I have now used this company twice & both times they were wonderful. The customer service staff & the movers were professional & took care to provide the best service possible.
If I have to move again in the future or if anyone I know needs to move I would not hesitate to recommend The Moving Squad

Movers smelled like alcohol and bad order. Also scratched up my furniture.

They also kept asking for tips during the move. Also, we were missing 1 box which had all our tools.

Use deodorant please.

The service from moving squad was great. This was my 4th time using this company. The sales representative Alex was very helpful and communication was great. They gave me a fair price each time. The staff communicated with me frequently before the move and on the day. The 4 movers that did the heavy work (Anthony & crew) were very respectful and went out of their way to make sure the furniture was not damaged and set up correctly. I definitely recommend this company.

Late 2 hrs still demanded 3 hrs pay for 3 people. 80 percent of the truck already unloaded by my son when they finally showed up. Told me that removing blankets from the furniture was no in their job description. I do not recommend this company

We were drawn to Moving Squad as they had good reviews online and sold us on the fact they weren't a large company. We realized after signing that they are Colonial Van Lines (same physical address). We were passed off to Colonial and our original contacts won't contact us back. It has been a month and we still don't have our items, with no estimated delivery date given. We have been lied to repeatedly from our "account manager", and informed from their finance department that we owed more money before our stuff has even been delivered. The experience has been horrible, and I hope this review will turn people away so they don't have to go through the same nightmare that we are having to go through. Simply do a search for Colonial Van Lines and read reviews. We just hope that we will someday see our belongings again, and they won't be destroyed. DO NOT MAKE THE MISTAKE OF USING THIS COMPANY!

We used these guys to move a 3 bedroom home. The office manager initially was friendly and efficient, then the guys turned up on site. Two in total, a local bro (rude as anything) leading the charge and a foreign assistant. They had no blankets or a single dolly with them. Consequently the fridge was dropped and dragged over the floor, with the floor ending up damaged. The lead mover was rough as guts with our belongings throughout, even the assistant at some point looked shocked. Petitioned the damage with the manager, supplied photo's etc. Their only answer afterwards was that they had spoken to the lead mover - and according to them he said they hadn't caused the damage, even though I held him up about it as he was dragging the fridge over the floor and got them to actually lift it. I told the office manager the same. The office manager kept insisting the damage was our problem and to talk to our insurer. Better be very careful hiring these clowns.

The movers came on time and were very courteous, very nice. The problem is, they were slow and I ended up paying 1200 -- when they'd estimated 350-450. They said it was the rain and the more difficult access to the apartment. That may have been true in part. But that they were unnecessarily slow is also part. In the end we had to clean the walls of the new apt where they had scraped them with furniture. And the washing machine just didn't work -- we had to buy a new one. Again, they arrived on time and were very polite, but they were slow and not always careful. I will not use them for our next move. I will look for a company with a flat rate -- or at least a better estimate.

Terrible service! After confirmation of the booking the movers turned up then decided they wouldn't move our office leaving us in a very bad situation. I tried calling the 'boss' who rejected my calls, have sent several emails with no reply. Would never use again and recommend you don't either. Plenty of other good movers available in Auckland.
Incompetent and unprofessional!

They were the worst movers. Unprofessional. Ask me if they could have some of the wine and beer. Try to cheat me 4 hours into the move, over charge me at the end . When I pack my clothes w the old broken boxes all my clothing fell to the bottom because the cardboard was sooo worn out , missing my 2 laptops. No where to b found ! The worst experience ever !

These movers were on time, professional and neat. Very happy with the services.

The booking was great and also the reminder of the move.
The moving team that came to make the move one never smiled or spoke and the other started out professionally up until he stated asking for tips over and over again very offsetting.I felt I could not give an accurate rating at the time as the driver was adamant that he never gets less than 5. The moving team did not complete putting a shelf back together and seemed in a rush to leave.They received a $60 tip and stated "if that was all". The bad experience is continuing as a scheduled return to complete shelf assemble was cancelled without a call or follow up.

Good. Although, I felt very rushed and they forgot a few Big items (spinning bike is still in my old garage) and a few pieces of my Pilates reformer are missing. I didn’t have a big move, just a bunch of boxes and my spinning exercise bike. The Owner is very nice to work with. The mover’s were nice, but mostly interested in the tip$. Just being honest.

Arrived on time, moved furniture carefully and efficiently, making sure all items were protected, delivered within the time that they estimated, and were very professional. I would not hesitate to use them again or recommend them to others.

The driver and men who moved us were great. Very professional.

These movers did a great moving our furniture down the stairs in our old house and up the stairs in our new house! They were very professional and courteous.

Excellent service before and during the move. I highly recommend this company for a stress free move.
