Hired from Indie Campers Chicago
Hired from Indie Campers Chicago. Multiple issues with camper during trip and awful customer support including being asked for credit card details at depot (after already having paid for camper online)
Following this we had fraudulent transactions on that card and had to cancel leaving us with no credit card for our holiday.
Would not recommend.

To clarify, Indie Campers required credit card details at pick-up for the bond (security deposit), as outlined in your booking confirmation. This is standard across rental companies. The bond is not an additional charge, but a refundable amount held to cover any incidental costs during the rental, such as damage, traffic violations, tolls, cleaning fees, or other expenses listed in the rental agreement. It is automatically refunded once the vehicle is returned in satisfactory condition, in line with the supplier’s terms.

A complete ripoff
They referred me to Indie Campers, which was a nightmare: websites not working, no response from customer service, a long wait at pickup, approval of late return followed by a rescission that screwed up our last day of vacation, and--the coup de grace--a $1575 charge for a windshield that developed a crack while we were driving where a check of local windshield-repair places gave prices for this of about $400. They told me that the extra $1175 was for "loss of business" whereas they didn't realize that a few minutes earlier an employee had waved his arm across the lot of identical campers packed like sardines saying "it's low season now so we have a lot of campers idle." A complete ripoff.
When I complained to Motorhome Republic they at first said they would look into it but never contacted me back. They've ignored all further attempts by me since them to contact them.
