Wish I could give 0

Wish I could give 0. This is a complete scam of a company. Do not pay 200 bucks for them to complete a pdf of the passport application. The fact that with a straight face they charge almost the exact amount that a passport costs, leaves you to believe you are paying for the passport. You are not. DONT DONT FALL FOR THIS SCAM

Complete Scam

Complete Scam. I used their service to expedite my passport. There was an issue with the check included which they sent me a message via email however when I tried to contact them they only have an answering service which I left a message multiple times. It has been weeks and no return call or further correspondence. Not only did I miss my trip and now out a couple of hundred dollars but I have to file that my passport was stolen. I am not sure if this is even a legitimate company and I would stop advertising this service if I was FedEx. It has soured my relationship with them as well.

My passport photo was denied, just sent the packet back...

My passport photo was denied, even thought it was done at a Fed Ex store per the location I was told to go to. My trip passed and there was no update on their log in portal. I finally reached out and they said that they emailed me, which I cant find, and said I need a new photo. I had to call and we chat to find out the packet was being mailed back to me. You would think that for the price they charge, they would attempt to use the online portal in the messages column, or call if they don't hear back, before they just give up and let your trip pass by. I would not use them again based on this. I had to pay again, even more this time to get it re-expedited.

They charged for a 2 week expedited with no reimbursement for 6 week..

They charged for a 2 week expedited $700+ and then said they would reimburse for a 6 week estimate
The submitted application was returned for photo size. Letter dated 12/21. No indication from gov works that there was an issue with application. Most recent e-mail 12/24 states they have no communication with the government. No responses to e-mails. Don't waste your money

I had little to no communication

I had little to no communication. I was forced to go through the State Department myself. When I called for help I never talked to the same person. When I finally got ahold of someone they were not helpful and did not give me any guidance. This is a scam.

charged me $600 and never actually sent…

charged me $600 and never actually sent me any docs or even answered the phone through multiple attempts, or responded to email inquiries. This is a criminal organization. I feel like an idiot for not reading these reviews first.

They took my $200 and ran

They took my $200 and ran. The service rep I spoke to before purchasing said that the 5 week turn around was probably closer to 6... just like the USPS' regular expedited timeline. I wish I had just gone thru the USPS first. Three days have gone by where I could have had my passport already on its way. Contacted mygovworks for a refund... tbd. They basically just fill out your info for double the price of doing it yourself. It would just be better to do this through the government.

SCAM

Horrible. This place is a scam. They lost my old passport and just told me to contact the state department. Just go to the port office and have them handle it. It will be faster. No customer service. Fraudulant.

Avoid this service at all cost

Avoid this service at all cost, they shipped my passport from Minneapolis to Florida were they shipped it between to other cities in Florida before they shipped it to the passport agency that took 11 days!! then when I called to check on it they tell you it's being reviewed and then they tell you that the delivery date is based on when the State Department receives your pass port so all of the time they waist shipping your passport all over the country doesn't count towards the reviewing process. When you call the State Department they won't talked to you because you have used a third party to process your passport. I paid for 5 weeks and it looks like i'll get it back,(they say) in 8 weeks because the time it took to get it to the State department doesn't count. I cannot believe I'm saying this but your neighborhood Government center is more efficient!

Fraudulent.

On June 4, 2019, there was a fraudulent action committed against me by GovWorks – an online company that claims to expedite US passport renewal.

I initiated the process of filling out an online US passport renewal application on that site.
The only way to proceed with filling out the application, was to provide my CC number - without being charged - I provided my AmEx number.
On June 4, 2019, in the process of completing the application, I found I needed assistance with certain questions and I called a representative of the company.
In the course of my discussion with the representative, I understood that the representative was not able to answer the questions and that the visa service was a scam. I immediately told the representative that I would not proceed with the application and would not submit my documents for renewal through them. I further told them explicitly that my credit card should not be charged as (1) no service had been provided to me (2) the application was never finished and (3) the “submit" button never pressed.

The representative told me I would NOT be charged.

Nonetheless, because I was suspicious of the company, I checked my AmEx account online, and, found a fraudulent pending charge in the amount of $248.90.

I immediately reported the fraudulent charge to the AmEx operator. I was told it would be suspended and investigated.

For two weeks the charge remained on my card, at which point, my business partner and lawyer got on the phone with AmEx. A full credit in the amount of $248.90 was applied back to my card.

On August 2, 2019, having just returned from a business trip promoting the motion picture my partner and I had completed, for which I needed the passport renewal and visa, I found that the charge of $248.90 was back on my card.

When I called AmEx, a rep explained to me that, while I was out of the country, the fraudulent party succeeded at convincing AmEx that the $248.90 charge was for services rendered.

But NO SERVICES WHATSOEVER WERE RENDERED to me by GovWorks

To further prove that, I’m submitting receipts for the expedited US passport renewal application with the US Department of State -
– the filled out application with my OLD PASSPORT and the money order were mailed to the US Department of State on… June 4, 2019.
– the NEW PASSPORT was mailed to me June 11, 2019
– the NEW PASSPORT arrived June 12, 2019.

Absolutely NO services were provided to me by the fraudulent GovWorks – as the application was NEVER completed by me, NEVER filed be me, and – more importantly – my OLD PASSPORT was NEVER mailed to them to even be able to provide services to me related to the expedient renewal of my US passport.

Their claim is preposterous and 100% fraudulent

Govworks charged me $227 for expediting…

Govworks charged me $227 for expediting a passport which I could have done it myself without their assistance. Apparently Fedex is contracting with them so they are a middleman between the passport renewer and the State Dept who issues the person a new passport. To expedite a passport renewal , it should only costs $208.32 for an adult; ($130 + $60 + $18.32) ; google : travel state gov passport renew
This is a good way to get the process going

Govworks actually works

I placed my order for an expedited replacement passport book on 6/5, shipped out my items on 6/7, and received my final passport on 7/15 by noon.

This company is legit and actually works!

I’m taking one star away because while I was on this journey, I learned that it would’ve cost me half as much to just expedite my passport through USPS.

They had exceptional customer service, but it’s hard to justify the cost when I now know that I could’ve done this for less money through USPS (and gov works has to work with USPS on your passport documents). So you’re basically paying them to work with USPS on your behalf.

NO ACTUAL 'ONE WEEK' SERVICE

'Rush my Passport' advertises 'one week service' but they really can't offer that. The fastest they can do it is 7 BUSINESS DAYS counting the days after they get it, and before they mail it back, so there's not actually 'one week service','that's 9 days in their custody. It takes about 10-11 days overall to get a new passport back to you. They are clear in their instructions, but unfortunately the amount they clearly told me to make my money order for included the SF Passport Agency sending it back to me by UPS; so when they opened my packet, they realized I'd been incorrectly instructed. I had to pay the actual due amount OVER AGAIN by credit card, plus $ 10 for using a credit card to pay (since this was due to THEIR error, it would have been classy of they'd waived the $10.) I got my passport back one day later than the promised delivery, but luckily, this problem didn't cause me to miss my flight. Otherwise, they were OK in my tight spot situation of thinking my passport was valid when it had expired~! Then, with my passport, my money order was sent back to me and I had to get a refund at the Post Office when I would much rather have been packing. Since this is high season, the wait to talk to one of their agents is insanely long.

I had an excellent experience with this…

I had an excellent experience with this company. I went to Fed x and the service gal took my picture, down loaded my paper work. All I needed to do was write the check out for my passport and picture. The gal put the packet together gave me the tracking number and that was it. 4 weeks later, my passport came!!!! I was extremely impressed. I would HIGHLY recommend gov. Works
