finally arrived 4 months after the panels, so a little longer than the original 3 months that Mole had hoped for at the beginning of 2022. We had updates from Mole that reassured us that our deposit was safe, and that Tesla were working to schedule with the backlog.
We were happy with the payment schedule. 25% on contract signing, 50% when the panels were installed and the remaining 25% when the installation was completed.
The system is great. Already at the beginning of March we have had a week where we took hardly anything from the grid. It is very satisfying to see how the solar and the battery are powering the house for much of the day.
All the staff at Mole are friendly, professional and helpful. We are very happy we chose them and are happy to recommend them.
Adrian and Matt came and installed our Tesla Powerwall and Zappi yesterday. Adrian had already been very helpful during the site survey. They were both extremely professional and meticulous and the handover was very clear. We couldn’t recommend Mole Energy highly enough!
Accidently unpaired the Harvi from the Zappi I bought from Mole Energy and needed help but it wasn't urgent. They could not be more helpful. Crystal and Joanne in the office were quick to respond to my calls for help and engineer Adrian soon came round and sorted the problem out in no time and also showed me a couple of pointers in using the Zappi to its full effect that I did not know about. Excellent customer service from everyone would recommend anyone to use Mole Energy.
Within the constraints of industry-wide supply chain issues, they gave an excellent service and Matt and Adrian dealt impressively with a relatively complicated cabling and then the installation of our Powerwall
We recently had our 5.8kwp solar edge system with 10kw battery installed. Everything was held up due to finding a bat whilst we re-roofed the property prior to the solar install - the people at Mole were always patient and charged us the original amount despite us causing them a 3 month delay which was beyond our control.
A speedy and very tidy installation was done when they said they would do it and we are extremely happy with the outcome. I’m loving the app that shows what’s going on with the system. Well done guys!
The waiting list was long, but we finally had our Tesla Powerwall 2 installed today. Matt and Adrian were fantastic: knowledgeable, friendly, able to answer all our questions, and set the system up exactly as we wanted. Couldn't have been better!
We had our solar system installed in March this year and would advise anyone thinking of getting them now to invest in a battery as well. We have a solar edge battery as the wait for the Tesla’s one was too long for us to contemplate. Although an added expense we are reaping the benefit of having stored electricity available to use overnight. We have hardly used energy from the grid since installation and so the outlay has been well worth it. We have the inverter and battery located in our garage and the installers from Mole energy did a very neat job with minimal disruption to us. We had to wait quite a while for the installation date as they were very busy. We would highly recommended this company.

I have now been waiting some months for a tesla battery to be installed. I have been chasing up each time it's near to possible installation which is annoying as nothing comes from mole.
Ive been told it will be installed June, July, August and now October.
I was told that as soon as I paid the huge 50% deposit I would get a date but this clearly is not what's happening.
I'm wondering who is getting the work done? Those with larger orders?
Although staff are plesant on the phone there has been no formal explanation given and I'm apparently not allowed to speak directly to the operations team so any thing I do get is third hand.
I'm annoyed I paid my 50% deposit in good faith in early May and still have no guarantee the will even be done, and no formal explanation or apology.
