I can’t thank Mr&Mrs Clarke Newport enough for making purchasing our first home an absolute breeze.

In a time where the housing market is all over place and from our experience of contacting other estate agents, a lot don’t seem to be bothered with first time buyers and pander to big investors, it was refreshing to meet Mike Watkins from MMC, who went above and beyond to help us and make our first time buying experience a smooth one.

Mike was always on hand to answer any queries we had and if he didn’t have the answer, would go out of his way to get it for us, and never made us feel like we were asking too many question (when as FTB we obviously has tonnes of them)

I can’t recommend MMC Newport enough and if the time comes where we decide to uproot and move, they will be our first port of call to help us

When we sold our last property over 6 years ago, fixed fee online estate agents (House Network/Purple Bricks etc) had just started to appear. After being left feeling underwhelmed by the experience we were receiving from high street estate agents, who felt like nothing more that door openers when we viewed houses, we decided to take the plunge and manage the sale ourselves using an online agent to list the property. The reality was the time and effort spent staging the property, managing all viewings, and second viewings, and third viewings…. negotiating and managing the progress of the sale and solicitors at every stage far outweighed what we actually saved in estate agent commission.

However, when it came to selling our next property and invited several Stamford’s extensive high street agents round to value our home, we still had the same gut feel, would they really represent and present our home to it’s full potential and maximise the value from the sale? Their valuations and knowledge of the area and previous properties sold was underwhelming versus the readily available information on property portals, every meeting we had the same feeling – they are looking for a quick sale.

That was until we met Vicky. Vicky is revolutionising the added value service of marketing a property in Stamford and Rutland. I think that is the real difference between what Vicky and Mr and Mrs Clarke offer – a full-service marketing and sales approach rather than a traditional property sales approach. Her experience from working in both interior design and real estate in both North America and Europe means from the moment Vicky walks through your door it is a totally different experience. She took time to understand every inch of the property, the features, the work that had been completed, highlighting key selling points that would really make a property description shine. In addition to this Vicky lives and breathes the local area of Stamford and Rutland making her a great ambassador to those interested in moving to the local area.

Vicky’s advice on how to get the property ready for a photo shoot was indispensable and the time spent staging the property ahead of a full day shoot with a professional photographer as more akin to a home magazine shoot than an estate agent coming round with a camera round his neck to take a few pictures.

The impact of this was that as soon as we went on market, we were inundated with viewing requests, Vicky filtered through these requests prioritising proceedable buyers in a strong position and as a result we received offers £50k over the valuation of agents who had previously visited.

As with every sale, and even more so selling through a pandemic, there are always a few bumps in the road and at times selling and buying a house can be an emotional rollercoaster! Vicky was there every single step of the way managing the sale through and keeping it on track and saving our sanity in the process!

We are now settled in our new home but already know that when it comes to selling this house in the future that Vicky will be the first person we call. She has restored our belief in estate agents and Mr and Mrs Clarke are really setting the standard of property marketing.

We bought a beautiful home through Mike in Newport. From start to finish the service was excellent, nothing was too much trouble for him, Communication was on point 24/7 anytime we had any questions and he kept chasing the solicitors and got to us a quick completion which was very impressive. On moving day it was a breeze as he met us at our new home with the keys and showed us where everything was, even took the meter readings. A few weeks on we needed to know where the previous owners got some shelves from, within a few hours Mike had the answer. The communication still continues. We have no hesitation in recommending Mike and Mr and Mrs Clarke to anyone buying or selling. They were fantastic.

I hadn’t imagined I would be recommending an Estate agent. Ben Evans at Mr & Mrs Clarke changed my preconceived ideas. We had moved on from other Estate agents in frustration. Mr & Mrs Clarke proved to be creative, knew how to photograph a property to best effect and worked well as a team to get our the house on the market.

Rather than dropping the price to gain more interest, they choose to think of ways to upsell the special features and lifestyle our house had to offer.

Our experience has been nothing but positive - we have recently sold our flat through Mr & Mrs Clarke, following a previously unsuccessful attempt with another local Agent.

After two failed attempts at moving this year with woeful estate agent help, we are soooo glad we were buying with Mike and the Mr & Mrs Clarke service. His approach to estate agency is unlike any other, sending WhatsApp messages at 10pm is all part of the service, instant responses and even arranging supplier appointments at the future house. We recently sold our house with Ben (Mr & Mrs Clarke Solihull) what a refreshing experience! We immediately had a good feeling about Ben when he came to value our home and aside the decision to sell our home the 2nd best decision we made was to instruct Ben as our agent. Ben brings a personal touch to the process that you get with no other agent (I’ve moved house enough to vouch for that) …you benefit from Ben always making your feel priority, always on the end of the phone and he also did all the viewings and follow ups and in a timely manner fed back to us. I can’t fault the service we received from the quality of the advert to the sale process it was all amazing the only downside is we won’t be ever moving again so won’t have the pleasure of doing business with Ben in the future but I would highly recommend him to anyone!
