Their design is amazing and their initial customer service was great. That being said they were untruthful in how they would protect books with packaging. The posted publicly on their instagram that they would package well. They ship their books with zero padding. The books are shrink wrapped then wrapped in a single layer of cardboard (not a box, cardboard envelope). From Germany to US. 1 of my 2 books arrived damaged and I have reached out for a replacement on 02/20/26. As of 03/01/26 there has been no response. I’ve seen 100’s of people in FB groups raise the same concerns and advise that the company refuses to take accountability.

Be very careful with this company! I am not one to leave reviews but my experience is the same as other 1 star reviews. I had high hopes and placed multiple orders based on influencers praising them but it’s been nothing but a bad experience! Save yourself the headache and avoid them. Their customer service was friendly until something went wrong, then no accountability. The first order was damaged in transit with nothing remaining but the label attached to a piece of cardboard. They said they would file a claim with the shipper and things would be resolved in 3-7 days, but after a month with no progress, the shipper confirmed no claim was ever filed and Moonlight Books refused to provide a claim number or any evidence that it was actually filed. I called them out on the situation and they then emailed me saying they would not tolerate being accused of dishonesty, were ending the business relationship and would “cancel and refund all orders in full without delay”. I had already requested this be done the week before with no response. Well, I never heard from them again, no refunds were sent, instead they created a tracking number for other orders but never shipped them. I emailed them again trying to get it resolved and letting them know I would give it another 5 days before going to the bank but nothing. Now I’ve had to resort going to the bank to file a claim, which they are also trying to dispute claiming they are legally not obligated to issue the refund they already stated they would (and as we all know, are in fact legally obligated to). I suspect as others do that the happy customers are influencers bribed to post good reviews because that was not my experience at all!
