They moved me I was not happy with them they damage some of my furniture and lost my garden furniture I phone them to complain to be told they never seen my garden stuff I said they had to climb over it to get to my bathroom cabinet my pet taxi climb over it to go for a wee they lie to me I am so angry I got no garden stuff now for my new place they don't care about customer service don't used them at all

This company deserves zero stars never again! They did a no show and didn’t have a back up plan saying he didn’t know what happened to the driver and he’s trying his best to find another driver . Unprofessional! We were booked for 9:30 and i told tony we only had one hour to get our furniture out of the place we got it from and moving squad was no where to be seen after winz had already paid them out

My partner and brother had to do loads in the car we had no choice . Would never recommend this unprofessional company to anyone

They moved us twice. They took such great care with our things you would think they owned them, themselves! And so very polite and professional.
I can’t say enough praise!

Avoid at all costs.

Their packers did an excellent job packing my house, other than not labelling any of the boxes (so it was a mystery at the other end). The movers, on the other hand, were extremely careless. No effort was made to protect furniture, and most of it was damaged. At one point I noticed that they had put a wooden cabinet from the 1960s on its side directly on the rough concrete driveway before scraping it roughly along the bed of the moving van.

From there, our stuff when into storage. I went to visit the storage facility and was surprised to discover that it was simply a shipping container in a yard, with minimal ventilation and moisture control.

When we were finally able to move, our things turned up with heavy damage from mishandling and complete lack of care (the furniture was dragged along the bed of the truck with no blankets used to protect surfaces- much of it was deeply scraped or had the paint scraped off), and quite a bit of our stuff was covered in mould. We lost vintage furniture, handbags, art, and clothing that was unsalvageable either due to mishandling or mould

Not only that, but the movers also damaged our walls and door frames when moving in.

I documented this and tried to appeal to the manager about the mould, but was told that it was not their problem. He eventually gave me a small discount off the storage cost, but took no responsibility. Their terms and conditions state that items are carried at owners risk, but a degree of care should be expected. The level of negligence on display was unbelievable.

This level of service is utterly unacceptable and anyone considering using this company should look elsewhere. I'd recommend Smart Express instead- in contrast, they moved some furniture and plants for us from another location and took amazing care, and charged similar rates.

Stay away from these people... unprofessional, not respecting the plans (but asking all the money and even more!), rude, aggressive, management who drops the call. All the furnitures are broken, they were not on time and instead of one day they had to do it in 2 days. 1/3 of the men i asked for but the full price. Scam. Fraud. They should close right now.

UPDATE: It is a shame how businesses get their reviews these days. not through honesty. Moving Squad makes customers take down their reviews in order to get compensation for the damages which are non-existent. If someone wants to receive the little compensation they give out, they must take down any review they have on them.

I would never do business with them again.

Wish I could give a better rating as most the move went pretty well.
They did a great job of boxing and taking apart my apartment pretty fast. The movers worked really hard and efficient.
The problem was when we arrived at the location. We have a solid Carrara marble table which we asked them to be very careful with. When they were carrying the table to my house, on of the movers dropped it breaking one end of the table. This got the situation a little tense as they knew this was an expensive piece and we specifically asked them to be careful.
One of them mentioned that whomever dropped it must pay for it or replace it. He also mentioned that management would call me pretty soon to talk about it as he was talking with them on the phone explaining the conversation. The only thing management told them then on the phone was to charge me an extra hour since they got to the building 30 mins later and had to deal with some paperwork at the office due to COVID regulations.

Here is the part that really annoyed me about this company. "Management" never called me, never reached out to ask what happened or how everything else went, they just sent me a generic email with some claim papers.

It is almost a week now and still no one has reached out. Again, this table is worth way more than what I paid for the whole moving services.

If there are no problems or mishaps in your move, then they might be a good company for you, but given moving is already a very stressful situation, and accidents are bound to happen, the least you want is a company that backs they workers and service.

Hoping someone reaches out and tries to make things right.

Please think twice before doing any business with this moving company! After what we went through with them, I genuinely doubt their legitimacy.
Nothing can honestly describe the horrific experience and the trauma we left with after having Moving Squad making our move.
It started by first coordinating our move with Ryan, which calculated our inventory by going room by room, estimated how many movers we need, hours, and gave us an offer.
On the day of the move, the movers were 2 hours late and came short with only two movers instead of 3 as initially agreed. It was already the middle of the day, and from what we understood they finished an earlier move before arriving to do our place. They barely moved stuff; it took them 5 hours to move only boxes! When we called Ryan and raised all those issues and concerns, he directed us to his supervisor and said that he could not help us! Ryan’s supervisor blamed us for having more items in our inventory, which was not true! Ryan was the one who calculated the inventory, not us. Nevertheless, this claim was proven not to be the case later that day. What a terrible customer service!!
Eventually, they decided (not us) to send an additional truck and additional movers and charged us for everything, including additional extra 2 hours, which they didn’t use, and until now they have not refunded us. They requested us to sign a document (Non-disclosure agreement) that meant to keep us silent if we wanted to receive a refund for the 2 hours they charged unlawfully. We, of course, refused to sign this.
The original offer we received from Ryan was $1,058 for three movers and 7 hours. After this terrible experience, we were charged $2,874- 5 movers and 13 hours that in fact worked 2 hours less.
In addition to all of that, they damaged our furniture and our claims were declined. They also forgot to move a huge glass top dining table. We had to find and pay someone else to move it for us after that day.
Please look for a different mover!

DON'T MAKE YOUR MOVE WITH THEM, TRY SOME OTHER COMPANY.
They arrived 25 minutes late, but not on the paper. They finish their job an hour an a half earlier but they stitch me for half an hour by not rounding to the hour.
They damaged a lot of my furniture, they didn't wrapped everything. They were not using the mask although it is mandatory. Steven was really nice when I asked them for a quote, it was my second move with them and I wish I didn't. However, now the client service is just giving me lame excuses no to refund me the exact amount. Steven had not contact me since I started having the refund problem. All I can tell you is you can help it, don't make your move with them. I have move so many times in my life and I know by now how an angry customer like me can make the removal team go ape and try to ask you for extra money behind their bosses back but they all know this. I wish people in this country were more professional but they lack this concept in every sense of the word.
AWFUL, UNPROFESSIONAL, UNRELIABLE, UNTRUSTWORTHY, THIEVES

I will not recommend this company. The guy in Sales department is very nice however the crew came to transport my furniture were very unprofessional. Every single of my furniture was damaged.

Moved stuff right before lockdown and their team went out of their way to accommodate us at short notice which was a relief. They were prompt, efficient and quite easy to deal with.
We used their services a second time after and they were just as accommodating, efficient, communicated clearly and went out of their way again to meet our schedule.
I would highly recommend the Moving Squad to others, Auckland is lucky to have such a professional outfit.

Very professional team. Really moved quickly and were friendly. Only comment I would make is that they should have square or some other way to immediately swipe the credit card and not force us to give the card information to the team on site.

Arrived on time. Was also advised ahead of time when movers were on the way. Crew worked hard the entire time without taking breaks or slacking off. Met expectations. Did not damage furniture or scratch any walls. Very professional.
