Anyone been told to “get some people…

Anyone been told to “get some people skills” by the scammers calling off 07447710449?

Absolutely hilarious actually, and how ironic (though I’ll give it to them, they may not understand the theory of irony).

I received a phone call from a British man saying I needed to get solar panels done, I said it’s fine, and he said it’s not fine (I had previously enquired about the Gov grant). Then he shouted down the phone “you need to get some people skills” and hung up. I tried calling back before reporting the number / company and they’ve got a staged recorded “welcome to my eco…” message and then hold music.

I mean, it’s a shame these people have to stoop to such low levels. At least most scammer calls end with the consumer hanging up - this wee guy just had to have the last word 😅

Absolutely disgusting customer service,

Absolutely disgusting customer service,
Somebody called me 20 mins ago,

Firstly, its cold calling,
Secondly, I got as far as saying that "I'm sorry I'm really not feeling too good......"
I didn't get to finish my sentence before the phone was hung up on me,
(I'm genuinely quite poorly at the minute)

I tried calling back, on hold for 18 mins with nobody answering,
Instead of me wasting my time, calling back to finish my sentence and ask why they were ringing me,

I turned to trusty Google to find out who they were,
Which lead me to these reviews,

Perhaps more training in customer service relations wouldn't go a miss,

I was quite shocked to be honest, its not the kind of telephone call you expect to receive,

I'll be going back and blocking that number for sure,
They're just making themselves look fools!!!

Click bate advert claiming HMRC £50,000…

Click bate advert claiming HMRC £50,000 compensation for users of oil or LPG heating systems. At best this may get to up to £7,500 in gov grant to get a heat pump but I would not trust them as far as I could throw them given their fake adverts, avoid pick someone reputable or go to the gov.uk website directly. Their page also seemed to suspiciously have a 5 star trust pilot rating picture.

Kind, thoughtful and considerate.

Like other responses, responded to the online advert that popped up. Yes it shows the UK Gov relevant page in it's advert. I did not think I was contacting the government.

I filled in the enquiry form. Confirmed our central heating was LPG boiler, that we were on qualifying benefits and that our property was one of the ones that came up on their list (just 5 of many with the same postcode).

The person that rang me less than an hour later, Kyle, after I filled in the form was quickly able to determine that our home and situation qualified for up to £30k grant for a replacement heating system. However he also quickly determined that due to the exclusion of solar panels due to the building being listed and our island location, their company was unlikely to be able to help us.

He continued to advise me on how to find a company that might and gave me advice on eligibility under the chance that our current efforts to acquire social housing for medical reasons, sell the property, then downsize by purchasing a medical needs appropriate property would not affect our eligibility for any property we were in whether we had received grants for previous properties or not, if the property was eligible for any upgrade.

He was kind, thoughtful, straightforward and considerate. The advice was gratefully received and very useful and welcome. Especially impressive as it had been determined early on that his company was unlikely to benefit from giving it!

Responded to an advert online as my oil central heating had packed in . Was skeptical at first as the person I spoke to told me this was government funded and I could have a heating upgrade with ashp and solar as well as internal wall insulation . I was sent across to the qualification team who sent an email confirming it was in fact free . The team that came out were courteous and also very nice . I don’t understand the bad reviews here as I have had this grant and can assure anyone that this a free grant named eco four . I have recommend my neighbours for this work and they are also going through the process

Spoke to a lady named kylie and she was really great dealing with my mother in law. She was able to send us through to a company who qualified us for a grant and she got new heating and wall insulation. Her bills have dropped dramatically since this was done and it didn’t cost us a penny
