This is the third time I have used Samsung Recycle to sell a phone after upgrading. Their valuation is good and they transferred the funds into my account on the same day as receiving the phones. I couldn't recommend them highly enough.

Well I was dubious about using this service and now ot feels like a con to get me to buy a new phone when not receiving the value they quoted for my trade in. The s20 5g I traded in was in perfect condition, no scratches or scuffs at all. But low and behold they find an issue, 'screen burn'.....they claim this is due to the phone being used with high brightness, funny as I always had the brightness turned right down to protect the battery and the screen. So either they sell a product not fit for purpose and go on about how great the screens are or they are conning me. I've bought Samsung products for over 20 years, mever traded in until now, now I know why. I very nearly bought the pixel this time, I doubt this will get resolved so now wish I had done so. Seems im not alone after a google search.

An excellent service. Have used Samsung Recycle on a few occasions and have never been disappointed. They provide emails at each step of the process, and payment is made exactly as promised.

Very fast service. I got a quote to recycle my phone, received the free pack to send the phone within one day and the money was in my bank account three days later.

Samsung are trying to charge me £75 for my trade-in due to screen burn! This is quite clearly a manufacturing issue. Its a 4 year old phone and otherwise in almost perfect condition as it has always had a case on. I have been a samsung user for my whole life but perhaps the next time I need a new phone I will change to Apple or Google!
I told them I wanted to raise a complaint which was completely ignored by them, which goes against consumer law. So now i will be going to the Ombudsman to take matters further.
How you can charge a loyal customer for something that is clearly a KNOWN manufacturing issue is beyond me.
Won't ever be using Samsung trade in again.
Also be aware that they are asking people to delete bad reviews which is why you can only see 4-5 star reviews on Trust pilot!!!

Great experience, took 2 days to receive postage pack, sent back and had confirmation of receipt 36 hours later!! Money was in my account the same day and was the amount they quoted. Very happy and will definitely use again.

It was an easy process to sell my phone and apple watch to Samsung recycle the money was clear and in my account by 5pm the same day it was received and the price i received was exactly the same as my quote can't complain with the service received at all

I have to say, I have used this service 4 times now, and each time has been flawless. Compared to other sites these actually pay what they say (assuming you tell the truth about your device's condition). The free delivery service is great, and the updates also give me piece of mind.

I was offered £370 for my old Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra as part of a trade-in for the new S24 Ultra.

I promptly returned my old phone when my new S24 arrived. Unfortunately, the S24 Ultra had a faulty screen and was returned for a refund.

When I queried Samsung about my trade-in, they said they'd contact their 'trade-in dept' and put the 'recycling' of my old phone on hold. Me being cynical contacted their trade-in partner and they said that there was no chance of recovering my phone once they had received it!

Emailed customer service and they said I'd get the market value for the phone back in way of a refund. I was expecting £370, No they're giving me £230.

No way did I agree to this and I am absolutely livid how they could do this to me? I'm now in the unenviable position of having no phone at all. They have no right to rip me off like this and I'm not going to accept this abysmal situation.

So ultimately, heed my advice. Do not send your old phone back until you're completely satisfied with the new one. Otherwise you'll never see your old phone again and not be offered your original agreed trade-in price in return.
