MSC is by far the WORST

MSC is by far the WORST. I emailed on Monday for detention charges for a container, it is now WEDNESDAY and no answer! How am I supposed to get my container picked up if no one emails back?! AND on top of that, they will NEVER admit when they are wrong. So them not answering emails for two days is my fault and I'm responsible for the detention charges?! By far the worse customer service!

THE WORST SHIPPING COMPANY EVER

Msc is the worst shipping company I have ever dealt with in all my years import and export. Never expect them to be anywhere near schedule, their online schedules are nothing but useless, staff unhelpful, emails are never responded to. Your shipment may be delayed for as long as 12 weeks to say the least. My business is now folding because of the useless, careless, unresponsive Msc Nigeria office. They have kept my shipment for more than 3 months unattended and now have moved it to Togo and dumped it there in the name of transshipment. How I wish I had read these reviews earlier. I gravely regret using this company.

The worst I have ever dealt with

This company needs to be reviewed by the Federal Maritime Commission for malpractice. Cases that are been reported of abuses, delays and unnecessary charges are beyond comprehension. Where is the government protecting the consumer? Are we paying taxes to have at least a functional government to monitor companies like MSC for their wrong doing. I am going to file a complaint with the FMC and I hope everybody does so that we may bring this company to act respectfully.

I want full Refund on the detention fee charged

I recently shipped goods with MSC from Ireland and this transaction has caused me a very huge loss that I am still struggling to operate my business to pay back money borrowed to make this transaction. I have been using their service for the past 6 years in my business and have never experienced a situation so sad and very costly like this one.
I booked a container to load goods for one week( weekend not included) and was caught up by the Lockdown. This affected the loading etc as by the government restriction, we were not allowed to operate business and this lasted for almost 3 months. I was in touch with my agent about this situation and was never told they will charge me a detention fee even under this circumstance that was in no way of my making. I received a bill of €10,600+(for shipment) of which €4200 was just for detention. This bill was more than the cost of the goods in the container! I kept calling and emailing both my agent and MSC but nothing was done, about 3 weeks ago MSC said they can only give me 20% discount which I am still not able to pay. The goods incurred also demurrage at the destination port. I finally borrowed money to pay as the cost was rising before they released the original papers for the goods to be released last week.
I want a full refund on the detention fee they charged me, it will help me to pay my debts. I see it as an unjust treatment knowing the situation during this time and also not letting me know that I will be charged a fee. If I had known, I will have returned their container empty.Now I am in debt with my business struggling from the effect of the pandemic and lockdown.

We have had the worst nightmare with…

We have had the worst nightmare with MSC shipping zambia and India.
There people are unprofessional and if they made a mistake they will not take responsibility.
They made mistakes with our documents and then when we were stuck asked us to pay almost 8000$ in damages to get our container household goods out of Customs when we were only doing a residential shift.
Poor stressful horrid frustrating experience.
I beg beg beg you to never use MSC.

The company is very poor with its…

The company is very poor with its customer service. There are hidden costs which you are not made aware of and due to rhw poor customer service my company had to pay an extra 5000 us dollars to get our equipment clear from Zimbabwean customs. Do not use or trust this company. You may end up abandoning your goods at the port.

Speechless about the way MSC Hai Phong working

This company work no professional. MSC Hai Phong asked us to buy the new container from them ( while we already had container) if we want to move to the next steps and when we reached out to another MSC he said that this is misunderstanding. How funny!. I hate the way MSC Hai Phong work. Mr. Cuong from MSC Hai Phong who always telling lie and did'nt try to help the issue resolved. He asked us to provide him all document of my container but the just keep the document in his drawer. MSC just want to make the time longer and asked us to pay the extra fee for the cargo.
He provided us his gmail instead of company email.
Poor customer service full of disrespect and unprofessional work ! Avoid this company

Bad service

Very unprofessional service- at Gaborone, Botswana.
No one knows how to organize the job.
Very lousy staff.
Not recommended, it wil just increase the stress of moving.

Delayed Again.

Msc is incapable of shipping a container on time. they are currently 22 days behind schedule. Polite staff tell me there is bad weather in the port of transshipment, but talking to friends in the same city they say they're sitting on the beach sunbathing and no wind to speak of.

Iain Last King of lies

Absolutely useless staff, abusive, laid back and no cooperation whatsoever. Mr Iain Last seems to think he is the only company who can provide this service. It took him 5 days to set up the account. While complaining it took him 1 minute to produce a quote proving that he was least bothered and could not be asked to work. Avoid them even if you're disparate.

MSC Sinfonia Mediterranean Sea 2016

7 days cruise MSC (Sinfonia), Venice-Split-Santorini-Mykonos-Dubrovnik-Ancona. Departure 2016/07/23 and arrival 2016/07/30.

Previous cruise experience with RCCL, 7 days in Caribbean 2008 (Freedom of the seas) and 7 days in Mediterranean Sea 2012 (Visions of the seas).

Service…staff at pool deck and buffet restaurant were very unhelpful, 8 of 10 in the staff didn’t speak English. Rules were not policed on board by staff that patrolled their designated areas (pool area and area for embarking and disembarking).

Ship...loud propeller noise, comparable to a treadmill with a speed of 6.21 mph, cabin 7157 in the stern.

Food…breakfast with no variation, the same all 7 days. Identical lunch in the restaurant and buffet restaurant with a lack of quality.

Excursions and transfer…cost for excursions in general 2/3 of what MSC charges you in all ports. Shuttlebus in Dubrovnik rented for MSC, from port to old town of Dubrovnik with return ticket. For 2 adults and 1 child MSC charges 38 euro. Local taxi drivers charges 26 euro.

We refused paying service fee (9 euro/day/adult) and only tipped our fantastic housekeeper individually.
