Picos hikers, carry lots of water
I really enjoyed hiking the Picos De Europa. The only thing that should be fixed is letting people know to carry a 3-5 litre bladder and that water is scarce on the trail. Other then that, the guides were awesome as were the fellow hikers.

Hidden Charges, Low Luxury
I haven’t yet gone on the trip, but I’m already regretting not doing a Flashpack instead. When I asked the price of adding a night to my first hotel stay, they quoted me 150% of the hotel’s online rate for the extra night. Similarly the price of their transfers were double the going rate. I received their list of items that I’m supposed to pack, which included 20 non-clothing items. Things like personal first aid kits, biodegradable bags, toilet paper, water purification supplies, etc. It made me wonder what I’m actually paying for. Clean water is high on my list of items tour guides should have available. Their website recommends leaving large tips for both your main guide as well as other guides. For what, exactly? For you to price gouge me and give me a long list of amenities you won’t be providing?

Well chosen local partners
I have done 4 things, 2 kayaking trips in Mediterranan, Hiking in Kyrgistan and Cycling in Jordan.
MBA selected well the local partners and they, in turn, the local guides who are critical to a good experience.
I am going to try now an adventure which MBA runs for the first time and in which there are no prior customer reviews. That is trust.
So we will see if is "survivor bias" (that the successful adventures/local partners remain and the unsuccessful are discontinued)

Great trip, slightly tricky initial pickup
Basically this company acts as a middleman between you and a local guide. Generally things went well and I had an excellent trip.
Only major ding was on arrival my driver was not there to pickup, communication with MBA was a bit patchy so this was a rough start to the trip. Once my driver was found, things were ok.

Life changing experiences, excellently delivered.
Just finished my first MBA trip (ultimate Adventure in Nepal) and already booked my second trip. I cannot recommend MBA enough. The experience was flawless, their model works really well and the local company who delivered my trip was exceptional. My first ‘solo friendly’ trip was life changing. Our group of six from different countries and backgrounds gelled instantly and I believe will be lifelong friends. If you’re wondering about booking a trip with MBA just do it.

Highly recommend New Zealand trek with MBA
Just returned from an incredible trip with MBA - New Zealand Coast to Coast. Fantastic itinerary and overall experience. Loved meeting new people and seeing this beautiful country on foot, on wheels and on water!
Booking was easy, communication excellent, well organised, amazing local guides who were really supportive, experienced and knowledgable throughout.
