Worst delivery company in the UK - Probably

Why is it whenever I have a problem with a delivery it is always the same company - UK MAIL. Late, damaged, not arriving on correct day, knock and give you 5 seconds to answer. The staff on the end of the phone are totally uninterested - and all in all the problem is always - MY FAULT !!!
Perhaps if they didn't employ self employed horse riders, many of who don't speak English and actually got there on staff in they may come in higher up the food chain. AVOID - TELL YOUR SUPPLIERS NOT TO USE.
If UK MAIL read this, get your staff over to FedEx, phoooww they are the business, and they have nice smiling faces !!!

1 star way too generous!

execrable "service" ... 2nd time have suffered at the hands of these cowboys.. when buying on line it would be beneficial to know which courier company will be used...if UK Mail is mentioned.. then for me, the sale is lost to the retailer.

Their poor telephone staff are at best curt if not downright rude .... due no doubt to the awful service they provide...I guess staff retention must be an issue.

Their contact system both via telephone or online is arcane .... Kafkaesque in fact! iI have received e/mails 2 or 3 mins apart purporting to tell me both that my parcel had been delivered and "sorry they had missed me" and a card had been left ...neither of which had happened..

10 days for a small parcel to arrive from Suffolk .... a stagecoach in 18thc would have been quicker!

Diabolical service. Avoid!

Appalling service from UK mail Exeter. I had to do a 110 mile round trip to collect my delivery as the driver forgot / chose not to load my goods on the van 2 days on the trot. When I got there it was damaged as well.
1 star is 2 too many. Avoid at all costs.

So many people cannot be wrong.

Awful experience. Parcel was supposed to be delivered on a timed pre10.30. Yes I paid extra. No show. Waited until 11. No note, no postcard nowt. Rescheduled again. Website unhelpful. We had to call. Could only deal with my wife because of the value of the item. We were told it would be delivered between 8 and 6. They would text on Monday morning to give us a time. Monday. No text. Rang them. After ages of waiting was told that they would call within 2 hours. No call back. No schedule nothing. Website now says delayed. Christ it was only coming from Heathrow to SW10. Waited in ALL DAY. The staff couldn't card less or be bothered. They said they would call my wife and give her an update. They didn't. When I called they said they were an inbound service only and were unable to call back. I've found them very unprofessional in the dealing with the public and just a complete shambles. I wonder if they will deliver the parcel this side of the weekend. Any bets? Useless.

They've got incompetence down to a fine art!!

DO NOT USE!! Unbelievably poor company!! Delivery was first scheduled 27th May, didn't show. Again on 31st, again didn't show. Rescheduled for 1st June then phoned UKMail when it didn't arrive to be told that the driver couldn't park because the dual carriageway has no parking signs all the down the road. I don't live anywhere near a dual carriageway and parking is not only non-restricted but also abundant. The call looked centre confirmed the address was correct (it was) and even looked on Google street view and saw no problem with deliveries. I was promised the following day. Not only did it not arrive but according to the online tracking system, not only had it arrived but I had signed for it!! Spoke to them again on 3rd (1 week later) to be told it was signed for in error but was already out of for delivery and was 100% guaranteed to be delivered today. My drop off number was stop 99 and delivery was expected between 16:50 and 17:50. Around about 14:30 I checked progress and the driver was allegedly already on call 90. This did not change until about 19:00 when it started creeping up again right up to call 98. I have cancelled the order as too much time has been wasted on phone calls to a very incompetent service centre.

Contempt for the customer

Really poor experience and service. Told when to expect delivery but untrue. Driver lied about delivery. Totally... I mean totally, inaccessible company. I couldn't even find a postal address.

Still Waiting

Ordered a case of wine from Virgin Wines and logged online to see that it was showing as delivered when it hadn't been. This is now the third delivery I have had over the last 6 months where it shows as delivered. So far this has been 1 going to a neighbour 4 houses away with a completely different address and postcode, and now two not showing up at all.The reason companies use them is they are cheap but not cheerful. End result is that I am going to close my account with Virgin Wines.Companies have to realise that whilst its not their fault the goods are not delivered by the courier it is their fault for using them.

