This company somehow obtained both my bank details and email. I have had to report fraud on my account and cancel my cards etc. This has been a massive inconvenience to me and I, like others here, am absolutely furious.

Disgraceful companies like this are still allow to operate. I took out extended warranty for my BMW through BMW Insured Warranty which in turn appear to use this company (appears as Mondial Assistance on my bank statement). Payment taken, policy wasn't issued resulting in my losing my car as I couldn't afford to keep it on the road due to work needed on it.
Shame on you for treating honest people this way.

Tried and failed to set up a direct debit on my account. Phoned the bank and all cancelled.

Fraudulent - I received an e-mail from my bank alerting me to this new direct debit which I knew nothing about. Now cancelled

Like others here, my bank alerted me to Mondial trying to set up a direct debit on my account, which was fraudulent. Luckily the swift action of my bank allowed me to cancel it before any funds were taken. The financial ombubsman needs to take action against them!

I'd never heard of Mondial Assistance until they set up a direct debit on my bank account. Luckily Barclays alerts enabled me to cancel it before any money was taken.

I got an email from my bank on September 9th saying a direct debit had been set up with MONDIAL ASSISTANCE UK. I never set this up and have never heard of this company. Fortunately because my bank alerts me to new direct debits I cancelled it immediately but it concerns me you had my details and set this direct debit up without any instructions from me to do so.

On the 16 September 2019 I found on my bank account statement a Direct Debit, £43.68 taken from my account by an unrecognised recipient. Checking with my bank, they identified the recipient as Mondial Assistance, Allianz. I never had any dealings with this company, never gave my bank details to this company and never set up a Direct Debit. Perhaps a responsible person from Allianz could offer me some explanation?!
I cancelled the direct debit and my bank confirmed that the money will be refunded.
Had a direct debit notification come though this morning. But I've not signed up to anything for months. Utterly discraseful! Anyway I've cancelled and email them and will be onto trading standards and the FCA's as soon as they respond.

In the United States, this company would have been shut down for fraud. They show no interest in processing my claim, it has been five months and they are still processing it. When I call, they tell me that all the documents have been received...many of which I had to send twice for some reason. When I ask why it hasn't been processed yet, they say because I'm missing documents...yet when I tell them that they just told me I submitted all the documents, they say something in broken French/English, then say it is still being processed.
My only recommendation is: NEVER book Mondial Assistance Insurance when traveling to Disneyland Paris. It is a complete waste of your money! Unfortunately I had to cancel our trip to Paris in November/2017 since my daughter got a very contagious virus and was unable to fly and - even though I sent ALL required documents for the cancellation a couple of days after cancelling the trip - I still haven't received any reimbursement from Mondial Insurance. It's been 4 months now, never seen anything like this. Don't waste your money or time with Mondial Assistance!!
I gave it 1 star, because there is not -1 available. This company is a FRAUD. They had over 500 millions profit in 2016 and read what they do to their clients!!! They shouldn't be allowed to operate in the European Union. They do not comply with consumer rights! Having a travel insurance with Mondial Assistance and have no insurance at all, is exactly the same!
This is the worst experience with flight insurance I've ever had and Air Transat France is stupid for employing their services. My father passed away and I had to immediately book a flight back home ten days earlier than planned. The phone operators were totally unhelpful, and their services in English are 100% useless. I just needed to cancel my departure flight and keep my return flight but they couldn't help with such a simple request. Beware and don't waste your money on this "insurance" scam.
According to my Volkswagen dealer, they used Mondial Assistance as the insurance company when I took out some service insurance as part of buying a car from them. Remember, I'm talking about an insurance company here, and they are all good at finding ways of not paying claims. But this one went further, they set up a process designed to trap the customer in advance. Here's how. You sign an agreement at the dealership, then a month later, you're sent a letter confirming the insurance. On the back of it, they list conditions in small print by which the insurance is invalid if you break any of them. But they're not discussed at the time of signing. This is not open and fair disclosure. To be legally binding, I should have been required to actively acknowledge agreement of the newly presented conditions, but Mondial figures that by saying nothing, you've accepted them. In fact, their scam depends on it. Sure enough, the first time I needed some servicing done under the warranty insurance, Mondial refused to cover the cost, saying I had broken one of the conditions, the ones I wasn't aware of, and which I could easily have met had I been aware of them. They simply left the dealership and myself to sort it out. We shared the service costs. Mondial should have covered them, and they know it. What's doubly infuriating is there is no discussion with them. You pay them money, via the dealership, and rather than pay out on a policy, they keep it simply by deciding for themselves that they can. I have a hard time discerning the difference between what they do and outright theft.
