Great customer service
Great customer service, Betty took all my questions over the call and later over multiple emails, spoke to the rental partner and updated me constantly with clarifications. It made it easier to understand the campervan inclusions and specs based on this.

Disappointing Experience but they did redeem themselves
This was by far the most frustrating and disappointing experience we’ve had, leaving a bitter taste just before our holiday. Shortly after booking, the company began offering rates 29% cheaper to new customers. Despite being a returning customer, they refused to honor the lower rate or offer any form of adjustment.
When I decided to cancel, I was charged a staggering US$1,100—losing a $700 deposit and an additional $400 one-way fee. Their justification? The rates were locked and out of their control. No attempt was made to rebook, offer alternatives, or retain customer loyalty. Just a hollow acknowledgment that they “understand if I cancel.”
This experience felt like daylight robbery. They’ve permanently lost a customer. If you choose to use this company, book only a month in advance. Planning ahead with them comes at a high cost—with little to no support when issues arise.
After this review they refunded all the fees. Thats why this review is now 3 stars. That’s redeemed them in my view. Thanks for the action.

We’ve reviewed your booking and understand that it was finalized in September 2024. You contacted us earlier this year after noticing a lower rate for the same rental. We understand how disappointing this must have been, and we regret that we weren’t able to match the reduced price.
Generally, rental rates tend to increase as the pickup date approaches. For one-way rentals in particular, we recommend booking well in advance, as availability is often limited. However, in this instance, a promotional rate became available closer to the travel date, which understandably caused frustration.
We understand the cancellation fees added to your frustration. These charges were applied in line with both the booking terms and the rental provider’s conditions at the time of booking. That said, we acknowledge the outcome was far from ideal. We are currently reviewing all communication related to your case and will follow up with you via email shortly to resolve your concern.
We appreciate your feedback and are genuinely sorry we were not able to provide a better experience in this case.

Clarity could be improved for first…
Clarity could be improved for first time user.
For example as I was going for through the booking process I felt that I needed to be able to see what I was booking before I confirmed to make sure dates were right etc. Just felt I had to go back to check rather than have it clear in front of me.

We rented a 4x4 to explore Fraser Island. Only in the huge contract it was stated that Fraser Island was prohibited for Camperfun 4x4's. We only knew after we booked our 4x4 and could not cancel it.
The 4x4 we rented was a Campervan 4x4; leaking rooftop tens, no proper instruction, no usable watertank, shortage of cutlery, pots, pans, dishes and cups. An no effort at all to solve these problems.

Not worth it
I was given a different motorhome to what I asked for and it was not explained to me where some things were in the vehicle or how they operate, therefore I had problems navigating some things for the first couple of days. Was told the heater worked and it didn't. The tires were nearly bald. When I returned the motorhome they charged me nearly $1000 for a couple of minor surface scratches that I didn't do. I will never hire a motorhome again. The only good thing about it was that it drove really well but it's not worth the hassle.