UK Mail Comedy Company

This company are as much fun as a Sand Paper Dildo.
I believe their IVR telephone system was designed by Indians from the upper class or sect they have over there, as it like dealing with UK Planning departments. As much use as T-I-T-S on a chicken.

Thanks UK F-ING Mail for balls up my bank holiday weekend You are a complete shower of manure!!!

Joke of a company!

Paid to have a parcel next day delivery between 6-10pm and the company used UK Mail. Waited in all evening with no sign of the courier..after checking the tracking i see that the courier has been in possesion of the parcel since 16.22 but has made no attempt to deliver in the time slot i paid for! Items will not arrive in time for purpose now. UK Mail are giving the companies that hire them a bad reputation and i shall be checking that anything that i order from now on is not to be delivered by UK Mail.

Terrible service.

They ask for safe place details. Give them this. They ask that print off delivery receipt. Leave in said safe place printed and left in said safe place. Arrive home. Look in save place no goods. Note still in situ. Go in house open inner front door. Find delivery card UK mail. Left goods in dustbin. Had to pass safe place to get to dustbin. Tried to complain. Rang number on card left. Not in service according to telephone company. Attempted to find email address to no avail. Left complaint note on their contact page. Only to find message saying complaint ended satisfactorily. No one contacted me. Nor have I found an email address for them. Tried telephone the number on their contacts page to get to automated system which appears to have or give any option to speak to a human being.

What a useless company!

My parcel was apparently delivered..... unfortunately to the wrong address. Informed was left behind my garden gate. I don't have one! Trying to speak to a customer advisor is a nightmare. The answer system does not cater for parcels delivered to the wrong address! Computerised chaos! Eventually got through to a real person, who assured me they would contact me before 8pm. That was yesterday! In the meantime, my parcel has appeared from a house half way down the street! What a company! The drivers should be able to read, shouldn't they?

Horibble Service

My Consignment 31092961405474 keeps going out for delivery from past 2 days now and dosent get delivered to me. The Depot keeps qouting bank holiday delay , but customer care says depot missed it to put it on the van on 9th and on 10th the driver could not locate the parcel. Uk mail keeps qouting about thier 1st class service and it clearly shows what 1st class service they are upto. Its evident there cant be any more pathetic company than them

Absolute Rubbish Service

Been waiting for my parcel for over a week now. Have tried to re-arrange delivery for another day (twice) to leave it with a neighbour but the driver couldn't follow instructions. Very poor service compared to other courier companies out there, hopefully sellers on eBay will stop using crap companies like this one!!!

I cannot speak highly enough

I now have had two parcels delivered, door to door, by IPost, (UKMail), to friends in Australia. The cost was very reasonable and the service exceptionally fast and efficient - only 5 days!

I had tried to deliver the same parcels by Interparcel and it was an unmitigated disaster - neither parcel was delivered and I had to pay an exorbitant charge to have them returned to me!

I will NEVER use Interparcel again - and I will ALWAYS use IPOST in future!

Well done, IPOST and UKMail for providing me with a top class service at a very reasonable cost.

The absolute worst

I tried to think of anything positive about this organisation and I failed. They don’t deliver when they say they will, they have no customer services that you can actually contact and communication overall is non-existent. I recently had two separate parcels due, both of which were ‘delayed’ with no explanation. Attempts to contact customer services through the number listed on the website was comical. On connection you have three options; all of which when chosen only returned you to the main options again. After NINE attempts I gave up. Next attempt was with another number found on Google. I got through only to be told my parcel reference number was too long and I had to dial, you guessed it, the website number. I tried to explain the issue with both my lack of delivery and the contact number fiasco. No ownership and a ‘can’t help’ attitude. Overall this company are plainly unfit for purpose. In the cutthroat courier business they are only going one way and it sure isn’t up. They need to look at DPD and UPS for good practice. I never have issues with either.
