Watch is not fit for purpose rarely…

Watch is not fit for purpose rarely able to make calls or text, app is glitchy at best and only way to use functionality. Sadly this has not provided a solution to reliably keep track and contact kids. Customer service non existent - no response in 3 days. Hidden charges when signing up to a monthly contract. No way of cancelling as haven’t responded to emails to date, no live chat function as promised in the packaging. Seems this company used to be good, but something is very wrong at the moment. Poor customer service and watches being sold at discount possibly suggests the company is in trouble

Would give zero stars if possible.

Please, please, please don’t buy - customer service is non existent. Not sure if they’ve gone bust but happy to take money and not reply to messages. See they’re asking people to email them on here with information - we have done that and there’s no response!

We have spent over £150 on watches and contracts on two unusable watches. The app is slow and it is impossible to make or receive calls.

Absolutely disgusted.

Unable to activate and no reply

My mam bought this for my son for hid bday. I tried to activate sim and buy a plan but it won't let me continue to payment page. I've emailed CS and not had any response. So now my little boy has a present he can't use. I want somebody from the CS department to contact me ASAP as he's going away soon and I will have no contact with him.

Absolute rubbish

Absolute rubbish. Bought a kids smartwatch. 89euro. Didn't realise it has a built in Moochie chip and you have to use their network for a min 10e a month. Absolutely useless it is. Phone never works. Navigation always incorrect. Avoid at all costs.

Maybe a scam company

Been paying a plan for nine months and haven’t been able to receive or make calls from the watch. The GPS has had me in a state of panic, showing up that my son is on a nearby motorway miles from our home, when in fact he’s been next door.
Numerous back and fourth with problem solving and yet still paying out every month for not one benefit it states it has. I’m beginning to think this is a scam company

This watch is terrible

This watch is terrible. It does not load properly and does not GPS track accurately. We are constantly having to turn it off to reset it to get it working again. The APP freezes and the watch is intermittent in working and receiving calls and texts. This is the second watch we have tried for Moochies, both with problems. I bought this as a gift for our 8 year old to assist with independence and it has been terrible. I would not buy this product again.

Avoid!

Bought a watch a year ago for 8 year old child. It would not work, would not find a network, then sent a replacement. This worked for about a day then got stuck with not updating to the app. The App would not update from the last GPS position or the the date. It also allowed any mobile number to contact the watch which is very security. Moochies customer service did respond which is why I have given one star. However they continually told me they were awaiting an update from the IT department. They continued to take the monthly payment for the SIM so every month for 9 months I had to ask for a refund of the SIM and for an update only to be told that IT were still working on it. Eventually I emailed and pointed out that I had never heard of an IT department taking so long. Given that the watch was purchased via Amazon it was now too late for a refund and my child was still desperate for it to work. Moochies then made the “exception” and sent me a replacement. Quite shocked that theu deemed themselves to making an exceptional gesture when their product quite honestly terrible and they would have happily kept all my SKM payments while knowing the watch was not working. The replacement came two weeks ago. The set up email did not include a phone number so I had to chase that, then the watch could not find a network so Moochies told me to connect to WiFi only, which would mean the watch did not work outwith the WiFi area. Then the app would not read the QR code! I was then told to send a video of the app trying to read the QR code, the video was rejected by Moochies twice for being to long, even once reduced to 4 seconds. When I pointed this out Moochies asked for my original proof of purchase. I sent this and asked for a refund as clearly their technology has some major issues and I have now seen so many other poor reviews. Moochies informed me that no they would not refund and they have a 30 day returns policy! I have pointed out that I have waited so long as I trusted that they were discussing the issue with IT but they are not interested. I would absolutely avoid this product.

Missing phone number... No help

My son received a moochies watch for his birthday, I followed the instructions and purchased a sim deal online and downloaded the app on my own phone for him. It took 3 days to connect to the network on the watch... I also received an email with his "phone number" and where the number should have been it was blank so I still do not have a phone number for the watch and therefore it can't be used. I have emailed the company as there is no customer services number to ring for help and I feel I will be waiting a long time for a reply which I'm pretty annoyed about considering I just paid £22.50 for the sim. If this isn't resolved I will be cancelling this with my bank and returning the watch. What a disappointment, he was delighted to get it as well 😠

If you are considering this device for your child, DON’T it’s the worst thing we have purchased and causing more stress than necessary for our little one who still can’t contact mum and dad!

