Not trustworthy, rude and disgusting

The owners name is Adam. I wouldn’t trust a thing he says. He just lies.
We went there to review a car and ended up really liking it — we were ready to commit. But he suggested we sleep on it, which we thought was actually decent of him. The next people weren’t even due in until around 11:30 the next day, so no pressure, right?
We messaged at 7am to confirm we’d take the car.
He ignored us — and sold it to someone else.
Honestly, I wouldn’t be surprised if he bumped up the price. Who knows with him. Either way, it’s disgusting behaviour. We genuinely loved that car, and it’s not like this is small money for us — so yeah, being told to “sleep on it” felt like a good thing at the time.
Then he comes back with excuses saying the other people drove four hours and he “couldn’t turn them away.” Please. He absolutely could have — and more importantly, he never mentioned any of that the day before. Not a word. So pretty obvious he’s just making it up as he goes.
Smug man. Completely untrustworthy
