Totally shady and untrustworthy
I won't trust this service! They are totally shady and untrustworthy.
To explain:
I have a Macbook Pro "15, which I have checked upfront and is in perfect shape. I stumbled on mResell and decided to sell the MacBook Pro via them.
When uploading the info on the mResell website, they estimated my MacBook Pro €870, which was in line with my expectations. Note: the online estimate and 'intake' process should have raised a red flag as anyone in their right mind would want to know way more about the product to give an accurate estimate than they do.
Once mResell received the Macbook Pro, they offered €569 because they claimed the Macbook had a 'swollen battery'. When asking them for a legit report of their findings, they could not produce one. When I pushed more, they sent me an image of an open computer, which I had no way of telling it was even mine.
I declined their offer for this reason and am now awaiting the Macbook Pro to be sent back to me. I can only hope it will come back as I had sent it: wrapped in the original packaging, with a transparent computer seal over the MacBook Pro, like when I received it from Apple.
I would recommend to NOT use any service of mResell.

Hi, we are sorry to hear that you are not satisfied with our service. The whole procedure is described in our T&C, where it is clearly stated, that the website's value is only an estimated one, which will be paid out IF your device meets your description. It is also mentioned, that each device needs to pass the Apple battery test, which your device failed due to the battery being swollen. A photo of the swollen battery has been provided to you as proof. Because of that, the value was deducted by the costs of having the battery replaced. You were informed accordingly and you were able to accept or decline our offer. All in all, we followed the guidelines described in our Terms and conditions, which you accepted and read before selling your device.
