Extremely Disappointed!
I am extremely disappointed with my experience with American Dream and MotoAssure regarding a recent claim.
When I filed my claim, the first thing they requested was two years of maintenance history. I promptly provided a Carfax report showing my vehicle's maintenance records. I was then informed that Carfax was not acceptable and that they would only accept paid receipts.
I contacted both my dealership and oil change providers and gathered the requested receipts, which documented regular maintenance, including oil changes approximately every three months. I submitted everything they requested.
Throughout the process, I never received any email confirmation that my claim had been filed. The only way to communicate regarding the claim was by phone. After their review, I was given only a verbal denial. I never received a written explanation, email, or formal denial letter.
When I asked why my claim was denied, I was told it was due to "lack of maintenance." However, when I asked specifically what maintenance was allegedly missing, no one could provide a clear answer. I was simply told the decision was based on their findings.
I also asked whether there was an appeal process and was told there was none. To date, I have received no written documentation explaining the denial, despite repeatedly requesting clarification.
Ironically, while I have not received any written communication regarding my claim, I continue to receive frequent emails and automated calls encouraging me to renew my coverage.
Based on my experience, I strongly encourage consumers to carefully review the claims process, maintenance requirements, and appeal rights before purchasing coverage. Better yet, save yourself the frustration and consider taking your business elsewhere.
