You'd better confirm every product dimension with the shop before ordering. Irish balalaika seems to be smaller and thinner than the Russian balalaika - it's a really tight fit, and the bottom corners of the instrument may be rubbing against it, so the finish looks like it's going to wear off even more. The instrument is old, so I'm ok, but I wanted to share this for future musicians who would be interested in this product. The quality of the case itself is excellent: it's well-padded.
