We’ve recently sold our house through Mr & Mrs Clarke (Newport). Mike Watkins provided a stellar customer experience from beginning to end.
We loved his availability to answer our queries and his attention to detail to ensure that we were completely happy with every aspect of the sale from the description, the photos, the viewings and keeping us informed at every stage.
We gave Mike a big challenge of selling the house within a week as we needed to exchange on our new property as quickly as possible. He was more than a match to the challenge, selling the property at the first viewing before the property had even been listed. Great service. My wife and I sold our house with Mr & Mrs Clarke. When we met Mike we were impressed with his conduct and how friendly and honest he was. We had a few challenges with our sale with initial buyer pulling out, but the same weekend Mike was able to get a buyer.

Kara has been absolutely brilliant from the moment she replied (almost immediately) to my online enquiry requesting further information about the services Mr & Mrs Clarke could offer in regards to selling my flat in Leamington.

Kara helped me no end from start to finish and I honestly don’t think I would have had such a seamless process with any other agent. Kara organised everything - the photographer and relevant props, a gardener to spruce up the outside and new carpets, nothing was too much trouble for her even during the second national lockdown!

Within 3 days of the flat going on the market I had received an offer of the full asking price and 2 months later the sale had completed.

Our experience with Mike from Mr and Mrs Clarke Newport has been incredible from start to finish. What could have been a stressful time as first time buyers was made much easier for us as Mike was always available, whether it be evenings or weekends to answer any of our questions over WhatsApp, phone or by text.
Mike is very friendly and trustworthy and gives the best service. Mike contacted us regarding a house we were interested in when the previous buyer could no longer buy, he knew how interested we were the first time around and he really made our year by calling us before putting the house back on the market which we will be forever grateful for. After 18 months trying to sell our beautiful home with a well known national estate agency (with minimal viewings and cancelled appointments) a friend recommended us to engage the services of Mike Watkins of Mr and Mrs Clarke.

The experience from start to finish was first class. Mike Watkins personally took complete charge of the marketing strategy which included an excellent 'walk through video' and a written description of the property together with key features of the surrounding area which reflected his knowledge of effective marketing.

The result was that the property sold within 3 days for the full asking price.

The difference between the quality of service which we received from Mr and Mrs Clarke (5 star) and that which we received from the previous national estate agents (1 star) cannot be over-stated.

As the fee was also very reasonable and competitive, we would have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending Mike Watkins of Mr and Mrs Clarke to any prospective Sellers ...........simply excellent !!

Buying and selling during the pandemic has not been easy with the market in the area moving so quickly after the winter lockdown! I cannot recommend Mike Watkins from Mr and Mrs Clarke more after he has supported us through this process.

From the initial meeting regarding the valuation of our property through to marketing, managing viewings and the process of exchange and completion Mike has stood out against other agents in our area (Newport, South Wales) we experienced along the way (and there have been a few as we viewed a huge range of properties).

Throughout the process Mike has been open, honest, direct and available through what has been a difficult time for us. Mike gets to know the property in order to sell it well which is certainly not something we experienced when viewing properties shown around by more 'traditional' agents in the area who seem to enlist inexperienced, ill informed agents to facilitate viewings. Some of whom were rude, disinterested and ruthless when it came to pitting buyers against each other to increase offers. Not an approach we wanted in selling our home or in buying a property. Mike uses WhatsApp, email or phone to communicate directly which was perfect for us while we both work full time. He responds after 5pm and often works weekends depending on the needs of the client. This flexibility has been key for us and again something we haven't seen offered elsewhere in the area.

When our house sale fell through in the summer, Mike immediately got it back on the market, arranged around 15 viewings for us on a Saturday while we were away camping and had 6 offers for us by Monday morning. We trusted him to manage this completely while we were away and he provided reassurance throughout the process. He found us great new buyers and we moved into our new home last week.

If you want effective, modern marketing, a genuine agent with good communication and direct management of the process all at a decent price please don't hesitate in contacting Mike Watkins from Mr and Mrs Clarke...

Warm, honest, kind, thorough and highly competent, still one the best things I can say about Edd is that he saved me hours and hours of my life! He really took care of us, booking in tradespeople when needed, overseeing work, taking pictures, following up with viewers and solicitors promptly and effectively. He was always there when you needed him, always patient with everyone, and always had a solution to any problem that arose. My previous experience with estate agents was not good, to say the least. They do the bare minimum and push you to accept offers you are not comfortable with - it's all commission to them, right? Edd was the complete opposite. A friend throughout, who left you in no doubt that he was representing your interests alone. We ended up with a good offer on our house, with a couple who we were delighted to sell to.

The house sale took a while, as expected at this end of the market, which suited us. We didn’t have too many viewings, again as expected, and it was important that those we did have were properly screened which Ben did well. All in all it was a drama free process although I know Ben was working hard behind the scenes.

Mike from Mr and Mrs Clarke worked very hard to get our house purchase over line. Communication was excellent and he went the extra mile to ensure that we were able to complete on the date proposed. He gave helpful suggestions and is very professional.

I will admit that I was a little bit dubious about using an agent who at the time was new to the industry but I honestly couldn't ask for a better agent!
