Impossible to submit a claim, because the page that is refered to in the contract (indemnisation.mondial-assistance.fr) returns an error message. No way to contact them to have this fixed through email.
I'm trying to submit my claim from another European country, so I would prefer the web portal over calling.
We have purchased a kitchen in 2020 from Schmidt Group with a 5-year warranty provided by Mondial Assistance. The warranty was ending on Sunday April 20th 2025. We had an issue with the hood that did not start on Saturday 19th at 06:00PM when preparing dinner. I checked the opening hours and the assistance I was supposed to call was closed, so I had no other option than to wait. I was only able to tall to them on Tuesday (easter Monday and it was also specified on Terms and Conditions that it was closed).
They replied that they would not take care of the problem because the warranty is now over. Despite the fact that they have a legal obligation to extend the warranty until assistance call center opens (at least in French law), they do not accept to take care of the repairment.
Incredibly bad experience. I cannot even describe how bad my experience was and still is with their Greek branch. I was recently in a trip to Bali with my wife for our honeymoon, where my wife had to be rushed to the hospital (where she was hospitalized for 3 nights in the intensive unit and 2 nights in a normal ward). Very unprofessional, unresponive with no ability to understand human pain or suffering. They just look for ways to avoid coverage. End-up paying more that EURO 10k myself. Do not trust this insurance.

Again set up a direct debit NOT authorised by the account holders. Terrible company just look at the reviews. Submitted a claim of fraud against them. Unlawful company!

If I could give them 0 stars I would! I had a minor incident with my carrental over 2 months ago and I put in my claim over around 500.- Euro immediatelly to Mondial. I am still waiting!! Nobody on phone can tell me more than "it is under review", also online it says that since months. I have not been reimbursed a penny and I can't talk to anybody, to find out what is going on. I feel this insurance is a scam!!! Don't even bother to sign up with them. The worst is, it seems to be connected to ALLIANZ INSURANCE, which is one of the BIGGEST in the world! This just tells me, to also stay away from Allianz in the future!

Avoid them at all costs. Had a travel insurance with them however when I emailed them back to cancel it and get a refund they completely ignored me. I have tried to contact them several times but they still chose not to answer my emails or texts. This is what’s called robbery, worst experience you can possibly have.

A direct debit was set up without my consent or authorisation by this company. It is clear that this company are allowing and sanctioning a scam based on a loophole that they refer to in their responses to the multiple reviews reflecting on said scam. It is unacceptable that they appear to be sending a stock response to this scandalous attempt to defraud.

I have just noticed that this company have set up a ddr on my bank account. I have now cancelled it. How can you do this. I am mortified Like others I had to look you up to see what you do. I feel like I have been a victim of some attempted scam. No money has been taken from my account yet. I am so annoyed.

I have just taken over my mother-in law's finances and see there is a DD to this company. The net tells me they do car & travel insurance, which considering she has never had a car and hasn't travelled for years, due to her age and infirmity, seems very odd. I will be contacting Barclays and asking for a refund! How can they do this?

I got an email from this company telling me I was getting a refund. I traced the email address to this company and phoned them to ask why I was getting a refund when I was never a customer. They asked for my email address to look into it. After a few minutes they wanted my home address and bank details. At this point I told them I wasnt giving those details out over the phone to a company I do not do business with and I hung up the phone. It is listed as a real company but they come off as scammers. Needless to say do not give them your personal or bank details.
I live in Ireland.

Scammers AWP Assistance Ltd setup direct debit on my bank account when I’ve never even heard of them or transacted with.
This is probably the biggest scam of the century, seeing how many people have complained about this and it’s still happening.
They’re exploiting a loop hole in the direct debit system which needs to be plugged!

Terrible scam insurance company. We paid for full car insurance and they refused to pay the claim for a stain on the car seat! Stay away from this company!!!
I had money taken from my account by this company in the form of a direct debit. I have never heard of them or had anything to do with them.
Their ridiculous response was:
" Hi Deborah,
We are so sorry that our service was not satisfactory on this occasion. From time to time we update the originator names for direct debit payments, although we always endeavour to communicate this clearly to our customers. In case the cause of your concern is related to one of these updates, please check any communications you have received from us for more details. If this is not the case, or if you have any further questions, please get in touch with us on (their phone number - allegedly!!) or (their email address - allegedly!!))

It's been 5 months now since I filed a claim (mailing all requested documents to the Paris office because it covered travel purchased thru a French travel agency), plus another mailing with my bank information for a refund of approx 150 euros, such bank information already included in initial document).
To this day no resolution, so I will place again that call to Paris. Money worth the frustration and time spent collecting documents, cost of mailing, etc...I am very doubtful now, but I will never book a trip again with any compay using Mondial Assistance.

Who is this company? Never heard of them until a fraudulent direct debit appeared on my account. I can’t afford losing money. I rang my bank immediately, cancelled and got my money returned under their DD guarantee. Alerted the fraud department too

Hi, I just received an email from my Bank stating that a direct debit has been set up with a company called AWP ASSISTANCE UK LTD. I absolutely never gave permission for such a direct debit to be set up and immediately deleted it. Have no idea how this happened and would be grateful for any information as to how it did.