Complete waste of money

Complete waste of money, SIM card still not active even after month. No way we can cancel the plan. Still deducting money for the service not even provided. Watch only work on wifi. Completely useless.

Terrible product, don't bother. Ours is going in the bin.

We bought the Moochies Odyssey watch for our daughter for a Christmas present thinking it would allow us to keep in touch for pick ups after swimming etc. However..... Its totally unreliable and we have had so many frustrating glitches that we are giving up. Big waste of money and time. The problems range from the location not updating and being stuck in a location in China (when we live in NZ), the microphone not working so needing to factory reset several times to get it going again, the cell reception is terrible so you need to be in good reception or generally outside buildings before it works, the battery goes flat before the end of the day... the list goes on. The help desk is responsive, but there are just too many issues with the watch to bother with. We have lost confidence in being able to actually contact our daughter when we need to so will look at a phone option rather than this. The product should not have been released to the market in this state. Total waste of money. Would put it on trademe but I would feel too guilty selling it to anyone else, so it will go in the bin.

WORST!!

WORST!!! My daughter had it 1-2 days and it was glitching the whole time she would get spammed with blank messages to the point she had to turn the watch off if she got two messages at once it would go unresponsive and she would have to turn it off. It is NOT user friendly you would open something and you can’t get back out of it. So I returned it and asked for refund as my daughter used max two days of credit, gabby and the financial team refused because I didn’t troubleshoot the problem with them first. I am extremely disappointed and now out of pocket for something we can’t even use..
For a product this expensive you would expect it to work. product was awful and the support team don’t help.

DO NOT BUY!!!!

I have had this watch since Dec 23 and have had multiple problems with it. Let customer service know and they say they fixed the problems but a couple of weeks later I am still having the same problem. I have now spent a lot of money on it and will not see it back as they claim to have fixed the problems!! what a joke stay away!!!!

Huge fees and can't navigate your site to find account details

I can not find anywhere on your site, after logging in to my account, to navigate to my actual account details, spend, bank details, sim details. It just seems to be a shop, but I have have logged in to correct email when I set up the account. . Where do I find all these details please.

I am also concerned I'm being charged huge nearly daily fees (very very big fees hundreds of $s a day) for the games use for which I have been give no fee information, and I dont believe they are being used at all. How its being charged and why. This appears fraudulent charging with no advice?

GPS is crazy off contact with watch only works sometimes and the profiles keep deleting off the mymoochies app on their own. Not a reliable device would definitely not recommend to anyone

Highly NOT Recommended

I don’t right reviews and never negative ones but my experience of this device, its functionality and access to Moochies customer services has been terrible.

As a summary:
1. Device location accuracy is completely inaccurate. The location address it gives on my app is not where my child is located
2. The app is clunky and throws you out of views every time I use it
3. When either audio or video calling, you have a max 5mins before it automatically cuts you off/hangs up, regardless of whether you pay for an unlimited plan and may not use this feature. It is not clear if the feature can be altered
4. Any help sections on the websites or socials do not answer a lot of questions and you to go to their Chat function, FB, IG or website as it suggests… which all lead to an email address, as you can’t speak with customer services any other way, which is very misleading
5. To slide the screen from left to right, to access the apps on the watch, is intermittent and slow or does not work, no matter how many times you swipe
6. Regardless of whether you or the watch have a good signal, the connectivity during video/audio calls is terrible
7. When on a video call, the screen on your mobile times out/goes dark whilst you’re on the call, so you have to keep tapping the screen to keep it engaged
8. Due to point number 7, this may be because you only make/receive the call through the app. This is normal for many (well working) apps like WhatsApp for example however, not so much for Moochies
9. On the watch, when in settings, if you need to select ‘OK’ or whatever the option may be, the wording and button/link is so small (even for children’s fingers), it’s really hard to select it
10. I could go on. For the money per device, the cost per month of a subscription and the functionality, you can buy a refurbished Apple Watch, with a warranty, link it to your own phone and it would have all the same functionalities… for less… and it would work.
