I have been with Music guard for many years their customer service is always outstanding, friendly and efficient. Nothing is ever too much trouble I would not use any other company.

No need to claim so far, so review is only based on ease of policy set up. Good options offered on instrument insurance, e.g. only insuring 25% / 50% taken out of house in one go, thereby lowering pre... See more

Being a first time customer searching…

Being a first time customer searching for p/l cover I was totally confused as th what cover I needed and the young man I spoke to advised in very clear and precise detail the best policy for my needs, and I would have no reservations informing my fellow artists about musicguard.

Impossible to get communication with them

I called the number given on my confirmation email, wishing to update my policy details, and found that it was answered by a different company, or different department. The person on the line tool my details and promised a callback, as the lines were apparently busy. I have not heard from them.

Website doesn't work, website never works.

Website doesn't work. It just doesn't work. I wanted to update the replacement value of my saxophone and when I click 'edit' (or even 'remove') it just goes to an error page and tells me to call them.

I had all these same problems for years using their photography insurance service too. Same website errors. Impossible to make changes online so having to call them any time I wanted to make a change which is annoying and inconvenient.

I stopped using them for photography insurance because of this. Now having the same trouble with musical instrument insurance, I will cancel this too. Of course, their website won't let me cancel, another broken or missing feature. It's not even like these are difficult cutting edge features for a website... add a new insured camera, change the value of an insured instrument. Why they can't fix their website I don't know.

Direct debit cancelled.

Hi Simon

Thanks for taking the time to post a review on TP for us.

The reason you weren't able to make a change to your policy is due to the proximity of your renewal date.

When a change is required so close to renewal we refer customers into the contact centre in order to ensure that the updated details are incorporated into the renewal documentation and premium (up or down) so that customers are renewing at the correct level of cover.

We are very happy to cancel your policy for you if you no longer require it. Unfortunately cancelling your DD doesn't cancel the policy so we have cancelled it from your renewal date of the 14th May.

Thanks

The musicGuard Team
